>>Judge Jackson: “He was not prosecuted, as some have claimed, for standing up for the president. He was prosecuted for covering up for the president.”<<
I am surprised that would be considered a mitigating factor in any criminal trial. Now all the good things about Roger, for balance:
and fought for same sex marriage,
Judge Jackson says one member of the public wrote to her ahead of Stone's sentencing to ask that she not silence a voice in the public arena. “That will not be an element of this sentence in any way. I expect he will keep talking.”
Ahh...so we will hear an apology from Trump and Barr...and those who supported them over these prosecutors any minute...right?>>“The government’s initial memorandum was thorough, well-researched and supported,” in concordance with the record and DOJ policy. “Any suggestion that the prosecutors in this case did anything untoward” is incorrect.<<
The guy in the middle looks like Tom Wolfe. This photo contains Lee Atwater and felons who were sentenced to roughly 11 years in prison.

I think 9 minutes will be closer. Suspect that the recent spree of pardons was nothing but smokescreen for immediate pardon of Stone. It would have looked off it was just Stone out of the blue without a recent track record. And a pardon in 9 months.
The guy in the middle is Roger Stone. The guy in the middle looks like Tom Wolfe.
Atwater is responsible for an uneasy coalition that finally broke in 2016 and gave us Trump. From one to another, I guess.
Well then. Color me flabbergasted. The guy in the middle is Roger Stone.
I can only imagine this is the first time anyone other than his wife has ever said this about Roger Stone.Well then. Color me flabbergasted.
He looks really good right now.
Eh, I was simply heightening the irony of his detainment and incarceration.I can only imagine this is the first time anyone other than his wife has ever said this about Roger Stone.
I was giving him till after the election, but by the end of the day wouldn't shock any of us either.I think 9 minutes will be closer. Suspect that the recent spree of pardons was nothing but smokescreen for immediate pardon of Stone. It would have looked off it was just Stone out of the blue without a recent track record.
WITCH HUNT!!! DEEP STATE!!!Stone, Cohen, Manafort, Gates, Flynn, .... And still, the needle doesn't shift. How is this corruption acceptable?

5 and 1/2 months per felony. Seems light even if he were Santa Claus.Whoop. There we go. 40 months.
Yeah, I'm not ecstatic with it but it's definitely better than I'd feared. He was at a guideline of 70-87 months and got 40, apparently because he rescues dogs?5 and 1/2 months per felony. Seems light even if he were Santa Claus.
To be clear, it’s 5 years, 4 months, + $20,000 fine. Two years of the 5 yrs 4 mos is on probation.Whoop. There we go. 40 months.
Gotcha. Thanks. To be clear, it’s 5 years, 4 months, + $20,000 fine. Two years of the 5 yrs 4 mos is on probation.

Vindicated? How so...did you read the judge's comments? The judge pretty much refuted Trump and Barr's claims about the DOJ and sentencing reccomendation.3-4 years in jail instead of 7-9
Trumpkins vindicated
After her blathering about all of that she went ahead and did what Barr thought was the right decision.Vindicated? How so...did you read the judge's comments? The judge pretty much refuted Trump and Barr's claims about the DOJ and sentencing reccomendation.
Blathering? You mean admonishing the AG and POTUS?After her blathering about all of that she went ahead and did what Barr thought was the right decision.
Seems to be in the reasonable range.Whoop. There we go. 40 months.
TROLL LESS.WITCH HUNT!!! DEEP STATE!!!
Jackson agreed with the guidelines recommendations. The sentence was (jail & probation) 5 years, 4 months, and a fine. Stone’s lawyers argued for lying only, roughly 1.5 years, and no jail time. Barr’s replacement team said in court they agreed with the original sentencing recommendation. After her blathering about all of that she went ahead and did what Barr thought was the right decision.
Why not...what consequences will he face? Courts cant touch him...congress won’t and he is still the odds on favorite to win the election. His supporters not only don’t seem to be bothered by this behavior...but think he is right and cheer it on.Trump already going after the jury foreman. Very presidential.
Trump says Roger Stone has 'very good chance of exoneration' hours after sentencingMay be the fastest pardon in US history.
A statement like this makes me question if she understands this case at all. The whole case was about Stone pretending to be a bigger player than he actually was. There was no collusion and nothing to cover up....>>Judge Jackson: “He was not prosecuted, as some have claimed, for standing up for the president. He was prosecuted for covering up for the president.”<<
