Simple things that make you happy... (4 Viewers)

Slicing an avocado in half, twisting of the top half, then using the knife to slam down into the pit, and twisting it out.

First shower after a long camping trip.

First real meal after a long camping trip.

Commute home from work on a sunny summer Friday.

Sticking an iron shot on the green.

Occasionally I will remember how amazing it is to look at the stars

Sitting in my lawn when its quiet and a strong breeze is blowing, love watching the leaves in the trees dance as the wind swirls. The feel of it and the sound of it is good for my soul.

Ice cold draft beer after a round of golf.

Ice cold draft beer after cutting the lawn.

Ice cold draft beer after running 5 miles.

Rolling on the floor with my kids

BJ and steak day

Cleaning my car

BJ and steak day

Telling my SIL to gtfo

When you have a beat up old car where the CD player only works once in a blue moon and that time is a Friday after work when its sunny and 75.

I like it when the people around me on my commute aren't selfish, lazy, inconsiderate jag-offs. that makes me happy.

A good cup of coffee in the morning.

Sitting by my firepit with a full glass of 40 Creek and one of my favorite cigars.

On my boat fishing in the late afternoon on a calm lake (with a 6 pack and a couple of cigars). Alone is fine but better when my son joins me.

Finding a little time on weekend morning to noodle around on the guitar.. while enjoying a cup of coffee.

the first crisp, autumn night.

I figured out long ago that my first experience with being free at night was tied to halloween, so there's something about that crisp, fall night-time air that makes me feel young and free.

Nice lawn

Having no schedule for a day

Camping, sleeping outdoors

A nice fire

Driving through the middle of nowhere
Good list.

I'd add the first meal after a hiking trip someone already said.

A drink on a Friday night on a patio somewhere.

A cup of coffee on Sunday morning.

Finally pulling out of the driveway to start a vacation/road trip. Just feels like I'm leaving a lot of stress behind.

Pushing off from shore on a canoe/kayak trip.

Sunday afternoon naps. Happen too infrequently lately.

I'm the first one up on the weekends. I like to open up the door to the backyard and turn on the fountain. So, sitting there with the news or something on (but not focusing on it), reading something, drinking coffee and then, eventually, I hear one of my dog's tags jingle in the bedroom. This means he's up and he'll shake a few times, then bound into the living room and jump on my lap. Good Morning!

Music festival, sitting in a beach chair, warm outside, but with a breeze - kick off the flip flops, cracking open a cold beer and just enjoying the music

I'm with RN with the cup of coffee and a bagel, but I'll add in a recliner and a magazine to round out the perfect AM.

Cooking something on the grill on a nice evening with a beer in one hand and a spatula in the other.

Mowing my lawn and having time to get really detailed with the lines.

Sitting alone in my kayak fishing...whether I catch anything or not.

Playing in a creek, flipping over rocks to see what's under them.

Staring at a fire
