Was just reading that demand for avocados is very close to outstripping supply if we're not there already.  How do we make money off of this?
I got a tree in my backyard that drops about 20-30 a season.  I can draw up a futures contract on them if you want to buy em now?

I hate that Scottrade was bought out but loving the TD Ameritrade platform.
Same here, had to download another app  .  I hated it for like 30 seconds.  The software is much better.  I can see why they were able to buy them out now  .  I love the earnings calendar and how everything is synched with live updates, and the detailed quoted offer much more info than Scottrade.

300 TVIX @ 8.32
A little early, I actually think it might be a good trade On Thurs before the Friday NFP - we see upward pressure on wages, 10 year takes out 3% and we prob see some more selling. If it doesn’t show upward pressure, sell premarket at a small loss.

Great R/R

Agree on all points and also why I only bought 300.

Market could have a face ripper today after talks of North Korea denuclearization.  Up 200 premarket with commodities trending up.

Sold out of OKTA the other day when it spiked up to 33ish (I sold around 31 and change). Love it long term, though. Hoping it drops a bit more but I think I'm going to start a small buy-and-hold position in the next couple of days, regardless.
This thing seems to be catching on as of late. I did start another small position in December but wish I would have bough more. I'm thinking about selling some puts for a bit but it might also just be time to start averaging into a long term hold and buying outright.

Worst part is, I pulled open an order to by NFLX puts at $300 for like a buck and change as lotto tickets earlier today, thought about it, didn't pull the trigger :kicksrock:

People spent the last couple of days buying and ignoring red flags waiving, tariffs coming, Cohn out... If that NFP comes in hot, right back to Feb lows and IDK if they'll hold.

I'm talking to a Mexican senorita who owns avocado....farms?  plantations?....in one of the greatest avocado producing regions in Mexico.  Let's talk.

Just watching everything closely over the last few years and how these machines work, I think we get a bounce in the morning, straight misdirection... If we do, that'll be what you want to sell hard.

Tariffs just became real, the threat of a trade war just went up about 300%... Not only has the market not priced any of these possibilities in, they've bought and ignored them in the last 3 sessions.

I moved all of my 401k & Mrs. SLB's 401k into a total return bond fund Friday.  Pretty happy about it right now.  Had roughly 40% of the rest of our investments already in something similar.

Trump water carrier, Larry Kudlow, was just on an interview on CNBC and said nervously “don’t panic” about 28 times in 5 minutes.

Honestly, I'd almost rather be in cash than bonds right now looking at the macro... But short term, bonds will be some good safety tomorrow :moneybag:
