***Shark Pool Home League UNO*** - ADPeeing Down the Highway! (15 Viewers)

We are planning to launch a second FBG Home League Shark Pool league, but am just making sure we get everyone back in this one before starting the second. Will plan to launch it next week assuming everyone responds here. @Instinctive check your forum DMs
I'm interested if you start another league
Sorry dude.

They’re going to open up a League Duo (or whatever it’s called) now that this one refilled. Make sure you get in that one!

The FBG moderator guy PM'd me asking if we should combine Sharkpool threads between league UNO and league dosey DOS, and I told him I thought it'd be better (less chaotic) if each league has their own thread. Seeing Joey's posts in the league DOS thread makes me think that should have been for all of you to decide, not just me, though obviously, my vote would be two threads. Anyway, full disclosure/transparency, in case you guys think otherwise.

Agreed. Keep em separate. And @fbghomeleagues, please don’t make @LawFitz feel all high and mighty with these PMs. We have to play with him.

I think we combine them. We have a handful of “lurkers” in this thread who aren’t in league Uno but contribute and post and follow along, and I think that’s great. I think it would be even MORE fun to have double the trouble to discuss wins, losses, draft results, strategies, etc.

But I am only 1 vote (maybe I should count for two, though, since I am THE DEFENDING CHAMPION OF LEAGUE UNO!!!!) ;)

Ps. And @FarFromHome had the fun idea of a setup where the top 6 stay in league Uno and the bottom 6 go over to league duo, and their top 6 “are promoted” to league Uno and bottom 6 remain in duo. If we all like that idea (sounds fun and like nothing I’ve done before) then all the more reason to combine threads.

That said….i realize all this complicates a simple 12 team league we all started, so I’ll stand down and see what everyone else thinks.

I congratulate you in advance on making the top 6. Ha ha

League number 3 is live - https://forums.footballguys.com/thr...gue-3-fbg-home-leagues-12-more-needed.816741/

Our team will definitely talk about ways to mix up the leagues, and there are for sure ways to do pro/rel with three leagues, but we want to give people a chance to join #3. Easier to fill and then make a decision than potentially add #3 next year while the decision is already made and then have to start it up from scratch. Go give #3 some love and tag anyone else who might be interested!

Too late now with the draft order assigned, but next year, we should consider either auction format or 3rd round reversal. Tail end of a 12-team snake is filled with poo.

Got Saquon at 12 last year.

Made the playoffs.

Outlier!

I'm just bitter about drawing pick 10 two years in a row. I'm sure if we switch next year to 3RR, I'll draw a top half pick.

In my main league, we have 3RR and every year the guys who draw the top picks complain about that rule. But then I simply ask them if they'd trade their pick for a later pick in the round 1, and each and every time they say no. Proves that even with 3RR, the teams at the top of the draft have more favorable positioning - at least in terms of perception before picks are made.

Love the one redraft auction league I’m in. Only problem with that is that an auction draft needs to be live (imho). I think part of the allure of this league setup is the slow draft, so we don’t have to coordinate any cross-country schedules and interfere with our likely other league drafts and other life commitments

I'm torn on the separate threads question. I don't know how many leagues we will end up with but if there's more than a few that's too many threads clogging up the front page.

Cross chat might also be interesting, as in comparing each league's top teams, etc.

I would absolutely love to do auction

I'm not gonna lie. I've never actually done an auction draft. I understand then though. Looks fun.
Never done one either. My understanding of them is vague. .
Same basic concept really as our free agent pick ups. You wanna bid 1 dollar over the next highest bid and yell in the air if you bid high and nobody bids. Ha ha. My first auction style waiver pick up league was just 2 years ago. Now I wouldn't want to do it any other way.
