Great episode last night. Thought the show was losing steam but last night killed. "if ignorance is bliss then down syndrome is euphoria""United we stand divided we keep sucking ****"Galadriel Stineman, the camp counselor, showing the goods....wow. Jody talking about his sex addiction, shocking even the degenerates at the bar had me laughing pretty hard.

That was one of my favorite scenes in the entire series.

Just got 3 months of Showtime free in the mail today. Unfortunately, On Demand, has this starting with season 2. Worth it? I like bewbs, too.

Carl seems a bit dim.
He's by far the least interesting character on the show in my opinion. Only Cusack comes close.
Ranking the characters I'm most interested in:FionaFrankKevinLipVDebbieCarlIanMandySheila/Jody

Jody redeemed himself with the great scene in the bar. I'm more agreeable to him now. But Sheila can go.
Good point. Jody on his own actually has some good lines, but until the bar scene I don't think there had been a Jody scene without Sheila being a part of it too. They're kind of a package deal for the most part.

Yup. I posted before that I tend to FF through the Sheila stuff unless Macey's in it. But I stuck around a bit in this episode after Jody's speech. But I still can't stand Sheila. The best part in the bedroom was when Frank was there giving Jody instructions on how to ... open up. :)

The cancer camp was totally predictable, but for some reason I rather enjoyed the way it unfolded. It's always interesting to see the introduction of new characters. I wonder if they have the penis girl stick around. The weak part to me in this episode was the cashier meeting. This subject has so much potential but hasn't really progressed well IMO. Hopefully they do something more substantial with it. I agree on Jody's description of his sexual perversion. It was hilarious.

I'm saddened to say but I'm kinda losing my love of the show.I just cannot stand that hobbit looking Steve and his entire storyline.I hate everything with Cusack and that long haired boytoy (except the one scene in the bar).I feel like the show has lost its heart. The only story I cared about this week was the girl at the pool dealing with the girl bullies. It seems like every episode they're trying way, WAY too hard to shock and disgust us. Which is fine...if it were some kind of shock comedy show but I felt like this show was just about a loving, but jacked up family trying to make it in spite of their dire surroundings.Girl penis and the mom using a turkey baster in the living room...with Fiona digging up a body in the front yard. It's like they tried to cram a season worth of over the top scenarios all in one episode.

I kind of feel similar. Then just as everything in the world goes wrong, CPS shows up at that very moment.

I'm kinda stunned that we are in season 3, yet barely on page 3 of this thread.

This show is phenomenal. I'm hoping Stephanie Fantauzzi's storyline continues on for awhile. (Steve/Jimmy's "wife")... the better the chance to see "more" of her. That is one perfect body she's got there!
:goodposting:
Just when you think Frank can't get any slimier. :lmao:
Some of the stuff he was telling his son was hilarious. "You're not a thinker, so brain cancer won't impact you that much." This depravity of Frank's is gold.
:lmao: I'll agree with others that this storyline is a bit out of character for Frank, but it's lead led to great moments like the above. I also enjoyed the Galadriel Stineman "flash."

I too am tiring of Steve/Jimmy. There is nothing remotely intriguing about his storyline.Kill him off for yet more shock value, and have Estefania move in with the Gallaghers as a naked maid.

Forgot to mention... talk about manufacturing a storyline? One week, the cashiers are at Fiona's, having fun and getting drunk. The next week, she is hated because she took "someone else's job"? :loco:

She's hated because she's not carrying "her share of the load." (I'm not sure whether we're saying the same thing. I've never heard "someone else's job" used as a euphemism, but maybe it is...)

I only partially pay attention these days, but didn't the gross cashier tell Fiona that her friend (or relative or whatever) didn't get the job at the market because Fiona took it? Or did I completely hear that incorrectly?

Maybe. I don't remember that part. But they started hating her when she let it slip that she hadn't been spending quality time with the manager like everybody else had been. So the other girls were having to pick up her slack.

Another ridiculous story. They have to find a balance between unusual, zany situation where hilarity ensues, and completely off-the-wall-absurd situation. On what planet would this guy be allowed to continue on with that activity?

They went from "partying together" to "pissed at her" because she told them that she hasn't been taking her shift blowing the manager (she doesn't have to b/c she blackmailed him). They all liked her at the party she threw for him. A couple were down with her drive to end the BJs, but most weren't.Then she slipped up and mentioned she hadn't been giving them. This Sunday's episode picked up with them knowing that. Not the strongest of storylines, but they didn't change course for no reason.

