I own Rivers and Cutler in a PPR and tried to trade Rivers after Week 2 and was turned down for Holmes straightup and also Jacobs straightup. I literally can't find any takers.
So you couldnt find any takers? Now a week later it is being laughed at for offering that trade here? Some of you are all set with your jokes, perhaps you all play in the most cut throat football obsessed pro fantasy leagues in the world, but chances are if you phoned up every guy in your league right now as asked who was leading the league in QB scoring only half would say Rivers, perhaps not even the guy with Rivers. And I did mean well, and I still believe you can get him for a good deal right now, and I think he is going to finish near the top of the league when all the chips are counted. But its cool to make the jokes, so feel free.
Not being able to find takers for Rivers is a perfect example of the inherent flaws with leagues that start only 1 QB.How can the most important player on the field (QB) not have value?btw GPN the fact that he couldn't find takers for Rivers is an indication of the low value for QBs in that league. I am sure Drew Brees or Tony Romo owners in that league would have trouble finding a trade partner too.

Any more Hot tips??? JFWU
If you subscribe to this website and play in a 10 man league, this website has not recommended you start Rivers yet this year. Enjoy.

fair enough. My point was despite Rivers top scoring status, people pretty much still think it is a fluke/dont want him/dont even know it, etc, his status is not up there with Manning, Brees, Mcnabb, Romo, Cutler, etc and you could get him cheaper then those guys. Most people here believe he is a sell high and not on those guys level, I disagree and think he is, and can still be had for a reasonable offer. But whatever, just trying to point out he is a good deal. As for having trouble dealing Romo, I doubt it, he could likely deal Romo for a much much better player then Rivers.

I hear you. Although I don't see how Rivers could be viewed as any more of a fluke than Cutler. Then again I live in San Diego so maybe I don't see feel the national perception on the guy.

I went ahead and traded him now that this clown let the secret out. No way do I want to have to deal with a bunch of trade offers.
You may think the thread is lame, or useless, or whatever, but you need not have to call me a clown. Let me ask you this "Mr know It All", if you did have Rivers on your team and Romo/Brees/Cutler who exactly would you trade Rivers for? What would be an acceptable offer? You certainly wouldnt demand something crazy would you?

I can't speak for "Mr know It All" but I would demand something crazy. We're talking about the #1 QB in all of fantasy football. I'd expect a stud in return. Only a big dummy would let go of him cheaply now, that's why this thread is so silly. :(

Funny you ask because I had Romo and Rivers in a 12 team redraft. I am perfectly content with Romo as my qb1...so I parlayed Rivers into Larry Fitzgerald, JT O'Sullivan and Jared Allen. I had other offers, but that is what fit my needs.Needless to say, he is not a big secret and I could have played hard ball for more.

Sorry, didn't mean to offend you, I was not referring to you as a clown is a bad way. I like clowns. They make me happy. The tenor of my post was that you let out my secret and now I have to get rid of my backup qb to avoid needless hassle from leaguemates. Unlike clowns, this would not make me happy. So my apologies for having offended you or if you in any way feel that I was making a comparative between yourself and my greasepainted brethren.Peace out.

Are these offers on the table or are you just throwing things out there?

The most underated QB in the league Philip Rivers. In my two big money leagues, where the QB scoring is not the same, he ranks #1 in both of them, so I assume he is either #1 in your league or a very close. Still if you ask around people are doubting him, or just overlook him becuase of personal bias or whatever the reason. You still might be able to pick him up for a reasonable offer.Norv has the passing game scorching, the schedule is pretty cake, Probowl tackle Marcus McNeil returned from injury last night and looked good, Gates said last night after the game he feels the best he has since the injury, Vjax is actually catching the ball, he has a Fullback who can make big plays in the passing game, and in the next 2 weeks his probowl center will return. I see no reason why he can't finish near the top of the league this season, especially if the Charger Defense continues to play hot/cold.
You have an interesting definition of "buy low". #1 FF QB, lets all go buy low. In the future, let us know about these great buy lows, you know, before they blow up.

Yeah I was waiting for "I had a dream last night, and I had these offers sent to me. Then I woke up". I love how he adds "Ronnie Brown +".
