Heard a rumor that there is going to be a S2 of Dahmer. What the hell are they gonna cover that wasn't covered in the first season?

Welcome to Wrexham S2 is out
Watched and while they were talking about the increased tourism they are seeing, I thought we could be in S3 if there is one. We are going to England in Feb and one of the stops will be Wrexham.
I have officially reached the age where I can't say Wrexham without saying "Wrexham, damn near killed em" every time :bag:

Foundation season finale today. Anyone still watching? It’s my new favorite hate watch. Lee Pace either needs to be asked to stop acting forever or an Emmy nomination.

Just started a gem of a show. Only 2 episodes in but really enjoying it.

It's called Irreverent and it's on Peacock. The only reason I know about it is one of my good friends here is friends with the lead actor (he's from St Louis).

Here's the trailer.

Rotten Tomatoes audience score is 92%.
Thanks for the rec. I am a sucker for Aussie shows for some reason. Usually pretty decent writing, acting, scenery, foul language, and eye candy. Not many award winners, but very watchable. Looking forward to giving this one a go.

When learning anatomy, the same joke was made about the "rectum".

Every. Time.

There was another Aussie show in here recommended by someone (el floppo?) called class of '07 which is a solid watch on amazon prime. It takes an episode or two to warm up but the remaining 6 are solid. It's essentially a class reunion for an all girls school that turns into a survivor type show, I think the episodes are like a half hour each and they go by pretty quickly. I'm hoping for a second season as I enjoyed it enough.

I know GB, I'm not sharp enough to come up with that on my own.

Yeah I liked this as well. Kinda like a comedic take on Yellowjackets without the flashback element.

It’s Kiwi not Aussie but if you like class of ‘07 you’ll like Creamerie on Hulu as well. It’s so funny

"History's Greatest Heists" on the History Channel is a series I recently discovered.

I'm a sucker for all things heists and these shows are pretty well produced with Pierce Brosnan narrating.

Worth a look if you like heist stuff.

Whelp, just finished S2 E6 of The Bear and, uh, I think I need some therapy. That was intense.
Episode 7 is your therapy (and Ritchie's). Seriously.

Episode 4 might have been one of my favorite episodes in all of TV. What a pleasant, lovely joy ride with Marcus.

I felt on edge, waiting for the other shoe to drop, and was so happy that it never did. Joyous. Mr. krista also thought the scenes with him and his "boss" in Copenhagen were very true to a real kitchen.
I really need to watch this show but I spend much of my spare time listening to playlists created by middle-aged dummies.
I finally got started on this. Watched the first two episodes of S1 last night.
S1 E7 of The Bear is some of the most intense TV I have ever seen, and it entirely took place in a kitchen.

have you guys noticed that rectum and wrexham sound similar, even though they're spelled differently?

I have.

At work sometimes my coworkers will speak English with me and ask me "Are you finish?" (with a report/spreadsheet, etc) with which I usually respond "Nein, Amercanisch"

Finished the second season of Foundation - 8/10.

I almost bailed after the first season was so confusing. But I really enjoyed the second season, especially the latter half, because I think the storyline finally clicked with me (even though I'm still not certain which parts are supernatural and which parts comport with actual "science" if you will). But, if you like stories like Dune, Star Wars, and similar deeply-investing sci-fi worlds where the story spans over decades and you may lose a main character or two, this show is definitely worth the watch.

Just got through the third season in a Six Feet Under rewatch. ******** I forgot how great the acting, writing, everything is on this show, particularly loving Frances Conroy's role as Ruth this time.

This is some heavy stuff though that hits A LOT harder this go around. I'm older now so all the death in the show is a bit more relatable I guess.
I've been meaning to give this a re-watch.

It's impressive how well HBO shows hold up. Of course they're great, but they also have great re-watchability (e.g. Wire, Sopranos) compared to other similar quality shows (Breaking Bad, Twin Peaks, etc.).

Stumbled upon Lucifer. Through the first season. It's entertaining so far. Not a lot to it but an interesting take on the devil.
Watched most of s1, maybe into s2. Got very repetitive and didn't go anywhere for me so I dropped it. Mazi was a lot of fun.
Heard it kind of goes off the rails into S3 though.
S1 was good though.

We're midway through Season 3 of Bob's Burgers and really enjoying it. Does it fall off a cliff like The Simpsons or does it stay good throughout its run?

I caught a couple eps of Pokerface on Peacock.

seems ok, I guess, and I've always been a Lyonne fan... but 2 in it's feeling waaaaaay too much like a Columbo ripoff- except it's Columbo on the run. anybody watch this thing- worth continuing?

Season 2 of Winning Time wasn't as good as the first but with its cancellation it sucks to see the series end the way it did.
I'm so bummed they cancelled this show. I absolutely love it. John C. Riley is so amazing in it.

The best post-mortem comment I saw on Twitter was a suggestion for a spin-off with Dr. Buss as an amateur sleuth solving crimes in 70s-80s LA.

There seemed to be less of him and more on-court stuff in season 2 to its detriment.

we tapped out after a couple more episodes
I've watched a couple more (BBQ pit, and is this Chloe Sevigne?). it IS columbo. there's something there, but I think it's better without Lyonne's part of the story, tbh. but yeah... probably done.

Winning Time finished with probably the best episode of the series. I think that is it for the show.

I know they had to tell all these side stories but the parts where they were just focused on the games was so damn good.

Whoever was responsible for the look, feel, sound track for that show needs to do more work. Was fantastic looking and so well shot.

I watched both seasons and enjoyed it  I knew it was a homage to Columbo going in so I guess I was more prepared for the standard format of the show.

There’s the occasional lull but generally it stays very funny for a long time. The 3-8 seasons are probably their peak, so you have several great seasons to go. Maybe a bit of a dropoff after that.

Canceled? Didn’t realize that. I thought this was one of the better shows of past couple years. Could have gone on for at least another year or so.

HBO is blaming the writers strike and ratings but they’ve been killing things left and right for a while now. Supposedly they had them film an alternate ending all the way back in January because HBO was already thinking about cancelling it back then.

that sucks for sure. I really enjoyed the whole feel and story. Plus they nailed Magic in the casting. That guy was great and a perfect match. Kareem was good too and Bird's basketball shots were a perfect match as well. Just tremendous.

Yep. I struggle to think of a show or movie based on games we watched and players we all know that did it better.

The casting was superb. Even Adrian Brody, as Riley, which I questioned at first turned out to be perfect. I’m so surprised this show isn’t continuing.

I was intrigued by it, but did not make it beyond Episode 1. Actors and story were fine, but the editing was some of the most unnecessarily and distractingly excessive that I’ve seen since Bohemian Rhapsody (or maybe Elvis, which similarly hated the editing on).

This must be a new style. I’ve heard other people criticize other recent shows saying the same thing. Personally I don’t notice it, to the point of not being distracted by it at least.

Obviously it would depend on each viewer to decide on that.

Definitely up to personal preference. I’ve seen people online saying that the editing was one of their favorite parts of the show. I’m just more of a long take kind of guy.

Both he and the guy that played Jerry West were very good.
