What should my next stand up specials be? There are so many to pick from.

I have watched Jeffries, Ellen, Rogan, Burr, Oswalt, Gaffigan, Jeselnik and Katt

Looking at: Jo Koy, Hart, Gervais, Birbiglia, Hannibal, Devine, Bargatze

My historical favorites are Gaffigan, Black and CK
If Brian Regan is still on there, he'd be my top recommendation.  He's brilliant.

Bargatze easily.

Jo Koy is also good but is probably funnier for Asians than others.

ETA -- Consider Sebastian Maniscalco as well.

With CK as a favorite, I think you’ll love Tom Segura

Have you watched Dave Chapelle's stuff? He put out a couple about a year ago.

I enjoyed both Bert Kreischer specials, thought he was funny as ####.

Have you seen his appearances on Seinfeld's "Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee"? If so, is that representative of his act? Because I  wasn't impressed with him in Comedians.

Euphoria is ridiculous but might be the most entertaining show going right now.

The last carnival episode was stunning.

Make sure your kids are not watching this.

Agreed, I enjoyed it very much. I had to turn the volume up but the Dan Greenblatt stuff was hilarious.
Yeah I watched it on a flight and laughed out loud a few times. The stuff with his girlfriend was killing me.

Parts that weren’t funny were still interesting.

You can tell that the having to deal with all the stuff he had the past year has influenced him a bunch.

Not sure if these have been mentioned or not of late....

Dark (season 2) - I liked season 1, I loved season 2.  Binged this one in just a few days.  I really like how they are able to answer some questions/close some loops and then bring another wrinkle into the equation having you want to learn more.  Everything interweaves with each other so nicely.  Sure, I have some questions and am partially confused on some time lines, but it seems when I have questions they get answered or addressed further on down the road. And they do a pretty good job how the mannerisms of characters along different time lines match so you really feel like it's the same character at a different age.  I dunno, but it just really clicks for me.  Mild spoiler but the very last scene of season two opened a wtf moment which I didn't really like.  But, I read there will be a final season #3 and I trust that will tie everything up and give a natural conclusion to things.  I trust that and look forward to it.
I'm 4 or 5 in... feels more dense than last year, but in a good way. been a struggle trying to keep up with who's/who/when, but I'm definitely enjoying it... especially since I'm not watching it dubbed this season. agree that it seems to provide answers or explanations along the way. I've enjoyed the casting too- while the women, young and old, are sneaky pretty... they're not all "good looking actors" types. even the middle-older aged women get to look and act their age instead of being played by 30-somethings as they would be in the US. very interested in seeing where it goes.
I guess I was farther along...wrapped it up last night.

What was the wtf moment?

when Adam pulled the trigger? Or him admitting to wanting to eliminate everybody (I think he said that)? Didn't mind the gun, given the explanation...even if it's hard to know if Adam actually has the answers or is still trying to find them. The elimination...I assumed was to fulfill the plan of making everything right and reset- not endgame.

I'm a fan but can see how some wouldn't get his humour. Just like any comedian.  Good clean humour.

I was disappointed in his appearance on CiCGC. It was pretty flat. He seemed to be following Jerry's lead the entire time.

the new Aziz Ansari stand up Right Now. I'm a fan of his but this was just terrible.

He spent 60% of the show whispering into the microphone.

Aziz Ansani: Right Now

Very funny.
i agree that the volume issues were annoying and i don't know if i think it was hilarious, but i did think that it was funny and interesting.

loved the pizza hut bit.

seems like anyone who likes master of none would dig this. (buddyball2k3 excluded, apparently)

John Mulaney has probably been my favorite stand up to watch recently.   Obviously comedy is subjective and I could see how he might not appeal to some, but I thought it stood out in comparison to a lot of what I've seen in the recent past.

Started watching the Confession Tapes series.  Recommended after watching When They See Us.  I find it entertaining and thought provoking.  Like Dateline murder whodunnits without all the commercial breaks, here's what's coming next, and here's what just happened filler.

Watching Trollhunters. Created by Guillermo del Toro and Anton Yelchin's last role.

not bad so far
my boy enjoys this show quite a bit. we're onto Tales of Arcadia which has the most excellent vocal talents of Nick Offerman.

Just got to the end of S1 last night.  Great first season.  I am not debating on going on vs. what I did with GOT and read the books first before going with more of the show.

I'm 6 or 7 into s2- might have gotten better.

Eta... It says "not" but can't tell if you meant "now". You debating reading first or not reading first?
Like @ConnSKINS26 said it only keeps getting better.

I thought S1 was good but then S2 was even better.  And then I thought that was good but S3 was even better still.

Can't wait to see what's coming next.

Episode 1 of When They See Us.  I don’t like to think my emotions are easily manipulated, but I have not been this angry watching tv or a movie in as long as I can remember.

Mulaney's stand up was a lot of fun for me four years ago; I wonder if that would still be the case. He strikes me as a heady observer, so I think it would be.

Just watched because of this and really enjoyed. Saw his first 2 stand ups on Netflix, one more to go.

Good recommendation.

I assume when new Martha comes and he asks her what time she is from and she says not what time, what world or something like that

I’ve been watching some Bojack Horseman. I just watched the season 3 underwater episode, “Fish Out of Water.” That is one of the best episodes of any TV show that I’ve watched in awhile — almost like a cartoon version of Chaplin’s The Kid.

We watched the 1st ep. Not sure I have the energy to watch self destructive kids acting idiotically. But it's filmed well...and to quote floppinho (unrelated- no way he gets to watch this until he's in his 40s), "big boobies"

It is a bit uncomfortable when you think about it.  Watching high school characters get it on constantly.  Hard to argue they are not going for titillation as well.

I'm surprised the show has not become a thing yet.  Like the movie Kids on phentanol.

Once this show hits the radar of actual teeneagers I think it is going to get a lot of attention.

Bojack was finally nominated for the best animated series Emmy this year. No voice actor nominations, though, which is ridiculous.

I have no issue with the series except the casting (and as a consequence the expanded role) of Bobbie Draper

good call- bizarrely miscast and distractingly below the level of the other actors. I thought maybe she was a famous person in some other medium- like sports

Anyone else The Last Czars?  They seem to have both a narrator, and they do breaks for historians to interject information.  Does this trend continue?

good question.  i started this because i was interested (and partly because i thought it the lead actor might be steve carell), but turned it off after 10 minutes because of that stupid narration.  the acting and writing seemed good so i have no idea why they did it that way.

Was hoping for a Russian version of The Crown.  So far have been disappointed, but it has been educational - I'll give it that.
