I own Rivers and Cutler in a PPR and tried to trade Rivers after Week 2 and was turned down for Holmes straightup and also Jacobs straightup. I literally can't find any takers.
So you couldnt find any takers? Now a week later it is being laughed at for offering that trade here? Some of you are all set with your jokes, perhaps you all play in the most cut throat football obsessed pro fantasy leagues in the world, but chances are if you phoned up every guy in your league right now as asked who was leading the league in QB scoring only half would say Rivers, perhaps not even the guy with Rivers. And I did mean well, and I still believe you can get him for a good deal right now, and I think he is going to finish near the top of the league when all the chips are counted. But its cool to make the jokes, so feel free.
Not being able to find takers for Rivers is a perfect example of the inherent flaws with leagues that start only 1 QB.How can the most important player on the field (QB) not have value?btw GPN the fact that he couldn't find takers for Rivers is an indication of the low value for QBs in that league. I am sure Drew Brees or Tony Romo owners in that league would have trouble finding a trade partner too.
fair enough. My point was despite Rivers top scoring status, people pretty much still think it is a fluke/dont want him/dont even know it, etc, his status is not up there with Manning, Brees, Mcnabb, Romo, Cutler, etc and you could get him cheaper then those guys. Most people here believe he is a sell high and not on those guys level, I disagree and think he is, and can still be had for a reasonable offer. But whatever, just trying to point out he is a good deal. As for having trouble dealing Romo, I doubt it, he could likely deal Romo for a much much better player then Rivers.
