Steven Jackson - better or worse with Holt out? (1 Viewer)

Let's say Holt is not the Holt we are used to. How does this effect Steven Jackson's numbers?

Bump up for more touches?

Or bump down because defenses will focus more on stopping him, and the overall offense suffers and provides fewer TD opportunities?

I think that with Holt out and Bruce pushing 40 that the entire Rams takes a step back which will affect SJax's numbers negatively

no change IMO either. I think Bennett and Bruce can still keep the defenses humble. ALong with McMichael, Sjax should be fine. If anything, more touches out of the backfield, but about the same as predicted for this year.

I would say move Bruce up he's 35, but in good condition, he could be a nice sleeper pick in FF drafts.

Don't stick your head in the sand. The entire Rams offense is worse without Holt.

If Holt is out or ineffective for a significant amount of time, S Jax & Bulger will definitely suffer. Small uptick to Bruce, big uptick to Bennett.

He is then the focus of the offense.

if holt is worse, they would be expected to be in the red zone & scoring TDs less... seemingly this could only be a negative for jackson...

that is assuming bulger couldn't adjust by throwing more to bennett in 3 WR sets & mcmichael (not to mention leonard, who has looked like a 5 year veteran so far, & could play RB, FB & TE)... maybe this is true, but imo it is indeterminate at this point... the rams have ran a pretty vanilla offense in the pre-season, & don't want to tip their hand on formations...

bennett is horrible. I dont see how he factors in positively either way. without holt, or hurt, this team is simply not the same O. But Bennett is worthless.
