Silicon Valley - New Mike Judge 8-Part HBO Series (1 Viewer)

I'm not so sure it was Dinesh's backup. Gilfoyle loves to screw with him, so he might have destroyed the hard drive as a big Eff you to Dinesh. Dinesh seemed pretty hopeful that Gilfoyle had swapped hard drives when they met outside the house.
They said as much during the show, it was his backup drive and had company files on it. They were only worried about destroying it.

Right now, for me...the three funniest things on television are, "Silicon Valley", "Rick & Morty" and "The Detour".

Every episode has been gold for me.
   First episode was piss your pants hilarious. Watched 3 others so far and while not as great as the first, have all had several laugh out loud moments. Very, very, highly recommend.

In a quasi spoiler, I think I might have literally killed my kids for that highway sign prank!!

We did that prank as a kid

Finale was gold

Jared's line about his "stuffed animal" was one of the funniest things I've ever heard. I had to pause the show because I was lol'ing too hard.

Best episode of the season, which is so far the weakest of the 3.

BTW, everybody knows to use spaces instead of tabs.  If you want to use tabs, set your editor so that a tab creates 4 spaces.  Richards argument about file size in a source file is silly, nobody would argue that.

TEAM SPACES 4 LYFE

Would have been nice if they'd kept the girl Richard met around for a while.  She seemed to fit well and would have been nice to see a new dynamic.

Great episode.  Was Monica wearing the "bad news outfit" from season 2 when she went to the house to initially break the news that she hated Pied Piper?

I don't know, but she looked really good last night when she was talking about how she didn't like the beta.

Forget about file sizes with spaces vs. tabs.  Speed is what I care about.  I'd much rather only hit the tab once instead of whacking away at the spacebar.  Not only do you look like a dolt, but you sound like one too.

You probably don't use hotkeys either, huh?

so did Erlich simply sell his shares, or something worse? something that may somehow screw over Richard and/or the PP team?
I would say he had to have sold them in order to get the money.  Looks like he's sold them to Laurie, which means that she gets yet another seat on the board of PP.  I believe she had 2 before, Monica was 1, Richard 1, and Erlich 1.  This meant that, in board meetings, if Richard and Erlich voted together against Laurie, then Monica was the decisive vote and she'd sometimes side with Richard.

Now Laurie will have 3 board seats, so she'll be able to make decisions for PP, and no one will be able to stop her.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

— by Erlich Bachmann

Pied Piper Taps Erlich Bachmann for SVP Public Relations/Chief Evangelism Officer Position

Palo Alto, California—To manage its increasing media profile caused by its rapid growth, pioneering compression firm Pied Piper today announced it has hired veteran Valley entrepreneur Erlich Bachmann to head up its public relations department, according to Erlich Bachmann, Pied Piper’s SVP Public Relations.

Bachmann, in his 30s but appearing years younger, launched Pied Piper at his Palo Alto incubator and was its first investor. He is no longer an investor; this might conceivably constitute a conflict of interest. No causality should be inferred from the proximity of the previous sentence’s two clauses.

“In the age of digital media, it is more important than ever to have a steady hand at the tiller when navigating the oft-treacherous waters of the press and public opinion,” said Bachmann, rolling emails al fresco at his Newell Street hub of operations.. “As the compression space becomes more frothy, I intend to make sure everyone remembers who whipped up that froth: us.”

Successfully luring Mr. Bachmann into Pied Piper’s employ, given the great demand for his services, is widely regarded as a coup, a second feather in Pied Piper’s cap, and a sign that the company’s well-documented stumbles are a thing of the past.

Erlich Bachmann graduated from Hampshire College with honor.

i hadn't seen this show until about a month ago. It's now probably my favorite thing on TV.
