SNF ***Green Bay at Philadelphia*** (-6.5, 46) (1 Viewer)

Guy that rosters Sanders just feeling slayed by Gainwell as the short yardage back when it matters tonight. First goal line usage and then to close it out. Probably because Sanders didn't turn it upfield for hard yards and went out of bounds his last carry.

Maybe I'm reading too much into it.

I saw the cloxk still running, too. Since when is that the case? and how did I not lnow that?
It's actually shocking how many NFL fans don't know this rule lol.

Always been like that. Clock only stops when a player goes out of bounds in the final 2 minutes of first half, and final 5 minutes of 2nd half. Outside of those times, it doesn;t matter if a player goes out or not.

That's faith in your kicker. But I remember Elliott when he played for Memphis. (He played for Memphis, right? He was the guy bombing fifty+ yarders his last bowl game, IIRC.)

Just to be nit picky, not always, but the rule did change a very long time ago. in the 90's maybe? Too lazy to look it up.

this speacial teams, specifically kick off team, really needs to figure something out. they will cost the Eagles a game before the season ends if this keeps up

You're right, looks like it changed in 2008. So 15 years ago, but a lot of even smart fans don't seem to know it.

Wow, that's more recent than I realized, which is why I guess a lot of people still don't know about the change.
