Steven Jackson or Joseph Addai (1 Viewer)

Dynasty speaking both are fairly close both ranked in the top 5. Both are 25 or younger. Jackson has more tred on the tires. Addai plays on a better, system, team and O-LINE. Jackson has more talent.

So which would you want.

Talent vs. Opportunity.

Both don't really have threats. Leonard, Hart, Rhodes.

Will teams but 8 or 9 guys in the box versus the Rams?

Jackson, without question. Look at his numbers after he came back from injury last year. In PPR leagues his value is even higher.

What kind of trade would you make to aquire Jackson in a dynasty.

I don't think Addai for Jackson straight up will work.

I've got Peterson in one dynasty and Jackson in another. I value them pretty close. If I were to trade Jackson, I'd want Addai plus a top WR and maybe a pick for Jackson and a WR3 type. But everybody's teams have different needs, and you should look at the guy's roster and see if he has a gaping hole somewhere.

Yep. Both in-game and in-season, he'll get more touches and opportunities. And when it comes to crunch time, far less likely to sit during FF playoff weeks.

Jackson buy a good margin for me. I agree if I had Jackson and someone wanted to trade me Addai for him. I would expect a startable WR thrown in the mix.

I just offered a guy Addai and Fitzgerald for Jackson and he turned me down. I thought it was very fair.

I would say that was a fair deal. Sometimes guys just aren't willing to give a guy up.... at least not at a fair price. Looks like this could be a case of that.

Was curious about this. Jackson has had twice as many touches in the NFL as Addai. 1060-568Jackson has certainly missed more games being hurt. 6-1 (four seasons compared to two)Jackson had 809 touches in 3 years at college. His final season he had 394 touches.Addai had 548 touches in 4 years at college. His final season he had 207 touches.Jackson is 2 months and 19 days younger. Both at 25 when season starts.Jackson has had two more years in the NFL then Addai, which is considerably longer and more demanding then college.I'd have said that Jackson has less tread on the tires.

Owner values him high as he should. I'll have him counter and see what else he wants packaged with Addai.
What about AP? lol
Not even going to make a run at him, You have to much depth to bother.
I saw you made an offer earlier in my email then revoked it. lolSingman has alot of depth too if you're trying for sjax.
Singman doesn't have Jackson...PS the draft room is bumping, get in there! haha...

Very nice offer. I'm surprised he turned you down.
He says he's going to counter. He told me take away the TDs and Addai stunk last year. Maybe he's right, I don't know anymore.

Fitzgerald and Addai for Jackson is too much IMO.

I have Fitzgerald too, I wouldn't give up a TOP 5 WR and a Top 6 RB for a Top 3 RB.

I just went to the site, cant find the draft room lol...get on AIM

Take away TD's and alot of guys stink....

Try giving him guys that have high yardage totals and say "If they scored TD's they'd be studs!"

I didn't offer that Greg....

I didn't really make a formal offer for Jackson yet.

The offer for ADP was like 1.2 and Addai and I think Cotchery for ADP but had second thoughts.

Addai is a good back in a great system, but he's unlikely to put up the type of number SJax is capable of (2300 total yards). Addai is a safe pick and probably less likely to get injured because the Colts limit his carries. SJax is simply a bigger part of his offense than Addai and therefore has a higher ceiling. I wouldn't fault anyone for choosing Addai but I prefer guys with upside, even if it carries more risk.

I wouldn't call him Top 3, more like Top 2. LT is great but will be 30 next year, so Jackson is only below AP, imo. He just countered with me throwing in a 1st for next year, and I'm seriously considering it.

Just was offered this:

I get Steven Jackson, Donald Driver and 40th Rookie Pick (throw in)

He gets: Addai, Fitzgerald and 1.2

Way too much to give up for Jackson as Driver is older...

I thought the whole "tred on the tires" myth was busted. I think Chase did a nice summary a while back on it...

If you're gonna be offering that much you might as well try for AP imo. WHERE IS THE DRAFT ROOM AT THE CBS SITE? I've looked everywhere for it lol.

I wouldn't give up Addai/Fitz for AP. Why give up potentially the #1WR along with a top 4 RB for the #1RB? Seems like way too much imo.

I just drafted Addai a couple of weeks ago in an inaugural dynasty draft, and I would be thrilled if somebody offered me Steven Jackson for him straight up. I don't think this is a close decision.

Maybe so. But that wasnt the point I was getting at as I didnt start the analogy.Just if you had to state that one had less tread on his tires... it would be Jackson with less.
