Steven Jackson (1 Viewer)

I'd put him above LJ personally. I'd have him ranked #2 overall. Give up whatever is needed.
Steven Jackson single-handedly willed my PPR league team to a title.Edit to add: LJ's value takes a hit with Edwards at the helm IMO

I agree. I think his value continues to drop as time goes on. That line isn't getting any better. We may see Huard behind center next year and teams daring KC to win with the pass. I don't see the guy falling out of the top 10, but I don't see him in the top 1-2-3 anymore. Plus the huge number of touches the guy got this year could take a serious toll next year....

I agree.......especially in PPR leagues. He was an absolute BEAST this year, and he's only going to get better. A healthy (but getting older) Orlando Pace will only boost his productivity. When Pace wen't down, MANY signaled the end of all of the Rams offensive cogs.......man were they wrong. Sky's the limit for this kid.

people may think i'm an old fool but Jackson rates as my #1 back in dynasty leagues. he's 4-5 years younger then LT and LJ and there really nothing negative about him. he has that all aroud game like Faulk had but hes a bigger load to bring down.

complete back

my top 3 in Dynasty formats:

1: Jackson(nothing but up)

2: LT(will be great but have an off-year somewhat)

3: LJ(very scared of the carries this past year)

if u can get Jackson from his owner i would at all costs.

Jackson is a great PPR RB. He had a whopping 90 catches (more than most WRs) and 800 receiving yards. Those 90 catches, in PPR, are equal to 15 TDs ... to go with the high TDs he already had

FINAL PLAYOFF NUMBERS

w12 SJ 34.2, LT 31.4 edge SJ

w13 SJ 25.5, LT 34.2 adv LT

w14 SJ 35.9, LT 30.2 ADV SJ

w15 SJ 24, LT 33.4 adv LT

w16 SJ 42.2, LT 14.3 landslide SJ

Totals

LT 143.5

SJ 161.8

PPR, he is elite - I'd rate him #1. Good luck prying him from an experienced owner.

In non-PPR leagues, I'd put him right behind LT and ahead of LJ only because of the Edwards factor - I think LJ will continue to score a lot of TDs, but I fear Edwards. Bennett is a change of pace, not a substitution - and Edwards seems willing to run his RBs into the ground. If Edwards preserves LJ's longevity, he's comparable to SJax in a non-PPR league.

But, in all, I like what Linehan does with RBs more than Edwards - I see a few more double digit TD/2G+ total yard years from him and I think he is a safer long term option.

i have him in 2 dynasty ppr's call me crazy but i would not trade him straight up for LT2.. lt had the best season in history and was 60 points clear of JAX.. the guy carried me to both titles with huge weeks in the last 5 weeks.

LT is #1 in my eyes as well. The kid is one of the most exciting rbs we will ever see ... he is someone we will be talking about long after he has retired. He put up the most pts in our dynasty league, far and away was SJax. SJax is right up there with LJ, but I agree, with Herm at the helm, give me SJax.

In my dynasty league, we have free agency after a players 3rd, 7th, and 13th seasons. Well SJax is franchised...meaning his value is $49 and I would have to give up my rookie first round pick...1.10. However with my current team....I am not sure if I have the cap room. I have the values next to each player in my signature.

No way I'd take SJax over LT2 that's insane. I don't know why year after year LT2 continues to produce and yet many try their best to put yet another rb over him.

Yes, I own LT2 (Dynasty) SJax would have to string together more than one of the seasons before I think about crowning him king of the hill. If I'm not mistaking hasn't SJax had history of being dinged up. I'll give him 3-5 range but man #1 or #2, wow!

In my 12 team Dynasty League (started last year) it is super competitive. I had the #2 pick and got LT. A few games into the season I traded Dominack Davis, Fred Taylor, Randy Moss, Gerald Hayes (top 10 IDP LP) and my overall #2 pick for Steven Jackson and Lee Evans. Needless to say, I scored huge. The SJax owner was sold on him that early in the season. Yay for me!

I personally wouldn't put Jackson over LT (yet) but I can definitely see people ranking him higher for dynasty purposes. As great as LT is and will be for another few seasons, Jackson is 4 years younger and has much, much less mileage on him, so those drafting for the long term may be inclined to lean towards the guy that will likely be in the league longer from this point forward.

in a dynasty ppr having jax anything less than #2 is absurd, of course lt is the best back in the nfl but if im starting a ppr dynasty team today i would be hard pressed to pass up jax.

thats all i am saying..

Under FBG scoring, he's never been higher than 3rd before this year. Just saying.

What player would most require along with Alexander to trade Jackson away?
As an S Jax owner, nobody. He is only 23 and is a beast. Ironically, I traded Alexander after his monster season last year for S Jax and a 2007 #1.
