Stock Thread (8 Viewers)

Also cleared off 6 stocks that were down 50-90% that had recovered a bit. Outside of drones and AI I'm trying to focus on quality growth.

Some fun names like Tilray, Digit Ocean, Truff, AXLS, Couplang, etc

What are you looking at for drones?
Right now I have Archer (-19%), Draganfly (+102%), Joby (+62%), and Honeywell (-11%). There are two other names I have on a watchlist that I don't have in front of me.

ETA: Rocket Lab (+68%)

Overnight, Kraken’s largest customer, Anduril, announced a US$1.1B award from the Royal Australian Navy, for the delivery of a Ghost Shark extra-large autonomous underwater vehicle (XL-AUV) fleet. The contract represents the materialization of Anduril’s previous announcements and, as the largest purchaser of Kraken’s pressure-tolerant batteries, suggests additional sales volumes for Kraken in near future (estimated at >$10M per single XL vehicle).

For anyone that missed out on MU, small pull back today may be a good spot to initiate a position
Purchased MU on 7/21 based on this. Up 22% since. Thank you
I really don't know why it got pummelled back then. Similar to Amazon too much focus on tangential narratives over the actual results. The only reason I exited today was that I feel like there's better than a 50/50 shot at a pullback based on momentum running out of steam.

I missed that this morning. Duly noted 👍🏼

Weird to be barely green with nvda up 4%
I love when the best just keep chugging along. Don't like when they get too far ahead or behind themselves. Take their lumps now and again or stagnate for a time when people and managers trim or news puts up some yield signs but nothing too crazy either way and overall the theme remains the same. Stocks like NFLX and PANW fit the bill. They can actually be harder to finally get into, always waiting for some big moment that never happens (sans the March thingy but you get the gist).

Always have felt way more confident in owning those stalwarts. Kind of like good dirt, where you just know to never sell.

RGR, POWW, etc. Whatever your preferred name for such things (and welcome specific reccomendations if anyone has them).

Whatever your view of these things, people tend to stock up when the conversations turn heated around these events. And that's here.

AVAV, KTOS. KTOS is my biggest holding. Too big, actually. But I'm holding for now.
Unless you're like 80 with a wife and kids that this could legit matter, and/or a will and **** that could affect them in a big way when your time comes, then hell with it.

You've done your job and then some. You're more important than others who, if possibly so, will barely remember where it all came from and why. Sad but true. You're fine dude. Roll with that stuff and just know that you're super fortunate for these kind of things to even be in the equation at this point. Congrats!

Unless it affects you or others' sleep at night, for real, then just continue on your cruise brother. . . which you well know can end any day. You crushed it, be stoked.

And if you want to sleep better because you killed it, the actual big game:

1. Hedge your positions, no problem, and not difficult.

2. DFWAI!

3. Sleep easy, you deserve it.

Thanks for the kind words. I worry about a ton of stuff, but this holding isn't one of them. I've ridden it up from $10 and it's been a huge blessing.

BTW I have no idea what DFWAI is. Can you spell that out?

Oracle up 48% over last 5 days. Great googly moogly. Ellison briefly becomes world's richest man. Talk about a guy that has done a remarkable job of staying off the public's radar.

Well I bones this one. Up another 7% today.

Silver up to $41.50/Oz. I don't think she's done climbing, either.

All time high $49.95 back in 1980.

Boy, if it cracks that mark, giddyup. Look for me at Harry's Coin Shop ifin she do.

Only have a bunch of old Libertys and Q, D, etc that used to be my grandfather's. Brought them home after my dad died.

Not sure I could even at a great price, though what's going to become of them? Kinda dumb, really.

Eh, give them to Daughter Sac.

Or.....hear me out, here. Maybe ask her what she'd like to do with them. Lug them around move after move in her young adult life of go with you to Prescott's Pawn and Pet Shoppe and split the cash proceeds for something fun and wild, like a balanced stock portfolio or a Certificate of Deposit!

Jeebus. They couldn't fit rare earth crypto-cobalt cannabis blockchain in there somewhere?

Jim Rogers was hyping silver last week since GLD is at all time highs but silver has a ways to go.

I mean....this is about the closest it has been to all time highs since 1980.

Gold has been setting new highs since it cracked the $800 level set in 1980 several years ago.

The historical gold/silver ratio went haywire long ago as well. We have been in strange territory with this ratio for 2 decades now.

Yeah, I can't really explain that either, except that gold is seen as a store of value whereas silver isn't anymore.