It's just pure dumbness...he chastises her for smoking in the girl's room. Like he's going to fire her with the recording she has on him.And like anyone has to blow him anymore...she could just tell him it all stops now...or the recording goes viral. Everyone considers her a hero...it's just too damn manufactured and ridiculous. It's a quick, simple fix with a 3 second conversation.

And yes, the other girls are made at Fiona because she's not going down on the boss on "break" like they have to...and she took the job of the girl who just learned to control her gag reflex, etc...blah, blah, insert insanity...watch us all squirm and reflect on how wonderful our jobs are that we don't have to do that...

She didn't just take the job of any girl. She had been training her SISTER on how to forget it properly so she could get this job. Just stop with this.

I tend to agree with this. It's almost too much. I'd rather them try for less shock factor and focus more on developing the story lines. Frank has been money this season. Although I have a hard time liking his character, I've enjoyed every scene he has been in. I was hoping Debbie would humiliate the chick rather then trying to drown her, although I'm sure that gets her point across. I'm tired of the Ian/Gay boyfriend/Jimmy's Dad line. It's just annoying at this point. I liked the back and forth between Jimmy and Fiona at the end, that led to Jimmy leaving. It was a good scene from both of their parts, plus we got to see more of Jimmy's wife, always a plus. Lip calling Karen was interesting. Did they switch actresses for Mandy after the first season or am I just remembering wrong?Overall I'm still enjoying the season, but I feel like they might lose my interest here soon, just too much that it's becoming too unbelievable. Which is a shame, because I really enjoyed the first two seasons.

While all this may be true, my comment wasn't incorrect. Just went back and watched the episode. The other cashier says "My baby sister shoulda got your job!"

Not sure I get your point...I just didn't remember who she got the job over specifically...I knew it was family member but didn't want to say sister or cousin if I was remembering incorrectly.I actually understand why the other girls are pissed at Fiona...it just makes no damn sense whatsoever.

Fiona walks into office or wait, it's gotta be shocking so she'll do it over the intercom...threaten the boss to stop the knobbers or she'll report him. And we're done...no more conflict.

That's what they discussed at her party. They know that they don't have to blow him anymore, but the majority wanted to. In return for blowing him, they get to take sick days when they aren't sick, etc. If they get him fired, or if they stop blowing him and he quits, some other manager may come in and play by the rules, which the majority voted would be worse than the current situation.I agree that it's stupid. But the stupid part isn't failing to figure out that they don't have to blow him anymore; the stupid part is figuring it out and wanting to keep doing it anyway.

Yeah, she was played by Jane Levy during the first season. Then she got cast in "Suburgatory".She was really good. A little better than new Mandy, I think. Sadly, I don't think we ever got a look at Jane's cans or nekkid rump.

This show gets real dark without much warning.
Yeah, #### got pretty real last night. My wife took the 2nd time Kev nailed V's mom as her cue to go to bed. I still don't understand why Jimmy, Lip, Ian and Kev haven't rounded up the "let's beat up a pedophile posse" to go have a chat with the store manager yet. Maybe it's a good sign of restraint on the show's part. It seems they very rarely rely on scoundrels using violence on other scoundrels as a method of resolving conflict, as most other shows do.Speaking of violence, I assume Frank's got a good beating coming soon. I still can't figure out why Frank did it. I assume he did it to get leverage from Fiona and get free reign of the house, but I don't imagine he factored in the requirement that he'd have to sober up and go to parenting classes.I might've thrown up in my mouth a bit during his urine test.

Didn't he do it after Debs beat the hell out of him with the pillowcase full of soaps? I think he did it as kind of a "payback" without realizing the consequences, and then later tried to spin it in his favor. The Kev nailing V's mom line is getting really annoying. I skipped over them when I was watching it last night on DVR. I figured the child protection lady was going to offer Fiona a job. I can't imagine why Ian would stay with that guy after that, time go to back to Jimmy's dad.

Frank with his urine test was hilarious. I didn't see that coming at all. Me and my lady were trying to figure out how he was going to sneak his clean urine in. They keep adding more and more story lines, seemingly just to try to shock and be more outrageous that are really starting to detract. Like what Raider Nation said, it's too much. It's starting to lose me, because I find myself more annoyed when watching it. Which sucks, because I really really liked the last two seasons.

Maybe Mickey was doing that as payback for Ian trying to run while Mickey was getting the beaten out of him? (though Mickey probably didn't even see that)Or maybe he was just trying to demonstrate his newfound heterosexuality to his dad?

Mickey's been bi for as long as he's been on the show. His reaction was about what's to be expected from any halfway hetero guy with a hot, naked woman on top of them.
