that's a second and a 3rd...make it so.

On the clock...

13. Arizona Cardinals - BigSteelThrill

Thanks for the email Andy. Given how things have fallen with the reboot and with Coples now off the board:

1.11 Seattle Seahawks - Luke Kuechly, LB, BC

Same argument as before - will have options at DT/WR next round. Strong candidate to trade down with someone who see a player they need here (Martin/Reiff?) but no trades makes this the pick.
:hot:  Philly is cursing the majestic Seahawk!!!

Well that sucks. I had a PM from BST and have mistakenly deleted it. :bag:

I think Jonathan Martin was on the list.

give me sec....but that where I was leaning....

Kansas City Chiefs select

Riley Reiff, OT Iowa

This would be a gift for KC as he may not fall this far.....and if he is gone KC probably looks to move this pick.

Reiff has the skills to be a LT in the NFL. Quick enough to handle the speed rushers and nasty enough to run block. Led police on a drunken 20 minute foot chase in 2008 so speed may not be as much of an issue as endurance. Solid pick here.

Other considerations would be Martin or Kuechley if he fell and KC still needs to clog the middle with a Dontari Poe type of player, but not much success drafting interior lineman but still clinging to hope that Dorsey and Jackson can start performing at elite levels.

Richardson would have been nice too.

pm's on the way

I'm originally from Pittsburgh (my far and above my favorite team), and the Steelers are my team.

However, I currently live in AZ and I do listen to the AZ sports talk radio here ( :bag: ), so I kind of know what all the beat writers/sports personalities are thinking from an AZ perspective.

That being said, Arizona is probably looking at T Jonathon Martin from Stanford here, and its not even close. They are losing Levi Brown in FA and their offensive line was tremendously awful.

If for some strange reason they deviate from that plan, it would be possibly Floyd or a top rated WR, but I'm 99% sure that AZ would draft Martin or DeCastro if one of them were there in April come draft time.

Andy, do you agree?

I dont want to step on the feet of my GB BST though, so do you want to wait for him or keep this train moving?

Okay. Who do we think for Dallas? I mocked Devon Still to them as a d-end.

Or maybe someone like Melvin Ingram or Courtney Upshaw?

Upgrade the center position with Peter Konz?

I just can't see this happening. ILB isn't a huge need, and Kuechly just doesn't seem to fit the player mold they are after. I think Upshaw is a much more likely pick here.

1.10 Buffalo Bills Select Quinton Coples DE UNCThis is where TURRIBLE PASS RUSH meets TURRIBLE PICK.As everyone knows The bills pass rush is an embarrassment. Unfortunately I think all of the DE's are not that great this year but think they have to go DE as well. I was tempted to go Keuchly but I just do not think the Bills will go for him (even though I would prefer it at 10).If the Bills want a DE I have them in order Coples, Upshaw, Mercilos, Perry. I am hoping they trade down as I think they all are pretty close in my mind so I am hoping they trade down. If they trade down I am fine with it. I however do not think they will trade down and also think they will botch the pick (it is the Bills DUHHHH).
Maybe next Mock Draft we can get someone to take the Bills who knows the team and possibly likes them even just a little? I thought that was supposed to be how this goes.I don't have a problem with the pick, but the commentary shows this guy doesn't care much for the team he is drafting for.

Lol at you bro... I think it shows i care to much about this team and know to much about this team. Buffalo does it every year its just how it is ever since Mike Williams. So get off your high horse where the bills are great and realize we havent been to the playoffs this century and the draft is the main reason. Me saying what i said is true. Buffalo desperatly needs a pass rusher and i am sure they will take one regardless even if the DE does not grade there. You calling me out for not actually liking the Bills is a joke.

DeCastro hands down.Gotta keep Romo upright and healthy. DeCastro is big, reasonably agile and nasty. He helps Murray and the new Cowboys identity of running the ball. We RUN the card to the podium.

If you haven't hated your favorite team at least once in your life time, you have never experienced true fandom.

I agree....just won't happen. They will either trade down or go DE. I think Melvin Ingram would be the pick. Horrible seahawk mock pick.

Decastro was taken by the Dolphins in this mock.Someone please pick a player for Dallas. It's been since early afternoon that they've been on the clock.

With the 14th pick in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys select:

Alfonzo Denard, CB, Nebraska

Defense is a definite need for the 'Boys, especially corner and pass rusher- and with most of the rest of the interior linemen we are interested in probably being there in the middle of the second round, we decide to pull the trigger on a physical and athletic corner to begin to shore up this defense. We address a need and don't overpay for an interior lineman.

This may seem like a reach since the guy may be bat *bleep* crazy but the need at the position is dire for the Eagles:

With the 15th pick in the 2012 draft the Philadelphia Eagles select:

Vontaze Burfict, ILB, Arizona State

It's an incredibly risky pick but he's possibly the most gifted linebacker in the draft. Eagles very much wanted Kuechly here and I have a feeling that he will be their main target. Also considered Malcolm Floyd with this pick since I have a feeling DeSean Jackson maybe gone in FA unless they tag him.

I say Brockers and you give us Dennard? I would take Jenkins over Dennard.Dallas has a short window with Romo, Witten and few other players getting up there. They dont have time to be messing with a rookie CB who needs to hit the ground running.

They likely sign a FA corner and focus on generating more pressure up front.

O-line or D-line are the priorities imo.

I don't know about this one. I don't think they'll reach for a) a linebacker who b) might be insane. They still need o-line help and could look at someone like Cordy Glenn or Peter Konz.

I wouldn't be shocked if they went O-line too but I think they resign Mathis and if that's the case I think the line is pretty good. They've learned the Mudd system and at the end of the season it showed they were playing much better and we're very good at run blocking. Like I said I wanted Kuechly and was talking about trading up to get him when trades were allowed. The linebackers are horrid, they need some talent. They'll also need a stray jacket, meds, and a therapist on the sideline to keep him under control.

Via email, the Jets select

1.16 - Michael Floyd - WR, Notre Dame

No explanation given, but I like it. I think the kid is pretty good and given that the Plaxico experiment failed and Santonio Holmes could melt down at any minute makes this a decent pick.

I like it too. Not a cookie cutter pick here. Bold and gives their offense some life.

I like it. Might also serve as a message to Holmes. I think the Jets are kind of a hard team to predict right here as they could really go in a couple different directions.
