Yeah, you're f'n nuts. That's way too low.beef said:Berkshire getting in on SNOW now too? "Only" 250M bet for them though.
Am I nuts for thinking this may hit $200/sh the first week after the retail cult checks in?

Um, looking like $235 to open soon. I hope Warren got in at a much lower level. We may own some SNOW through BRK-B but it's not looking like we'll own any outright. I'm not buying an IPO at a price that's triple what the original price was ($75-80).pecorino said:I told wifey it would be $150 on Wednesday. Just a guess. She owns BRK so that’s fine. I’m not buying on that kind of pop, though.
I'd imagine the options action on SNOW will be insane. I also assume, though, that trading options won't happen at the same time as the IPO but maybe several days later? Feels like a ticker needs time to establish at least a brief history before options are traded on it, but I'm just speculating.Bob Sacamano said:Wonder where $150 puts will open
I think a minimum of three business days but it’s usually longer. Though with this one, who knows?I'd imagine the options action on SNOW will be insane. $250 millionI remember reading CRM had a stake in them. Anybody know how large?
If I calculate right Salesforce jump made $250 million or 33 cents a share. Their 3Q earning target is 75 cents.$250 million
i just added some salesforce
That'd be a nuts if it did drop to 125. I cut bait quickly. Will wait and see where this one balances out at.I'm suspect my $125 limit order is safe.
How low do we think Snow will drop? I got to imagine these institutions and other companies that brought shares are shedding them to lock in gains and free up money for the next one.
188.37A little less than 3 hrs of trading remaining in the day. Post your guesses as to closing price. Closest to the mark gets a free (very) stale pastry of your choice.

What's the deal with IPO? Does it hold offerings long? The company profile makes it look like they fairly quickly get in and back out.Assuming IPO will be in on it, too
Which ones? I’m only in OPES, FMCI, IPOB and IPOC. I missed the EV ones although I know there’s too many EV stocks right now and many won’t make it long term.Just picked up an add'l 5 SPACs.
I wonder why RVVTF didn't pop more than that? I think I'm going to have to buy some in case a delayed pop is on the way.Only up 12%.
iirc: When a company reaches 2 years from their IPO, they sell the position that quarter-end.What's the deal with IPO? Does it hold offerings long? The company profile makes it look like they fairly quickly get in and back out.

If they fold without finding a deal then they give the 10 bucks back.INSU - Insurance Acquisition (Something may be near hear)
SNPRU - Tortoise II
SVACU - Starboard Value (Papa John's and Darden investor)
TWCTU - Cheap and says they will look tack
CFFA - 3 month extension. Not sure if this is standard. It was cheap.
I may be foolish here...but all 7 previous SPACs I've bought are in the green. I assume the downside is somewhere in the 9s if they fold?
So it's basically a bet that, on average, companies increase in value following their IPO?iirc: When a company reaches 2 years from their IPO, they sell the position that quarter-end.
Are you out of the others? I’m up about $7k on the 4, so I like them as well and IPOC hasn’t gotten the news pop yet. Unfortunately, FMCI is in a taxable account so taxes make flipping that a decision.INSU - Insurance Acquisition (Something may be near hear)

Still holding FMCI, LCA, FTAC, IPOC, OPES, KCACU, GSHU sold Diamond Peak in the mid 20s, now in the 30s. Couldn't pass on it doubling twice for me.Are you out of the others? I was actually thinking about PSTH, but I’ll check out your others. Kind of want to try and stay on the high quality ones where maybe it’s something to hold for a while. Some of my best stocks are pretty recent IPOs just a couple or few years later. Get them early and the returns can be stellar and make up for the poop.

I'm kind of using these new ones as a cash holding cell. I the market dumps, I'll sell for a small loss/break even and buy something else.

I used to get a K1. TaxCut handled it just like entering a W2. I never received dividends so mine were always pretty simple.Perhaps not the right place to ask, but you're all active...
I can upgrade my fundrise account to advanced, but then they'll issue me a K1 each year.
How much of a pain is getting a K1? And filing taxes with it
We're probably talking about $200 or so in dividends. Not huge, but something.I used to get a K1. TaxCut handled it just like entering a W2. I never received dividends so mine were always pretty simple.
It's been awhile and not sure if the new tax laws changed, but I believe that will just transfer to Sch B or D as cap gains??? If you use a tax software I wouldn't worry about any hassles entering it. I've always used TaxCut deluxe or premium and it was very straight forward. We're probably talking about $200 or so in dividends. Not huge, but something.
SNPRU didn't go live on TD, unless I messed up the ticker. These SPACS have done well for me too so I threw a little at the others. Thanks for the heads up.INSU - Insurance Acquisition (Something may be near hear)
