If you like "Top Chef" then "The Great British Baking Show" is pretty good. Bunch of random Brits baking stuff, one person eliminated each week.

we tried a bit of TGBBS and found it lacking. there's just not much in the way of drama, tension or humor to it. i like that they're all pretty much amateurs and seem like decent people but it is mostly a snooze.
we watched "nailed it" for the first time and wasn't smitten. it feels like a Food Network reject somehow.
Highly recommend "Ugly Delicious" for folks that are foodies.

I haven’t decided how I feel about it yet. I tend to like dystopian stuff that makes me think about how quickly society would break down. But this was weird.
Forest Whitaker made it worthwhile for me.

I occasionally go back and watch Freaks and Geeks, as it is one of my all time favorites. While not on Netflix, A&E aired a documentary on the show. Any other fans of the show are recommended to catch it when it inevitably runs again.

Freaks and Geeks is one of the best. Watched it again a year ago and it was just as good as I remembered. Another show from that era that I loved was Sports Night. I wonder if that stands the test of time like F&G?
Finished an Aussie political thriller called Secret City over the weekend. Quite enjoyed it. Really odd to watch foreign takes on such topics, think it was episode 4 before first gunshot. Also, it stars Anna Torv of Fringe fame

Watched Battle Beyond the Stars on prime...1980 sci-fi with John Boy Walton, George Peppard, Robert Vaughn and John Saxon. Was very entertaining. Had a nice score by James Horner. Definitely a hidden gem for those that like older sci-fi

Yes, I remember seeing this late at night one night as a young kid. I remember it being confusing and cheesy, but have since heard a lot of people got their start there. Will definitely have to watch it again.

Just started it. Wow, this is pretty good.
Indian series about the Indian mafia. The 1st episode was so-so and took a little to get through but it's been solid since then. 5/8 episodes down so far and thoroughly enjoying it.

Australia has some pretty enjoyable political thrillers going on. After Secret City, Netflix suggested The Code. Entertained throughout and now gonna fire up Terrarium TV to find the second season

watched that maybe a year ago. it's good if not especially memorable.
finished S2 of "the handmaid's tale" and mostly enjoyed it. it's not to the level of S1 but still light years ahead of most stuff out there. most annoying part of the show is how they try to be a little too cute with the songs at the end of some episodes. a little too on the nose for my liking.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one. My wife always wants to jump right in to the next season, but after we binged the entire run of a great show I loved then felt disappointed when it was over, I prefer to take a break between seasons to make it last longer.

Well we're probably different in that we don't binge. It took us over a month to watch the 10 episode season. I assumed people who binge, blast through all the seasons in a row.

Watched the entire most recent season and found it to be fairly weak. Didn't need to see Brian Regan a second time and Kate McKinnon was trying way too hard in her episode.
Zach G, Baldwin, Chapelle and Tracey Morgan were the highlights for me.
I always thought in the "Seinfeld" creative team, Larry David was the miserable SOB and Jerry was the nice guy. The more I watch this show, the more I find Jerry to be the cranky, old curmudgeon.
