Slide guitar is soooo sweet to me, and Bonnie can slide it with the best.
Horns make a good accompaniment too.

I said I wasn't complaining about placement so I won't.
My badI said I wasn't complaining about placement so I won't.
But Bonnie Raitt, both in the 700s and her precious name misspelled??
Please correct her name in your spreadsheet.
GOOD DAY SIR!!!
I was just listening to this one 15 minutes ago
Really like this - new to me - saved.
No one does - not even Frank - but I love it...695. Frank Zappa - Cosmik Debris
Also considered:
Peaches En Regalia
Joe's Garage
I freely admit, I don't really "get" Zappa.
I’m with you - love Hot Rats, but not much beyond. If I had to pick one fave, it would be “Son of Mr. Green Genes”.695. Frank Zappa - Cosmik Debris

Nice. Everyone knows “A Million Miles Away” but this one is really good, too. And also on the Valley Girl soundtrack.
You’ve got to really work as the listener to get FZ. And I could imagine upwards of 100 different songs that one could claim as his best, his work was so varied and unusual. I prefer One Size Fits All myself (the entire album) but if I post tomorrow, I might go with Zoot Allures or Them or Us. Two overused superlatives fit Frank more than anyone else in my book: unique and genius.695. Frank Zappa - Cosmik Debris

Outstanding.
nice ...love this song and had forgotten about it.
Honestly, this is close to the very 1st song I remember in my life. I posted this elsewhere - in CIA's blues thread I believe...
seriously sig worthyShuke got a three day timeout on Easter weekend. You know who else got a 3 day timeout on Easter weekend? Jesus.

I don't have KristaMemoryCells.good, but oldy but goody.
Someone whined about getting a three-day timeout. The poster who is now Good Posting Judge (IIRC) posted something like "you know who else got a three-day timeout? Jesus" and then something about how instead of whining about it he just flew right up to heaven. Something like that. Great callback by Nipsey.I don't have KristaMemoryCells.
whoa. no way could I remember who said it ...I just remembered that I saw it. Quite a few years ago too.Someone whined about getting a three-day timeout. This sounds very Dead-ish to me. Kinda like Friend of The Devil.
I was listening to Conan's podcast this week and he astutely pointed out BTO having one of the worst lyrics of all time. In "Taking Care of Business", a hard driving rock tune about hustling and making money, they claim
Get a second-hand guitar, chances are you'll go far

Dude....you may be dead to me.
Was their "Always Something There To Remind Me" a close second?nice ...love this song and had forgotten about it.
Just added to my 80s spotify mix.
So goodWas their "Always Something There To Remind Me" a close second?
One of those songs that seem to be the definition of early MTV.
For including this? Sorry, I looked for a replacement last night but couldn’t justify a change.Hadda rhyme "mellow" with somethin', I guess.

I'm not sure there's enough shoe bourbon in Ohio to cleanse the rusted stank of that root. Thanks for getting THAT song stuck in my headJust curious, but in honor of @Otis, where would you rank the song, "Rockin' Robin"?
