$RKT doesn't get me all hot and bothered but it should be doing better than this, right? Anybody own it? I'm really just trying to decide if it's worth adding to my watch list.

I sold 2/3s of my DKNGs on the last run.  Now trading in the 47s.  Any thoughts about adding here or will things cool off with football season wrapping up?
I'm not saying that's impossible. Certainly could be some odd behavioral thing that drives someone to sell while the app's not front and center to them on a weekly basis. But it shouldn't be a surprise to anyone that football season ends. It's not exactly a shock to their revenue model. Unless other sports end up canceling a lot of games.

Well, Amazon keeping me afloat as most of my growth stocks taking another hit. Kind of nice that I can never figure out if Amazon is considered growth, tech, WFH or retail. Just seems to move in it’s own direction.

RLFTFs stock price still hasn't popped in anticipation of their Covid trial which ends Jan 6th.  It might be because NeuroRX formed the SPAC BRPA a couple of weeks ago.  NeuroRX is in control of the study of RLF-100 and owns 50% of the RLF-100's US sales and 20% of its worldwide sales.  So a lot of the early money that went into that SPAC likely came from RLFTF investors and some likely sold RLFTF stock to buy into the SPAC.  Some of those profits should come back to RLFTF since the SPAC went up to $76.99 but has now settled in the low $30s.  There is a lot of speculation on the message boards that BRPA will buy RLFTF for something like a dollar a share.  It is a union of companies that would make sense the same way CytoDyn should have merged with Patterson's IncellDx.  RLFTF is down 4% today at $.395.
Looks like the FDA added 31 more patients to the 165  so there will be 196 patients.  They are also going to look at 60 days in addition to the primary endpoint at 28 days.  So the study now has a completion estimate of February 28th.  I guess this explains why the stock price is down today.  It won't be surprising me if the stock price falls for a few days.

I have some shares but am content holding into next year. It's a sleepy stock trading within a narrow range for a few months now. I would wait to buy below $20. It will make a run eventually. They plan to do a $1B buyback program at some point.

I got out to get some Hgen. Might go back in January.

Bought some IMMR for my dad’s account too. “Well you know they are making the PS5 remotes and they haven’t reported earnings yet off that...just seemed like a good buy, undervalued company”

”wow good job”

That would have been helpful before I added this morning.  Doh....

For whoever asked about REITs earlier, I recently doubled down on WPC. Yes, it has retail exposure. But they're net lease, they have 10 year contracts on average, their collection rates in 2020 were still very high, they're well diversified (including international exposure), and they'll reach dividend aristocrat status in a couple of years. Which doesn't matter much to me, but it will to some. And that fact alone will land them on buy lists for some people. And funds. Nice yield right now that has room to come down as we head into a recovery.

Friendly reminder for the relative newbies... if you see your stock, etf, or mutual fund holding mysteriously experience a significant drop in the next few days, it's entirely possible that it may be related to a dividend event or end-of-year/end-of-quarter distribution, harvesting, re-alignment, or other benign action, and you might get a payout or more shares of equal amount in your account in the following days.

Check before you panic.

Should just be mutual funds and ETFs. Stocks shouldn’t be affected as it would be just dividends for stocks. They don’t have stock sales and stuff like that with capital gains that get pushed back to us. If a stock owns another company’s stock and sells it then it becomes their income/earnings just like normal day to day. I’ve never owned an ETF, but I’d think they’d have to be similar to a mutual fund if they sell any holdings.

I thought it would stabilize at $220 (bought long term calls at that time) but now looks to be headed lower. $180 is the next support level where I’d double down.
Anyone who bought BABA calls on that drop, those should be up about 30% by today. I’m a seller of half if they hit the 50% mark, but others may want to take profits sooner.

This news is going to cause the stock price to fall off of a cliff today.  The Swiss market went as low as $.19 usd and is currently $.27 usd.  In the US premarket, it has a bid of $.25 and an ask of $.30.  Here is today's pr: https://finance.yahoo.com/news/neurorx-relief-conclude-enrollment-phase-060000013.html

They said on Dec 7th that enrollment was full.  The study was supposed to be completed 28 days later.  Instead, the study added 31 patients and it just finished enrollment.  Also, the FDA denied an EUA but that was on just the first 21 patients.  It was stupid to even apply for an EUA after only 21 patients so that was a self-inflicted wound.

Seems like a good buy option.

Is this thread primarily short term holds or day trades?
Not for everyone. I’m mostly long term with some trading around core positions and usually note which is which whenever I bring anything up. I think most people here are similar while some pure traders are mixed in.

Mix of everything.  The short term trades probably get discussed the most because there's just way more of them happening.  But the majority of traders here are long.

90% of what I talk about is primarily short term action, but that's only 10% my portfolio.  giver or take...
