I'm curious at what point is NFLX not worth it? Do any of you intend on selling at any point?

Looking at Disney, they have a P/E under 20 (compared to the other who has a P/E of what, 300?), a dividend of 1.5%, and when they both open tomorrow, one will be worth $108B, the other $167B.

I bought Disney last year. If we are doing either/or then I favor Disney for the diversification and brands they have. The one worry is the drag they have had on their TV stuff as that continues to slow and specifically ESPN just continues to suck. It has done well for me so far and I intend to hold long term.

I think maybe you're misinterpreting my statement.  I, like you, believe.  But I do so differently.  That being from the vantage point of someone who couldn't care less how widespread legalization becomes other than from the financial opportunities it might present.  My drug of choice is a little more boozy.

It's something I wish I'd invested in sooner.  I know it will come as a shock to you, but there are people here who might be a touch smarter than me, and I was hoping one of them might have some insight I lack RE: the upside potential of these companies from current valuations.
Right, I know but it already seems like you've formulated the opinion that they are overbought, which is not going to get an argument from me.  The valuations are stupid.  But, I think we just might be at the part of the movie where 'people' are starting to talk about pot stocks the same way they talked about dotcom stocks many moons ago.  And I do think the place to be is Canada, which is going to legalize weed country wide absent any pressure from any kooky elf posing as some sort of regulatory boogie man.

There are others brighter who can shed light on the valuation, but you've already noticed its ridiculous run-up.  Meh, at 11ish a share, I'm fine staying with Aurora.  I'm already up a whooping 12% since I started buying 12/29/16, I just wish I bought more of this and none of the Cannabis Wheaton, which I spit out today.

I'm looking into GOHE for similar reasons - a penny stock tied to blockchain and marijuana.  Like everything else tied to weed it spiked in December, from $.02 to $.16, but has fallen off to around $.04 again.  Just looking to throw a few bones at a couple of potential home run gambles.

I liked Bobby's synopsis of blockchain and have sent his review to a few people who, like me, are still puzzled over this brave new world of blockchain/crypto etc.  We stumbled upon a tiny little company called Peat Resources Ltd that is trading at all of .10 cents share, but actually has acquired some decent properties in the Congo and plans to incorporate blockchain technology to prove its cobalt and other metals are sourced 'conflict-free', which is going to be something the mining industry and its end users are forced to prove.  When Bobby talks about identifying the companies that might come out of this - for lack of better word - bubble and emerge as having a viable business, I do think there is value in being first to employ blockchain technology in a new avenue such as proving its minerals are not birthed by the hands of children or slaves.

The stock was engaged in peat in the past, which accounts for the name, but I'm told will be changing its name to Cobalt Blockchain.  The properties are legit, according to our boots on the ground.  The stock has already run up massively, but sold off today.  And yes, I know we are discussing a stock that trades at a dime per share today.  I don't own it personally, but I'm going to take a starter position this week.  If nothing else, it's worth putting on the radar and monitoring along as it marries one of the hottest commodities with the hottest buzzword going.
What platform are you using to invest in this? I sure as #### won't be seeing this on Merrill Edge...

Congrats. Nice return for 6 weeks. I'm holding for a bit, still. Looking to double-up.
Good luck. I think approval is gonna happen, i just dont know if it will go up on approval. One thing that is likely though is if news comes out early AM there will likely be at least a few premarket triggers for a nice spike.

3000 shares of BPTH at .2265. Good chance this thing has an RS soon since they are deficient, but they also have data coming out pretty soon and have a decent shot at getting fast tracked. I have seen cheapo biotechs double just on the announced that enrollment in a phase 2 has been completed. So if the data is solid i see an easy double. Just a question of whether or not it will R/S before that.

@pecorino back in for 300 shares of SGYP at 2.59 just so I can watch this thing with interest. Never seen price action like this on the day before and day of approval so I dont actually think it will sell on news, but not willing to take any kind of actual risk.

Where are you guys seeing 11 cents? IB is showing me .135.

I'd like to get in, if we all chip in $1k we'll be controlling shareholders soon :excited:

I'd nominate GM for Chairman of the Board.

President and COO meeting with some big swinging wangs in NYC this week.  I now own 22,500 shares at a cost basis of .11 cents.  The company's AGM is next month and they should announce the name change then.  New ticker will be COBC on the Canadian.

exchange rate.

you are looking at CAD price. convert it to USD for the PEATF listing.

lol at changing their name to Cobalt Blockchain.

"Hi, I'm Big **** Billionaire"
:lmao:

This is just a smidge different from the Long Island Ice Tea Co doing the same.  I mean....they will have cobalt properties and they will be using blockchain technology to prove their minerals are conflict free.

Sincerely,

General Blockchain Cyrptopenis

I've been quietly chuckling to myself for 4 straight minutes on this comment.

Now, we'll turn this earnings call over to our CEO & Chairman of the Board General Blockchain Crytopenis for any questions.

Stepping away from GM's penis for a second, I think just about every one of us has exposure to AAPL in here.

So many analysts have been downgrading iphone demand in the last week or two, JPM ( ) most recently - anyone have any thoughts on this? While the market has spent the better part of the last month moonshooting, AAPL has remained stagnant. It did pop, but gave back most of those gains.

I was buying into the iphone x hype initially, but have eased back - think they may report fairly strong numbers in Q4, but that may have stolen some of that demand from 2018.

I'm in a DRIP program and receive a JPM dividend payout on 1/31... I sent Interactive Brokers a note asking if they can invest those funds into PEAT Resources instead of JPM.

My account was just locked and placed on fraud alert :kicksrock:
