Black ice skeptic?Really?
Doesn't exist.
that's what it wants you to think.
It's just regular ice.
regular ice, like you find in the freezer?
Yes, as in, it's frozen water.
there was time when I was skeptical of your skepticism on this, but I've come around to the point where I now berate anyone who mentions this farce.

Proof of Black ice.

But on the master of puppets tour, tragedy struck, And Metallica's tour bus slid on the infamous "black ice" and rolled. And killed Their bassist. cliff Burton.

He's not denying the death of Cliff Burton. He's saying black ice is a misnomer. It's just ice.
Yes, Im on board now.So if you were able to break a chunk of that ice and lift it up off the ground, you would see its not really black.

I think so. I don't want to talk out of turn here, though.

is it really a point of view or a term that is used to describe a this sheet of ice that can't been seen on highways and roadways? I don't think anyone ever thought the ice was actually "BLACK."

Have you ever been in a "white out" during a snow storm? Was every single square inch of your visibility completely white?

:rolleyes:Just trying to keep Shuke from going Postal on a Friday.

But it looks wet... and black.
Yes, ice can look wet at times, especially when it's wet. Sometimes it may look black if it's covering blacktop.

Now we're getting somewhere.

I just don't understand why "black ice" needs to be differentiated from regular ice that's just as dangerous. I don't buy this "you can't see it" bull####.

At which point it would cease to be black ice, and revert to just normal ice.
