"Shameless" (1 Viewer)

The wacky sex antics are getting to be a bit much. Feel like they're going for cheap shocks/laughs more and more this year.
It's really losing it's realness for me...just constant shock and awe. There are still touches here and there of personality and heart...but it's usually sandwiched between so many ridiculous and over the top moments.I'll still watch but something has definitely changed...it's like they're purposely trying to out-do themselves each episode and hit every fetish and freak of nature situation. It's still funny...but again, the heart is lacking...

This show is definitely over the top.

I wonder if Jimmy having dinner with his former med school classmates (was Jimmy in med school??? I don't remember that.) is setting up for future hyjinks? Jimmy runs a scam on them...gets them to invest in his coffee shop?
I think he dropped out but didn't want his family to know. His family thought he was still in med school several years after he stopped going.
So Jimmy's going back to med school. I like my idea better.

I don't think the timing makes sense. Jimmy says that he's done two years of med school, so he has only one year left.First, I don't know anybody who graduated from med school in three years. It's a four year program, right?

Second, when "Steve" first met Fiona, his family thought he was still in Michigan in med school, and I think it had been at least a year since he'd dropped out. If he now has only one year left, why didn't his family think he should have graduated already?

Finally got around to watching last week's episode. I don't get all the hate for Jimmy. I think his and Fiona's character play off each other well. I still think the driver gave him a gun to shoot the big bad boss. Or the driver himself will save Jimmy. They just seemed to be foreshadowing Jimmy's death way too much.

And Frank stepping up completely caught me by surprise. But I liked it. There are times throughout the show that Frank shows some decency, or at least you think he does, then it turns out he had an alternative motive the entire time.

Overall, I've really enjoyed this season.

The show is called Shameless. Its point is to shock and awe. Not sure why people are down on the high-octane nature of the show.

I don't really care for Jimmy, but if Opie ends up as Fiona's new beau, I won't be a happy camper. Way too clean cut for me. Oh Fiona, you're drunk and having second thoughts about me plowing you. Let me stock our hot session so that I can get a new merit badge just doesn't work for me.

Not sure what's going on with the girl who was hit by the car. Hopefully she pulls out of it and becomes herself again. Lip deserves some more abuse.

Did I miss something with regard to Frank. I could have sworn that the last episode ended with him being gangbanged by the homosexual club. That would still leave the hetero club option open. Why did the new episode open with him homeless? Guess maybe the hetero faction now no longer needed him as he was dumped as a gay spokesman, but they needed to flesh that out (or, I just blacked out on a segment of the show).

I enjoy how Frank turned himself in too. Perhaps he just wants a regular meal or, he misses a guy to cuddle up with.

Ya I don't think Jimmy is dead. Best season by a mile, started out with a couple of slow episodes and then got rolling with great episodes nearly every week.

If they bring him back, it will be the worst decision ever. I gave the writers credit for not having to hold our hand and show us his death in paint-by-numbers fashion. But if he's not dead - or at the very least, alive but never coming back - that would be incredibly weak writing. We've already seen how ruthless Estefania's father is. Now he's just supposed to let Jimmy off the hook after getting his daughter deported? Speaking of Estefania, that's the only bad part about Jimmy's exit. I can't live without her ass.

True. After the chainsaw scene in the lounge room, no way Jimmy's alive.

I had mixed views on the finale. For some reason it was missing something. Maybe its just the thought that Frank either has to give up drinking or die. The idea of a non-alcoholic Frank scares the bejeebus out of me. haha

I'm in the "they better not bring Jimmy back" camp. That stupid smile of his grated on me.

Frank has so many vices that he is still a great character to explore without being an alcoholic. I can see them making him some sort of AA Mentor or something and messing with people to giving him money or drugs.

Plus his future relapses will be fun to watch. I would not mind if they make Frank sweet and steady for the first few episodes only to make the old Frank reappear.

Agree that Jimmy was becoming a bit of a bore, but he will not be out of the picture so quickly. That would be an injustice for the story to have a guy who was a major part of 3 seasons just be erased without a mention of again, they will probably ignore him for a while, but he will be back.

Finally caught up, watched season 3 over the last week. Great freakin show, it sucks we gotta wait so long for season 4.

I follow Emmy Rossum on Twitter. I keep asking for naked pics. No luck so far.
You may be waiting for awhile. I heard an interview with her where she got all upset there were naked pics of her on the Mr. Skin site. She seemed rather prudish about the whole thing which surprised me given how often she's topless on this show. Oh well, chicks. What are you gonna do?

I hope for the sake of the show that Jimmy's dead. Not because I disliked his character but it would really be stretching credibility for him to not have been killed off given what we saw the dad (sorry forget his name) do to the guy earlier in the season plus Jimmy's phone getting tossed in the water. Gonna take a lot of explaining to just bring him back so hopefully he's gone and the story can move on with Fiona finding more guys she can get naked with. I'm good with that.

But why would her father send Fiona money? He knew and didnt care that Jimmy was seeing her, but he saw her as a ghetto slut or something to that effect. I dont think he would give a rats ### about giving her money. When the father and Jimmy met in the restaurant, he told Jimmy his daughter was being held for deportation, and he was going to 'grease some palms".So my theory is he paid some people off to get his daughter out, and she convinced him not to kill Jimmy. She was on the yacht Jimmy got on, and they were taken somewhere safe and Jimmy is being forced to stay with her as punishment, never allowing his return to or contact anyone in the states (which is why the cell phone was tossed into the drink). Once they got to their destination, Jimmy somehow convinced the henchman dude to deliver some money to Fiona.

Any last requests?

Per him they aren't bringing Jimmy back. He doesn't know if he dies but all he knows is that they don't plan to have him back next season...for whatever that is worth
From my buddy who works on the show...

Fiona goes out looking for Jimmy. Can't find him anywhere. Concerned, she breaks into his old apartment. As she's looking around for clues as to his whereabouts, Estefania emerges from the shower, glistening and towel-less. RN can take it from here...

I hope this show fails so the two of them can get into porn.

Together.

Jimmy's off the show. No need for her either now, I guess. Green light that ####.

I'm not giving up hope. At least some soft Cinemax-ish porn. Where else is she gonna work? She can't act.

Thanks to Brownie for making me obsess over Stephanie Fantauzzi all day.

I made a nice pic of her.... posted in the Erotic Funhouse.

There is a spoiler here about the nudity in the first episode this season:

The season premiere of Shameless premiered early on Showtime On-Demand and Emmy Rossum has a topless scene. Rossum is topless as Fiona is in bed with a new boyfriend during sex and afterwards. She is on her back but her breasts are fully visible for quite awhile.
:excited:

They mention in there that episode 4.01 is available right now via Showtime On-Demand, but COX doesn't have it up yet. Do you Directv guys have it available yet?
