It seems I need to de-risk a bit. Anybody have names they like at current prices that will be friendly to rising rates/inflation?
SQQQ doesn't seem like a long-term solution. And I'm not asking you, kev.

Mortgage REITs like NLY react well to rising rates - actually they rise with a large spread, but with the Fed at ZIRP right now that's a given. It seems I need to de-risk a bit. Anybody have names they like at current prices that will be friendly to rising rates/inflation?
Hmmm... generally think of REITs as reacting poorly to rising rates, whether appropriate or not.Mortgage REITs like NLY react well to rising rates - actually they rise with a large spread, but with the Fed at ZIRP right now that's a given.
@YSR Would probably have something to say about this.To be fair, nobody loves anything the way I love wine. It's not strictly legal in 42 states.
I like to think of it as OUR 10 SHARES TOGETHER, GBDiamond hands on my 5 shares![]()
If my Biden bucks would hurry the F up I'd have 5 more and my wife would too!Diamond hands on my 5 shares![]()
Most do. MREITs are a bit of a different beast. I have a chunk of NLY and it sheds 13% on cost right now. I use that slush fund to do stupid #### like buy SPAC warrants, etc. And lately, and out of character, to smartly buy more BLDP at their lows.Hmmm... generally think of REITs as reacting poorly to rising rates, whether appropriate or not.
I took a position on all of these 3-5 weeks ago. Thanks a lot @TodemMDU +15%
EBS +4.5%
DIS +6.6%
BLDP +9% today even for me overall
EXC +.019%
VZ +.014%
GIS +1.21%
GSK +1.25%
PFE -.84%
LMT +.76%
Now you're in a good position to double up on a dip tomorrow.I'm such a baller I bot 2 shares of GME just now![]()

Motley Fool recommendation as well.Added some SKLZ yesterday. I know it wasn't my idea so thanks to whoever's it was...nice bump after earnings.
I would be lying if I say today didn't concern me.Well this is shaping up to be an interesting Friday. So interesting I just put a limit order of $252 to increase my position ~40%.
I got no problem betting on the good guys. All I got is time #####es! #### you hedgies!!
Why is that CAV?I would be lying if I say today didn't concern me.
Was there any reason to expect volume today? I got what I wanted - a quiet day that basically broke even before a big day tomorrow. I think we saw a lot of small retail FOMO trades who want in on the stock for 10 days.I would be lying if I say today didn't concern me.
In all seriousness, they are creating a brand right now. The brand of the 'little guy'. If they can manage the brand, they will have consumers for life.I understand the desire to keep the WSB+ folks happy, but they'd be foolish not to find a way to raise capital from this.
Maybe issue warrants to existing shareholders.
I mentioned it right after one of the worst short reports I've ever seen hammered the price down. So, if it was me, glad it worked out! I mean, I'm glad it worked out anyway.Added some SKLZ yesterday. I know it wasn't my idea so thanks to whoever's it was...nice bump after earnings.
Seiously, my order still hasnt filled. Im wondering if it was halted:GME 267 - here we go, power hour!!!!
Thats a high highOrder No. 226655XXXX

Low: 232.60

Low volume. We will see what tomorrow will bring. Tomorrow would seem like it will be much worse to buy when the stock can't be shorted. I expected more buying today if things are being squeezed like we think. But tomorrow will tell. Why is that CAV?
Change it to a limit order and change "Time in Force" to "Day + Ext"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA stock market closes at 4pm, not 430pm

You're Steerish.I've made a ton of moves over the past week but have been to busy to post...should be able to update holdings tonight. Overall I'm cautiously Bullish.
Hopefully this is correct. Was there any reason to expect volume today? I got what I wanted - a quiet day that basically broke even before a big day tomorrow. I think we saw a lot of small retail FOMO trades who want in on the stock for 10 days.
Gold is the standard answer. I have a bit of NEM (Newmont Holding) and it is preforming well, with record profits and increasing dividendsIt seems I need to de-risk a bit. Anybody have names they like at current prices that will be friendly to rising rates/inflation?
