Interesting Tom Pelissero tweet:

Second-year QB passer ratings: Dalton (86.7), Ponder (82.0), Gabbert (78.4), Newton (77.7). Life's not easy when defenses get a book on you.
Is this a true statement? Is this a trend or a coincidence? The rookie QBs are currently getting a whole lotta love. Should we expect them to struggle in their second year as well?

They are who we thought they were. Ponder? Gabbert? Seriously? Daulton is performing the same so that leaves Newton, who is experiencing a downturn. Will that affect Luck? Probably not. Griffin has already slowed down.

Fair Enough. But I believe Griffin slow down can be attributed to key injuries. Will defenses adapt after getting the book on Wilson, Tanehill and Weeden?

#1. YES#2. See #1

#3. No, not necessarily if you're a good QB you'll recognize what the D is doing and you'll adjust.
