Snowmageddon 2022 (1 Viewer)

Snow coming down about 2-2.5 inches an hour by the Brooklyn Bridge.

Very fast moving storm, but dumping aggressively- if this was an all day storm, we'd be looking at 18-24 easy... if it hangs around until 2pm, could see 9-10 inches.

Working from home. Debating taking my older son to Central Park.

just back from (late) morning run - WHY???  :(

gotdamn, it's heavy and wet - ankle deep in this ####, but it seems to be a snow that will dissipate quickly, and melt with urgency

btw - it's a ####### ghost town out there, save for the DoS chaps ?

Pulled into the parking lot at work this morning. Empty. Checked my phone for emails and saw that work was cancelled for the day.

Looks like it's snowing pretty good now. Glad I'm not out on the road now.

:sadtrombone:

The 8 inches we were supposed to get ended up being 3.

Once in HS, in a town (near Boston) that tended to not call snow days, after walking to my bus stop in several inches, I had a policeman pull over to tell me they had canceled school. Gee, thanks! At that point I would rather go to school than walk back in the snow! This was in the 80s, so there were no cell phones or anything like that.

headin' back to the City right now, slammed a few   :banned: at that bar in the terminal in Hoboken - freakin' desolate down there, but that mofo be open - be advised if you are traversing same -

Been snowing bad since I woke up, probably already dumped 12-15 with no end in sight. Supposed to keep on until tomorrow morning. May be buried by then.

Some snow heading up (live in NJ). Sounds like a little taste tonight into tomorrow and then possibly a larger system Monday night into Wednesday morning, too early to call that one though.

yeah, gonna eff up the morning commute big time up here - temps gonna be dropping back to the teens - Winter's last stand  ?

I hope they're exaggerating....

MAJOR SNOWSTORM THREAT REMAINS HIGH TUE. 3/14 - WED. 3/15 ....

MASSIVE threat remains for a significant (if not historic) snowstorm from D.C. through Boston early next week.

today is nothing but heavy white raindrops disguised as snow ... slushy and wet as ####, nuttin' sticking.

soaked socks are a #####

Wish we could get some of the rain/snow. We are 50% below average for the year so far and the fires are already starting. While enjoying all the 60 and 70 degree days in February and March we need some moisture.

That's what they're projecting for my area. Seeing 100% chance for snow from late Monday night-early Wednesday.  Early accumulation forecasts have this in the 12-20 inch range.

We'll see...
Just checked for our area. Mon night 5-8, Tuesday 8-12.

Where are you and what's the latest, in Philly area here.

QPF is 2+ so if it all falls as snow...

But we'll miss all the "fun" down here (NC/VA line). And I don't mind a bit.

About 90 miles west of DC here, and they don't have a friggin' clue yet on totals. I've seen 2" up to 12". We are far enough inland that even a 20 mile shift in where a Nor'Easter sets up can go from boom to bust. Looks like PA/eastern NY/New England is getting pounded no matter what.

I'm fascinated with how I-95 always seems to be that dividing line for us up here in DE.

ABC says 8-12"

weather underground says we are getting that tomorrow night and then another 6" on Tuesday.

I think the Bays (Chesapeake & Delaware) play a huge role in how these kinds of storms affect the related areas. What part of DE are you in?

They built it there for a reason
