Shuke's 1400 favorite songs by 1400 different artists. (2 Viewers)

No ####?  I was at that show also.  Didn't they have some technical problems with Steve that night?  I remember my buddy tripping hard telling me how he could visually see the music drifting above the crowd during Drums/Space.   It was a damn good night.   :)
Awesome.  I can't remember if this is the show where Mickey had that ####ing train horn during drums that about made me crap my pants.  Going to check...

Honestly, I've seen Steve in concert bout 6-7 times - once right outside of Cinci, I believe - in an outdoor theater - grass sittin' & smokin'.
Probably Riverbend.  What year?
Best I can recall it was early to mid 90s - but, I do remember now that it was Riverbend...thnx.  Great show. We slept in the back of my truck in the parking lot/field afterwards.

I saw the Dead in 92 as well '93. Do you remember my Ronald MacDonald story?
I do not.
Yeah - I figured you wouldn't, it was just a brief exchange a few years ago in the "What ya listenin to now" thread - I think - I just posted a brief snippet.

I'll go for a medium snippet this time.

1st - I did see the Dead in Louisville in 93 - but that was indoors, thus, my Ronald story is from the 1990 show in Louisville - outdoors - in a stadium.

2nd - my post will not be prefaced as you describe here:

I love how every post is prefaced with "I took acid before going into the show".

Preface: I took mushrooms before going to the show...

...and is often the case, they took longer than expected to come on. By the 2nd or 3rd song (8 hours into the show) - I finally began to feel the tingle & tummy aches. I ran towards the bathroom, but it was a long way away, thus, I ended up puking on one of the drum circle groups that populated every corner of the backside.

They loved it - asked me ta hit the deer hide tom-tom once or twice. Since my stomach was now feelin' better, I banged a few and then gave the bone stick back to the major.

Now, problem - I had lost my buddies when I scrambled towards the lavatory, and did not know where to find them, as we were wandering around. I expected them to follow - but - you know how that is...

So, I had to find them - I thought - I think. So, I went to the highest spot of the stadium - at the very back - where I could see the whole crowd - all the thousands of em. Brilliant. I could easily pick out my friends in that size a crowd - hah!

Well - stupid as the plan was, I were rewarded. Ya see, I had gotten there just at the perfect moment of sundown. The light was streaming down on the crowd - casting that beautiful orange/red glow onto everthing. I was just beginning to feel the full effect of the fungus - and EVERYBODY was dancin'. You know the scene.

The combination of the light, the shrooms, the dancin' & my natural disposition - well - it created an angelic vision.

EVERY. SINGLE. MF'ER. in the place - was - not looked like - WAS - Ronald F'N MacDonald!

I don't know how much you like cheeburgers, but they were rain'n down like bird #### after ya washed your car...unbelievable!

But - I believed - by choice - it was glorious.

Evertime I pass a Mickie D's now, I have minor flashbacks.

Great times!

Oh, I did eventually find my pals. They seemed to have missed the clowns. Their loss.

I have to ask, is it pronounced "Shook" or "Sh- Ewww_ k? or  "Shoe-k?" or " Shuck"?

Because I have heard all 4 at this point

738. Bad Company - Bad Company

I remember buying this tape at a yard sale when I was a kid.  I didn't know a thing about them, so I have no idea why I bought it.  I was pretty young at the time, but this ended up being one my favorites I listened to on my paper route.

Today, they're not a big favorite of mine, but I still really like this song.
