Shark Pool Board Mock Draft - Version 1 (3 Viewers)

Yeah a Friday start might not have been a great idea. Hell let's just start over on Monday.
That's really not a terrible idea. Maybe without trades.
I really think that these would run so much smoother if they were done without trades.
:goodposting: Dont like when trades are allowed in these things. So impossible to predict.
great post.
I'm fine with whatever Andy decides. It's not like we made it so far that it would be a PITA to rerun it. We could always just go back to 1.3 when the first trade happened.
it died again right before my pick :(
I've been in this thing the last 2 years.....I don't remember an entire weekend go by without at least one pick made. Wow.
Yeah I think I've done it 3 years but it's never died like this on a weekend.

Yeah. I'm thinking we should start over without trades.

This isn't going like I thought it would. When I said "reasonable" trades I didn't really mean "logically justifiable" necessarily. Trades involving players and next year's 4th rounders, for example, weren't what I had in mind.

In fact, that's what we're going to do. We're going to go back to the Vikings pick (my pick) and start from there:

#3 - Matt Kalil, OT - USC

Yes, it's entirely possible that the Redskins trade up to #2 or #3. And I think it's more likely that Kalil goes to the Rams, in which case the Vikes would take Blackmon over Claiborne since running the cover none...I mean two...doesn't require an elite cornerback.

Well, Im sticking with Claiborne. That is unless I missed something and he's gone now...

#4 Pick - Morris Claiborne, CB, LSU

Nope. You're good.No RGIII though? Do you think the Browns themselves feel this way?
Personally, I think the Browns go RG3 here.. though it seems 95% of my counterparts seem to think otherwise. So, Ill go this route to see how our team will look defensively after this draft

 works for me.

I really think this is where the draft gets interesting. I think what happens here really depends on where Flynn goes. If he goes to Miami, then I think Washington might make a play to move up here. Unless the Browns are just flat out in love with them I think they move down, acquire picks and continue to fill holes and build. Last year Julio Jones would have been a great pick at 1.7 especially for an Offense that lacked/still lacks playmakers on offense. I really think Claiborne is a possibility with the way the AFC North is not a run first division any longer. Having Haden and Claiborne at CB really would help this defense a ton. I am not in love with any D-line prospect this high in "this" draft. The only issue that I see with moving down to 6 is the chance Claiborne goes at 1.5 to TB. We would have to hope that TB takes Richardson. But if we picked up another early 2nd and more I'd be fine with it. Kirkpatrick is also another option. IMO the D-line players will gain steam around the early 20's through the top of the 2nd. having 4 picks in the top 40 overall would be huge for this team.

I will say that I am warming up to RG3 though.

is this thing still going....got a pm that I was up with KC's pick, but then it looks like we started over and are at #3....

So who is on for TB now? Back to EAK or letting Assani keep it?
I PM'd EAK, so we'll see what happens this morning as everyone get's a grip on the re-boot.
10-4. I know he posted that he did not like Kirkpatrick here with all the trouble from Talib. Had Claiborne not come off the board he would have been the pick. How in love with Freeman are the Bucs? Any chance they could surprise here and take RG3?

I feel a little bad as apparently I was the cause for this. :bag: I was trying to think outside of the box a little with Kalil on the board. I just did not like what was there at 1.9 and tried to trade down but was not getting my in reply. Sorry for all the trouble gang.

I dont think TB needs a RB here, their problem was their awful defense.

They need playmakers in the secondary desperately, and I think Dre could be the answer they need.

Their running game was almost no help to the passing game and was a big reason why Freeman regressed.

The guy who just got busted with weed to replace another knucklehead at the same position? Maybe, but the Bucs really need someone to get the fans excited about shelling out $$$ to see this team. It's not like Richardson is "just a guy." He's a pretty talented football player and a difference maker for an offense that desperately needs one.

LOL o god I see we are back into the Trent Richardson debate YAY!!!
exactly.
just dumb honestly we had this for an entire day already. Who cares let TBay make the pick obviously half of us think it should be Richardson and the other half completely disagree can we not waste an entire day discussing it or if we are going to discuss it can we just create an actual thread for it?
:confused:I thought this was a forum for football discussion. Isn't wasting a day the entire point?

If I were the Bucs, I'd rather draft a shutdown corner and sign FA Michael Bush.

Obviously it is but I am saying instead of cluttering this thread and halting the draft (even though its really EAK slowing it down lol) that if we want the discussion on if the bucs should or would take Richardson at number 5 we move it to its own thread. Then whoever wants to discuss it can and if you do not want to you can avoid it.

Well, Kiper and the two mocks at NFLDraftscout all have Richardson to the Bucs. So we're going to go that way as well to get this thing moving...

1.05 - Trent Richardson, RB, Alabama

They run the...wait for it...Tampa 2 defense. Which doesn't call for "shutdown" corners.
Who are their coaches again?Wait for it.... NO ONE! They fired the Head Coach, O Coordinator and the D Coordinator. They are clearing house!!They could very well be running a 4-3 next year or whatever scheme the new Head Coach brings in!Chances are, in fact, it WONT be the Tampa 2 unless they bring in a Dungy disciple.

Well the next two picks should be RGIII and Kendall Wright, since that's who they took before and both are still available.

Go ahead Kirby.

True enough. I retract my snobbery.
