Just fired bigly at CCL.  Going to have a fairly tight stop at 7.70.

im still up from the runup from 8 to 16 last week - hope to catch some of the same magicx

When this flips it is going to be fast.  I also wonder how much longer Russia can keep this production up.
I'm not so sure at this point. World demand in 2019 was approximately 100 million b/d and supply was within that number by a couple hundred thousand b/d. Firms are estimating that current demand destruction of oil is at about 20%. That is 20 million b/d in excess. SA is now producing 13 million b/d and Russia about 11 million b/d.

If we continue to lockdown internationally for the next 45 days, we are looking at a surplus of 900 million barrels. That doesn't even account for the China slowdown and the time it takes to ramp up after we all get back to work. At that point, a reduction in SA and Russia production is a rounding error. It will likely take a couple of years to bring balance back to the oil markets.
:coffee:

Good analysis, but ironically timed today :)

Chet- why do they keep paying for stories? Doesn't seem odd to you? Thanks of course for always pointing out that they're paid articles.
They are getting more traditional media coverage but the CEO apparently still feels the need to pay for coverage.  I don't know why more aren't covering CYDY--a story about 8/10 severely ill patients responding would seem to be something that would interest many and frankly would also give some hope.

I have absolutely no interest in going anywhere near cruises/airlines/restaurants/casinos right now. There's so many other beaten down stocks that don't involve hordes of people cramming themselves into the same place at the same time and sucking each other's air into their lungs that I'm just more comfortable waiting until we really do get the "all clear" in the form of a treatment or even vaccine before seeing who's left standing on the rubble.

Thanks @Don Hutson for posting the Proactive story.  Here's the PR from this am.

Highlights from both the PR and paid Proactive "story":

  • 8/10 patients showing significant improvement after 3 days
  • all 10 patients were severely ill; think ventilator
  • "The current data suggests a trend toward the restoration of immune function and mitigation of the cytokine storm."
  • “As leronlimab continues to provide hope for many patients, our management team is focused to ensure we can distribute the drug across the country in a timely fashion”
I hope you guys have something that helps people, but this type of PR seems off to me.  I know my company reporting on our trials while they are still going on like this would be an immediate and emphatic red flag (obvious concerns of bias and conflict of interest).  The FDA would be so far up our asses.

I realize my post is going to go over like a wet fart here with people making money off of it.

Chet will probably never pick me up in his ferrari either.

AAL down to $10.19.  Any takers here?
Guess not :kicksrock:

I wouldn't pick you up either if you're going to fart on my Italian leather Ferrari seats.

If I was going to place a long term bet on an airliner, DAL would be it.
Agreed. But I'll just buy JETS

I must be missing something here. I get that there's a lawsuit pending and financials aren't in a great position, but (using old data of course) a PE of 3.4 and dividend yield of 5.6% (yes this will probably fall) is too good to pass up on DFS.

Trying to get back into BRZU at 1.41 - it's hovering around 1.49 - I should probably just up my ante.....

Posts like this are good to read too.  Maybe take a spin in my fiero?

I'm more likely to go the JETS route too and have been waiting to buy in.

Still looking at delta. Wonder where the bottom is.

Just anecdotal but I fly a bunch (well used to before this) and Delta is generally the best to fly IMO.

I am out of Seattle and Alaska Airlines are great for me, I'm committed to them and they are good, but Delta has tried to hone in on the territory and they are doing a kickass job. Much better lounge in the SeaTac airport, best and newest planes in and out of Seattle, very aggressive advertising in local market, etc.

They seem to be run really, really well.

Oh and that Warren Buffett guy likes them.

I’m in! 23 and some change per.

...penny stocks fluctuate. It's what they do.
I bought some MRNA earlier today, glad I used a limit. Bought, price shot up like 5% immediately afterwards, then back down below where I bought, keeps fluctuating. Currently up 7%. Not a penny stock but I'll still expect it to  bounce a bit.

Maybe today's news about the vaccine being developed by the University of Pittsburgh is is hurting CYDY.  Not much need for Coronavirus treatment if a vaccine is developed.

Gold's screaming higher.  Course the JNUG/NUGT aren't following, but still....

ETA:  I mean, they're green, but Gold the metal is acting MUCH better.  If I ever talk about dabbling in levered ETFs again, I hope somebody hits me with a frying pan.

CYDY free-falling this afternoon. Down over sixty cents on good news. Go figure.
Some speculating that the PR was not precise enough in terms of the status of the patients.  Some profit taking makes sense but this seems overdone IMO.  It was good news!

My order to buy more at $2.25 didn't hit. Guess I'm happy about that?

Icon got me strip club passes way back in 2005, it was epic.  That was a long long time ago.  Feels like a different lifetime

Totally relaxed. Sold some at $2.40 the other day, bought back in at $2.25 within minutes. Sold more again at $2.40 and saw an opportunity to buy back in at $2.25 again. Picking up some pennies along the road, all relaxed and such. No harm in trading it as well as investing in it.
