Shark Pool Board Mock Draft - Version 1 (1 Viewer)

okay...this gets a little tough as a KC fan....I hate Cassel....and actually hope they resign Orton and cut Cassel....believe it or not Tannehill would have been considered here had he made it....could live with Orton/Tannehill for a year before passing the torch...

would like to add a safety.....and while I see some are suggesting TE, I just don't see that as a huge issue for KC right now....their TE's were semi productive last year and I think they can resign/address that position through free agency....plus Tony Moeki is coming back...

my main concern is what if Charles doesn't come back like the Charles of old....there is NOTHING....NOTHING on the roster right now.....Battle, meh....TJ, love ya but probably time to go....MCluster, great scat back type who needs to get the ball, but we need to shore up this backfield....

Kansas City Chiefs select....

Lamar Miller RB Miami

size, speed, fresh legs, playmaker and center of offense.....can get tough yards but also elusive...

considered some other guys here, but didn't want just a pounder, nor another scat back type....Miller more of a combo and helps shore up the uncertainity at RB.....

Im here....give a couple to catch up....

crap....missed it....KC takes Polk then.....

Chiefs desperately need somebody besides Tamba Hali to rush the passer.

Without looking, I think they were bottom3 in sacks in 2011.

I disagree with the RB vote. McCluster, Battle, and a healthy Charles is sufficient.

Not necessarily true. Justin Houston was probably the team's best rookie and showed some upside when it comes to rushing the passer.

The Buffalo Bills select Dwayne Allen TE out of CLEMSONI will not give a big run down because I do not want to get called out for not knowing my team and hating my team again by morons. I was between all 3 TEs at the top whom I like all of them quite a bit. I went with Allen as he seems to be very athletic and fits the bill as a former basketball player. I had trouble debating between Fleener, Charles, and Allen but ended up going with Allen. Scott Chandler is a FA and I think they may not resign him and even if they do they need a better pass catching more atheletic TE to spread the field a little bit.
Being a Bills fan dont you feel like this is very unlikely for them to draft a TE at this spot? In this offence I dont think they value TEs. I think Chandler will be cheap and exactly what they are looking for. They said the same thing in the draft the last couple of years about the Bills needing a TE and I agreed but they passed. This year they actually got decent production out of a TE, so if they didnt when they really struggled at the position I just dont really see it happening now. But then again maybe they are taking notes from NE and realizing the mismatch you can create with good TEs and are changing their philosophy. Im just going off of past drafts I guess...
I think Chandler will want more than he is worth based on his TD totals from this year. I think they would use the TE more if they had a servicable one. I am sorry but I do not view Chandler as that really. He was good in the RZ but that was about it. They need more receiving targets hence why I went with Allen. Obviously you could be right with that assessment but think about it they tried to address it with Nelson and that didnt work. Now that that project is over I think they may try with another young TE.

Polk before David Wilson?
Polk before Doug Martin? (After reading the senior bowl observations so far)
KC will not take Wilson because he fits the Charles Mold, so they would want a Polk or Martin to fill the Thomas/Battle Role.
this is my thought as well...McCluster is even closer to Charles then he is to somebody who can grind it out....Polk/MartinI actually agree a little with the thought about getting a pass rusher....as this has become a QB league and a "getting to the QB" league....and hope KC takes a look at that....actually a big Michael Bush fan and would like to see KC add him to go with Charles, because I also think Bush could carry the load if he needed too.....but that will also be the thought of other teams and make the price too high as many teams will want him this year...

Wilson is listed at 205 right now which means he'll add at least another 5 when he turns pro, which puts him more at the Thomas Jones weight than it does Charles'.

I read some where that Miller and Wilson fit the Charles/McCoy/CJ type roles, just can't remember where.

We waited a bit for the last Cowboys pick. I don't think I want to do it again. I have a good pick for the 'Boys, should I just do it?

I don't get why you're always in such a hurry.
Because running something like this is like herding cats. If it drags on and on people just wander away from it.
I understand that but part of the fun of it is different opinions. Not just 4 or 5 guys creating a mock draft together.

I agree but the fun is taken out of it when we sit and stare at each other for three hours in the middle of the day wondering if a guy will show up.
Says you. Those are some of the greatest times of my life! :nerd:
Well...I wouldn't want to steal that from you.

It'd be fun if the real draft worked this way :) Of course then the Vikings would never actually get to pick their own players...

Are you still going on about this? What, are you 12? Grow up. I simply didn't like your reason for making the pick. You said something along the lines of "I don't like this pick but the Bills are idiots and are gonna screw it up anyways so I'll just go with him". That's not good reasoning.

Especially not a good reason to call someone a moron and act like a fool about it. Go pop some pimples and don't forget to do your homework tonight before going night night.
