Sleeper RB to keep an eye on for dynasty leagues! (1 Viewer)

Jalen Parmele is the guy to keep tabs on.

First, I have to give a shout out to "double trouble" as when I did a search on this player, Double-trouble was the only one I found who mentioned him in old searches (I found a post from 7/26).

Anyway, back to Parmele...

Dolphins 6th round rookie RB out of Toledo. 5'11'' and 220lbs listed.

Not sure of his speed

I realize that having 2 historical studs in Ricky and Ronnie B. really leverages the chance that at least 1 of those 2 will be starting material for Miami (assume at least one of them is too old, too stoned, legs not the same since injury, flake out and quit on team midseason etc.).

I'm just saying that Parmele is a nice sleeper to watch this preseason and early regular season (if he makes squad). Not many people are keeping tabs on 6th round rookies, but I think this guy should be noted.

There was some internet article that I read a day or so ago (sorry I can't recall the site, it wasn't any links off of Footballguys though) where the writer of the web article used some wacky formulations/calculations on rookie RB's and Parmele was ranked as the 6th best of the rookie RBs (for whatever thats worth). Anyway it sparked my awareness and thought I'd share info.

Him and that Lex Hilliard guy will battle it out for 3rd string, the winner, IMO could be 2nd string since I do not think Ricky Williams will hold onto the #2 job.

!!!!! Williams is the best RB in Phins camp , did you see his runs in the first pre-season game he is back with a vengeance .The only way Williams is not second or even first string is if he gets hurt or traded . Beside there are absolutely zero chance for the other two pedestrian RB's .

If you believe in the Speed Score measure that FO came up with, Parmele's 112.21 is ahead of Felix Jones, Matt Forte, Ray Rice and Jamaal Charles.

I recently picked him up in a fourteen teamer. With Brown coming off an ACL, and Ricky Williams being, well, Ricky Williams, Parmalee has some value. He could very easily not see any time this year, but with the questions surrounding the backs in front of him, he's worth a shot.

Parmale had 4 carries for 18yds in the 1st preseason game. Not sure of the carries/situations he was in but that is respectable 4.5 ypc. That's pretty much all I'm saying at this point. Dynasty owners 12+owner teams...he's worth keeping on the radar or if you can keep deep rosters, pick him up and cut him later if you need to and he doesn't pan out.

That info. looks familiar. That might have been what I was reading. I don't know what FO is or Speed Core measure, but the rating and other RB's he's ranked ahead of look pretty familiar.

Well thank you for the mention. I like him as a sleeper b/c of the above "With Brown coming off an ACL, and Ricky Williams being, well, Ricky Williams" and he is a Parcell kind of running back. Wiht Ricky being a FA next year and Ronnie hasn't player a full season since coming into the league, he is looking really nice for later this year and next year!

2 rookies at least on the OL, Carey who stinks at RT, Smiley was so so in SF, Satele is the best OL they ahve at the moment.

Go after 3rd string guys on teams where they can do something if they get tossed out there...like Booker in Philly, Chris Perry in Cinci, give me someone with some talent around them.

He's talking dynasty. Rookies won't be rookies forever.

Both Willie Parker and Brian Westbrook were both picked up as free agents a few weeks AFTER our the 4 round rookie draft, so there are always the "under the radar" RB's who come out of nowhere. I just think this guy has potential to be one of those type of guys. PS: He had another good outting at RB this weekend for Miami, even better than the 1st preseason game...check the stat line.
