Wow ... wish I had another $100k to buy more amzn right now.

Seems like a bargain with what will be at least a neutral report tonight (but I'm guessing they crush it).

I predict price will be over $1900 by close tomorrow.

Now TWTR, really thinking about a small short. Thing is AMZN will probably have an impact on it, just like FB did, even though it really shouldn't.

Yup ... I'd have made a fortune.

I mean .... more of a fortune than I'm already making here.

Wow, wasn't paying too much attention today....no one told me VLO was going to go nuts today.  That was a very pleasant and unexpected surprise there.

Don't worry about the temporary movement. The results are the results and they'll make you much more money long term.

So I’m still a noob to this. I just keep buying the same thing and if it doesn’t work out I’ll just die in a gutter one day. Somebody explain to me how it goes from 1870 to 1808 to like 1885 in a matter of 45 minutes. That’s wild.

Much less volume in after hours trading so price swings are more volatile

Valuation help... If I'm reading this correctly (and doubtful I am since I'm not a fundy), AMZN now trading a bit above 2-2.5X the PE of BABA with both growing about 20-30% next FY? Debt seems to be double BABA's as well. Why is BABA #2 compared to AMZN?

People were listening to the earnings conference call, buying and selling, off the information given.

The Chinese are suspected to be giving less than honest numbers.

All I meant was that Netflix is Amazon's biggest customer of AWS. I think something like 30% of AWS bandwidth is dedicated to Netflix.
I understand but I don’t think Netflix is correlated and traffic isn’t the same as revenue. They are 30% of AWS, whose revenue was 50% more than last year’s number. Netflix just had an underperforming quarter and Amazon double their earnings estimate. Being a big customer in one segment of a business doesn’t mean there should be a correlation in stock prices. This quarter with Google and Amazon trucking and Facebook and Netflix not pretty much proves it. They may all do well but as I always thought (especially when Tesla was getting lumped with them), they’re different companies and can have completely different results.

Actually, kind of like the set up for AMZN.

@fantasycurse42 Are you going to short TWTR?  Wondering what puts you would buy. TIA
Sorry, just seeing this now - can’t make heads or tails here, I’ve wanted to buy, but am hoping for mid $30’s ($35-$38 I’m prob nibbling) - think there is so much potential on the platform. I’m not chasing up here though, he downside risk is too strong, ran too far to fast, risky long.

I guess downside would be the play, and I’d gamble on something silly, like $37.5 at 60-65 cents, to late now.

On another note, I think CMG still has wheels to go up, wouldn’t bet against them, but there is an amazing short lining up on them in the interniedate future, maybe 2 quarters away. Foot traffic decreased again this quarter (2nd straight quarter), yet they continue to get a valuation so rich compared to their peers. All they are is a fast food burrito/Mexican joint, one day they’ll be valued as such. If it gets to $600, which is certainly possible, I’m going to evaluate $450 puts pretty heavily.

SHOP might be worth some lotto puts too. The bullish side is overloading here.

Gotta be honest, I kinda like TWTR down here, might pick up 1/4 of a position for a longer term hold, prob more downside, but I’ll add another 1/4 when it falls lower.
