My Brilliant Friend with a hall of fame tv episode the other night. Only one episode left in the series, going to miss it very much. As good as tv gets.

Do you think we will find out what happened to Lila in the 1st episode of the series, or was that just a plot device to set up why Lenu wrote the story of their friendship?

I’m pretty sure we do, yea. Funny I just watched that scene again last night to be refreshed on it.

I did the same a week or two ago since we were approaching the finale.

Not spoiling anything here (bc I have no idea how it ends) but book readers on Reddit say the ending is fantastic, no reason to think it won’t be.

Other than the fact that it’s genuinely really hard to successfully end a good tv show?

Yea the writer of the book (who apparently nobody knows who she really is!) also is one of the main writers for the show. Which is odd because how did she do that if nobody knows her and I have no answers. Elena Ferrante is a pseudonym.

Glad it wrapped up and didn't just keep going on, TWD style rinse repeat.

Much better than I expected. Interesting mix of historical and fictional characters, and also interesting to see that little bit of history (fictionalized). Well written, acted and art directed- the world building was pretty great., as were the battle scenes off and especially on the water.

That is completely ridiculous. I subscribe to Netflix, Prime, and whatever gets premier league any given season.

Everything else gets watched on Stremio. The streaming options are out of control and I gave them all my middle finger a while ago.

It just determines my level of commitment to the show. If it's as good as everyone says then I'll power through the slow times. If it's ****, I'll bail. Subtitles just require some extra work.

Yeah, I went to try watching the newest episode of Yellowstone last night, and couldn't figure out where to watch it. Paramount Plus has it to rent/buy. Peacock will have the entire season available once it's done. Ended up getting annoyed and watching something else.

Then, this afternoon, I'm clearing out my DVR on Fubo, and low and behold.... What do I find? Season 5 Ep 9 of Yellowstone. Apparently, I'm recording all new episodes there. That said, I'm still not entirely sure what channel it's on... I thought I read CBS, the DVR says "MTV," and another place on Fubo shows CMT. This crap is making me feel like one of those "old" people who struggles with basic technology.

Enjoyed Disclaimer - both from the actual story to how it was presented/acted. Could have added one more episode throughout the series to allow more time to flesh out a few of the loose ends, but overall a good show.

Just started You Would Do it Too - Spanish show on AppleTV - its intriguing, basic plot after a couple of episodes - a guy shoots/kills 3 would-be robbers on a bus, the victims/witnesses frustrate police by not helping to identify the shooter.

Not entirely clear whether the shooter was an innocent bystander/hero - or was part of a more sinister plot.

Finished Mad Men. Amazing show that I thought ended great. The last season is my favorite. It's hard for me to rank this series with others. It's not very bingeable as you're rarely left on the edge of your seat at the end of an episode, but it might be unmatched in terms of writing, character development, and atmosphere.

Moving on to a rewatch of the X Files. Have not watched any of this since it first aired so I'm excited. I will probably only watch up until Mulder leaves or the end of the alien arc. We'll see.

Mad Men is an all timer for sure.

Right until the second to last scene Penguin was not a “good guy” but a great anti-hero type. But yeah that hurt.
The season is probably my favorite in the comic genre since Loki and might be top 10 overall.
Is it just me or was the signal less than clear and kind of looks like an L? I guess it looks more realistic like that.

So geeked for this, didn't even know there was another season coming. Loved season one, took me by surprise. Never played the game so went in ignorant and was blown away. The depth of emotion tied to a good story and fabulous steam punk animation makes for a great watch.

Watched the first three episodes of Day of the Jackal last night. Other than some really stupid plot devices, it's entertaining. Looking forward to the next two, then have to wait for the rest to be released.
