Strategies for moving LT (1 Viewer)

Call it panic but I am thinking of trying to unload LT in my 12 team 2 keeper league.

What type of approaches are you going to other owners with in your leagues? Are you going straight up that LT has toe issues and you are looking for a healthy RB. Are you positioning it as the naive owner who is panicking to get rid of LT.

I'd like to go after someone like Turner or Steven Jackson.

How do you break the ice for a blockbuster trade like this so early in the season.

According to another thread also on page 1 of the forum regarding trading LT, the best strategy is to use him as a throw-in player in a really crappy deal. Apparently, he's worth nothing more than that now.

Unless you move him with Sproles I think you'll get value below what a frist round FF RB should get.

So IMO if you don't own Sproles you're better to hold.

If you do own Sproles package them together.

Turner will not do what he did in week 1 or even close to that consistently until that offense gets better. I wouldn't touch SJax with a 10 foot poll due to the state of the Rams either. LT didn't show up until like week 4 last year. You should be patient.

Might just want to open discussions...I am in a keeper league and would move Turner for LT straight up right now....I have Turner....

I'm actually trying to get others to unload him to me. Been offering my top RB (LJ, Bush, etc.) and a WR2 for him (i.e. Holt, welker).

Turner plays the Chiefs this Sunday...he may go for another 200 and 2 TDS.....

Just offered Chris Johnson in a 10T PPR Redraft and willing to package Coles as well. (My WR5)

You're selling low, an injured stud on discount.
:coffee:The best benefit that LT can give to his new owner in trade is immediate and very reliable, high production. Theoretically you're probably as the current LT owner trading for younger prospects and/or draft picks, so LT's current injury problem undercuts his value in trade - there's no way around it. Unlike LJ or Shaun Alexander, however, I don't think he's washed up - he simply seems to have a foot problem that needs to get better.I'm an LT owner who was trying to trade him, but now I'm going to hold him until his health situation clears up.

The best strategy was trading him last week for Barber/Maroney.

You waited a bit too long. LT is starting to break down. Before the year started was the time to unload him for good value.
