I mean he is not even a scientist.Saw the Bill Nye show so decided to look for an episode that interested me. Decided to pick the one on diets.
Pretty bad. If the rest of the series is like this...just understand going in it's heavy on the humor (of which you be the judge) and VERY LIGHT on facts/science.
Ummm...wife and I tried this. One of the most inane, unenjoyable shows we've ever watched four episodes of. Terrible grammar. Shoot me. In Paradise. If you like cop shows (not an action show, more about the investigation), and a Caribbean island as the setting, check out the show "Death in Paradise"
Really loving this show. Each "story" is two episodes. Characters get better and better as does the show. Season 3 is the best so far, IMO.For those of you that like British crime shows , just started Shetland recently and really, really like it. Three seasons, first one is only 2 episodes. Next two are 6 episodes each. I've just started the second season.
It's like a cross between Broadchurch and Top of the Lake. Very solid start.
It's a British show. British humor isn't for everyone.Ummm...wife and I tried this. One of the most inane, unenjoyable shows we've ever watched four episodes of. Terrible grammar. Shoot me. In Paradise.
There is. You, as we all did, will enjoy Sons of Anarchy European Vacation that is coming up soonGf and I started watching Son's of Anarchy. Pretty good so far. Halfway through season 2. I'm sure there is a thread dedicated to it.
Weekend binge in my immediate futureCatastrophe season 3 is excellent, love this show
It was well-intentioned, but I made it through 3/4 of episode 1 and gave up.Started to watch "The Night Manager" the other night. Really good cast with Hugh Laurie and Tom Hiddleston. The writing and direction, after the first episode, leave a lot to be desired. Hiddleston would seem to be quite miscast. How did he win an Emmy for this?
your loss, not ours.jdoggydogg said:It was well-intentioned, but I made it through 3/4 of episode 1 and gave up.
I watched it. It was okay but wouldn't recommend it to people. Also not much of a fan of Night Manager. And I watched the whole thing.
Why don't you take a seat, I've got some bad news.Gf and I started watching Son's of Anarchy. Pretty good so far. Halfway through season 2. I'm sure there is a thread dedicated to it.
No, nor should we feel sorry for your dyslexia.Big shoutout to @SWC for The Five Seven mention. Really eye-opening documentary. Is it wrong that I felt sympathetic in a way to the corrupt cop?
Saying how wrongly I lay my thoughts out you are?No, nor should we feel sorry for your dyslexia.
Worst Yoda ever.Saying how wrongly I lay my thoughts out you are?

It was kind of hard to get through the middle slog, but I must say the payoff was quite satisfying. I was glad we stuck with it.saintfool said:Started to watch "The Night Manager" the other night. Saying the thread is bad or the show is bad?Why don't you take a seat, I've got some bad news.
The thread is glorious, the show is about to quickly turn into garbage for you. Just pretend it only goes two seasons imo.Saying the thread is bad or the show is bad?
Damn that is unfortunate.. like it alot so far. Near the end of 2.The thread is glorious, the show is about to quickly turn into garbage for you. Just pretend it only goes two seasons imo.
1st season = great. 2nd season = good. 3rd season = decent. Every season after that delves further into the ridiculous, but it's one that's hard to let go of. You just accept that it turns into a gang violence show after the promise it showed early.Gf and I started watching Son's of Anarchy. Pretty good so far. Halfway through season 2. I'm sure there is a thread dedicated to it.
we're almost done with this... became a little silly, but it's still a fun ride so far.Started watching season 2 of Fortitude, this season with Dennis Quaid. it's just as bizarre and creepy as season 1, but in a tangential direction that hopefully has absolutely nothing to do with zombies. this was a decent show S1, and continues it's decency into S2. oh... might be on amazon, not netflix.
Season 6, where they went to Syria to fight ISIS was pretty whack.1st season = great. 2nd season = good. 3rd season = decent. Every season after that delves further into the ridiculous, but it's one that's hard to let go of. You just accept that it turns into a gang violence show after the promise it showed early.
I felt the same way. It was missing something. Also needs more KingpinDaredevil
Now that I've finished season 2, I'm glad I watched the series. But there are several flaws: 1) I don't mind the idea of a Foggy character, but this guy is awful. 2) The show uses extreme violence, so that precludes young viewers, but the writing is so juvenile, the show has an uneven tone. 3) Please, please, please no more shots of Daredevil standing on a building looking over the city.
Yeah, there's definitely a gradual descent into silly. But the entire soap opera is worth the watch.1st season = great. 2nd season = good. 3rd season = decent. Every season after that delves further into the ridiculous, but it's one that's hard to let go of. You just accept that it turns into a gang violence show after the promise it showed early.
If you've seen a Tom and Jerry cartoon, that's about what happened in the last season.need2know said:first few seasons of sons of anarchy was awesome. i had no expectations before watching and was surprised how much i liked it. when some of the major story lines starting to end mainly the one with his step father, i got out. i heard from too many how bad the show got at the end and didn't want to waste my time on it.
I have never been so disappointed in the ending of a series. What a ####ty way to end a great show, can't believe HBO pulled the plug.Started Deadwood last night. Thinking about taking a few days off to finish.
Yea, yea, yea...welcome to 2006.
agree. movie in the works thoughI have never been so disappointed in the ending of a series. What a ####ty way to end a great show, can't believe HBO pulled the plug.
Whisky All Around, Deadwood Movie Script IS Finished, “Thrilling And Heartbreaking"YES!!!!!
Awesome. I am halfway through the third season, and not looking forward to be done with this. I am looking at getting into the Ian McShane series on FX (I think that's what its on) just to get more Ian McShane. sunnava... the season finale is such a litany of nonsensical wtfs- super frustrating after what was a really good run. the wife seemed to like it, so I might be flying solo on that opinion. anybody else watching this? I'll discuss further if so. will post the same over in the amazon thread.we're almost done with this... became a little silly, but it's still a fun ride so far.Started watching season 2 of Fortitude, this season with Dennis Quaid. it's just as bizarre and creepy as season 1, but in a tangential direction that hopefully has absolutely nothing to do with zombies. this was a decent show S1, and continues it's decency into S2. oh... might be on amazon, not netflix.
