You have to walk the line. It can't just be them losing all of the time. I feel like that's why Hello Ladies didn't last. Great show, but he never got a win. SV needs small wins with plenty of hardships. They can then end the series with a huge win. But if they never win anything, that could hurt the show.Definitely. I wasn't saying that I don't understand the reasons the story is told the way it is, just that it was nice to see them get a win.I think a show about a great idea/algorithm that faces a lot of obstacles along the way is the only real viable show. A crummy idea that hit some resistance would be pretty dull and would last...an episode? A great idea that faces no resistance is basically Northern California Entourage with less nudity.i love how he is now known as "bag head". makes me laugh every timeAnd Hooli might be going down? Maybe bighead returns to PP.Maelstrom said:I think another thing about the most recent episode is it's the first one in a little while where things start to look positive for PP (if not for Dinesh). They'd been on a real losing streak (I count Russ as 'loosing') through the first half of the season, everytime it seems like something was going to go their way, it didn't. So it's nice to see them at least seem to come out even or even on top for once (although I don't expect that to last).
and i saw an interview with Mike Judge where he said they had to have them losing because if they kept winning it wasn't funny. i think he said they had to rewrite most of season 2 because of it. successful people just were not funny or relateable
Even Entourage had some backsliding. Oh yeah, I'd literally rather watch half an hour of Dinesh and Gilfoyle coding -- without speaking -- than Entourage.

I agree with this. The next episode where they compete with EndFrame is going to be interesting. Richard is a character I root for, but it seems implausible for them to win the agreement. If they win $15m, the whole dynamic of the show changes. I also don't want EndFrame to win because its another slap in the face to PP. Perhaps a third company comes in and wins the agreement. You have to walk the line. It can't just be them losing all of the time. I feel like that's why Hello Ladies didn't last. Unfortunately, even Mike Judge is talented, I doubt the storyline was thought out that far ahead. It was even noted they had to rewrite Season 2 for them to continue to be an underdog story. Could distract from the humor if they keep losing all through Season 3 as well.

I did like the first seasonish... where they're all acclimating, pitting LA vs East Coast.

Just in case you haven't seen the Hello Ladies finale movie, I won't spoil it by revealing plot details. But, I thought it was a nice setup to the show's next season (if there was going to be one) because Stuart finally got a win.You have to walk the line. It can't just be them losing all of the time. I see no reason to think Monica is oddly attractive. She's hot. Now the female engineer they hired, Carla, that's another story.Monica is hot as ####. Possibly in the "Women you find oddly attractive" category. Still need more research.

lol For better or worse...So if endframe would have deleted your files with their compression, you wouldn't have lost half of it

type of reaction. I wonder how long they can sustain failing all the time, as I mentioned before it can't continue to be predictable that they will for the series to survive.

Best line in the episode imho."This is Palo Alto, we don't enjoy all the freedoms that you have in China."
