Coming in January: http://decider.com/2014/12/15/new-on-netflix-january/

Weak list, but excited to see season 2 of The Fall.
i loved that show. i'm thrilled that it is back for another season.
Ditto. I didn't think it was going to be back until late next year.
Loved the first season and have been anxiously awaiting the second. I think I read a review somewhere that was a bit critical of the 2nd season, but I am anxious to see for myself as soon as it's available.

While I was a little disappointed in how season one ended, I'm looking forward to the show coming back.

I've only seen the 1st episode but it was pretty solid.

Check out Wallander

In a picturesque and once-peaceful province of southern Sweden, disillusioned police inspector Kurt Wallander probes a shocking spate of baffling murders whose victims include a cab driver, an elderly couple and a bird watcher.
Seconded. Based on a series of books by Swedish author Henning Mankell.
Surprised not much more on this show

Watched both Wallanders on Netflix.

Both very good.

If you enjoy the cop dramas they are good and worth the time investment

One is a UK version the other is a Swedish version but they both take place in Sweden

The swedish verion on netflix only has S2 and S3 (looks like S1 might be on Amazon? didn't watch that one)

The UK version has all 3 seasons.

either way good TV.

i did a season of the swedish original. i liked it but wasn't bowled over by it. too much good stuff to settle on meh product.

Season 2 pick up with the same killer?

Judging by the trailer, yes. I wonder if they'll introduce another storyline too. I'm not sure if wrapping that one up is enough for the whole season.

Any TV Comedy recommendations? Some of my favourite recent shows are Parks & Rec, Community, Silicon Valley, Bob's Burgers, Archer. Also have seen all of American Dad, Brooklyn 99, Last week Tonight, South Park, Nurse Jackie, HIMYM, Moden Family, Family Guy, The Office, Peep Show, Louie, Veep, The League, etc... seems like there's tons of good new dramas added but not so much for comedy (I know this is true for TV in general as well).

Right now I'm considering Bojack Horseman and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

I will probably rematch at least the final episode of season 1. It's been a while and I don't remember much about how they left it.

You're the Worst was fantastic on FX this summer/fall. Not sure if it's out on Netflix or anything though.

Always Sunny. Must see.

Missed Archer originally.

Powerwatched the women in prison dramedy 'Orange is the new black' and its pretty good (and much better than I thought it would be). Well worth a watch.

Saw the first three episodes of the Australian women in prison show 'Wentworth' and bailed. Everyone is trying real hard, but ultimately it's just not very good.

Liked the first episode of Peaky Blinders (think Irish Boardwalk Empire), but my wife isn't interested. Moving forward solo on that one.

First episode of 'Black Mirror' was interesting. Don't know if I necessarily liked it, but it was different than anything I'm watching currently. That buys my interest for at least another episode.

"The United States v. Whitey Bulger" is a great watch.

I don't know who was more cold blooded; the FBI, the prosecution, the defense team, or Whitey himself.

The interviews with victim family members were sometimes pretty intense.
I concur. I was looking for something to casually pass the time before football on Sunday with the intent of turning it off if it didn't grab my attention. Ended up enjoying it quite a bit.
I felt it kind of dragged a bit and was left hanging about what happened to the guy that was shook down by Whitey at the beginning of the film. Died a mysterious death...what really happened to him?
Supposedly killed by his then current business partner - cyanide.
This is the stuff that only happens in the movies. Yet it is happening in 2014. Crazy.....

Based on this enthusiasm ITT I've chosen this over Hannibal as my next show to catch up on over Christmas.

I hope you fellas don't let me down.
Four episodes in and I'm liking it a lot. It's interesting to have the perspective of the killer that the show gives.

The One I Love - with Mark Duplass, Elizabeth Moss and Ted Danson. (There are some people in a diner in one shot but these 3 (or 5) are all that are in the movie.

What a trip. Starts as a love story of a couple rekindling their marriage and goes in a way different direction. Well worth the watch

You are considering Always Sunny? Always Sunny is miles funnier than any of those shows listed. I would call it the depraved version of Seinfeld. That is what you need to watch next.

One of the first description s I heard was Seinfeld on crack an I thought that was accurate.

I would do Bojack Horseman first because it is a quick watch. Easy to do in 3 sittings since its only 10 episodes, and they connect in a way that you'll want to binge watch them.

Let the wife select a movie for once ;)

Ended up watching "In Your Eyes" .. Which looks like it was a "On demand" instant release and never hit the theaters.

Quirky, Romantic Drama that in the end works.. The ending seems rushed, but overall a worthwhile "chick flick"

Watched In Your Eyes and The One I Love (mentioned by someone in this thread) over the weekend and enjoyed them both, but preferred The One I Love.

Broadchurch was a good whodoneit mystery type of show.

I'm a sucker for euro shows especially with nice scenery.
This one moves very fast with some good acting and you can breeze through the 1st series in a week....or couple of days

try "hinterland". it's a detective series from BBC shot in Wales. it's solid on all counts.

Did that last week. Meant to comment on it. Liked it as well. Like I said...a sucker. I'm on Salamander now.
