Hearing the word reallocation being said a lot.  These record stock rises have to be doing a number on allocation %'s of a lot of funds, right?  Was that what was determined to cause the 2018 December drop, then quick rebound?

I remember something of that nature but it didn’t really have much effect unless you were day trading.

I wonder if we will see any type of selling early next year when a ton of the gains this year will be long term gains, especially in March. Again, probably not worth trying to guess but I can’t see huge tax sales this year because so much would be short term gains.

We will absolutely see sell-offs in Q2 for tax purposes.  Especially in the high riser tech stocks IMHO.

Trying to figure out where to put in a stop right now.  It's suddenly my largest single holding in my trading account (still a very small percentage of my overall portfolio).
Oh yeah, Fidelity won't let me do any kind of stop loss or limit order on RVVTF.

Really? That’s interesting.
Yup, tried all six of the Stop orders they have available, all triggered one of these two errors:

Error:(010896) A Trailing Stop order cannot be placed against this security. Trailing Stop orders cannot be placed for Pink Sheets or Bulletin Board securities.

Error:(008163) The Stop Order you are attempting to enter is currently unavailable for this security. This may be due to market conditions or the ineligibility of that order type for this security. When OTC securities are either temporarily or permanently ineligible for Stop Orders, you may not enter such orders through any channel, including electronic and automated channels, as well as representative-assisted channels. Please refer to online help for further clarification.

I see its beating earnings every quarter this year, but why is it worth a 36 P/E when banks as a whole avg. less than 16?
It's a speculative crypto growth stock so comparing it to traditional banks is probably not wise.  You would need to believe in the proliferation of crypto(which has already started with PayPal etc.).  I personally believe that the proliferation has already begun and is here to stay.

IPOB up 7% today.  I'm cashing out my 53% gain.  Maybe it runs to $40, but not many of these SPACs have done that.  I'll recycle those funds in another SPAC closer to $10.

I'm not one to short, but if I was, I would be shorting ****'s Sporting Goods.  Went twice this weekend and the place was a ghost town.  More employees than shoppers.

RVVTF hit $.72 today.  That is more than a fivefold increase from it hitting $.136 on November 11th.  But it has now dropped to $.5011.

Cashed out my initial investment amount at $.62 earlier today, will probably let the rest ride for awhile and see what happens from here.

Thanks. I've been forming a position with PayPal for that reason. Sounds like this is a purer crypto play?

Along that line. Academy Sports (ASO) IPO'ed a few months ago. Now around $17.80 with a 6.5 P/E. They haver been very crowded and strong curbside sales.

Definitely feel like the market is struggling to keep rolling today. The premarket was up almost 1% and it’s down now. Feels like we may be at the top for a bit especially with the IPO craziness last week. Vaccines starting to roll out so maybe the focus may turn back to the economy/company fundamentals. I could be wrong but I definitely felt like the euphoria got hyper extended last week.

Thanks to Jeff, still looking at a nice day.

That was one of the few IPOs I got shares in, I think $13 and 300 shares. I sold when it popped to $17 a few weeks ago. Seemed like a decent long term buy but I just felt like taking the money and running.

Thanks.  Just started a small portion.  Hate buying at the ATH, but at that P/E it feels like a good place to park a small amount of cash.

Took my first foray into crypto last week getting into ETHE at my BIL's urging. Dipped some after I bought it but big day today, I assume due to it being the last day to get in before a 9/1 split.

Also feeling like I timed my entry into PTON pretty well, getting in when it dipped to 100 last month. Steady climb upward since and in my opinion the surest bet among my holdings to run another 20% first half of 2021. They will crush it this holiday season.

Nice to be green for once on a red day overall.
