Any idea if it's a continuation of Gomorra, another Italian show from a movie about Naples mafia (iirc the last season spends time in Rome)?Ok, so I started watching another Italian show that I mentioned earlier.
Holy cow, so far this is one of the best shows I've watched in a long time.
I HIGHLY recommend giving Suburra: Blood on Rome a try. 3 episodes in and completely hooked.
I don't believe so. I still want to watch Gomorrah.Any idea if it's a continuation of Gomorra, another Italian show from a movie about Naples mafia (iirc the last season spends time in Rome)?
Nice. That and Dark will help with the nothing new problem. I enjoyed the first season. I think they did a good job and not making it exactly like the movie so they could turn it into a show.Hanna Season 2 is on Prime July 3.
Finished the who season. Went in with high expectations, having not read any reviews. Obviously disappointed. It definitely had a few moments, but was not consistently funny.Just started watching Space Force. Had huge expectations (I'm a big fan of The Office and pretty much the entire cast of this thing) but the reviews obviously tempered that.
Can't say I laughed once the entire first episode. 2nd episode wasn't much better until the scene with the chimp (which did give me a few chuckles)
I'll keep going with it, but its pretty disappointing so far. RIP Fred Willard.
Started this last night. WOW. Most of the jokes and comments would not be allowed today. Although I love the game footage used is actually of USFL teams.Gone back for some nostalgia and watching season one of 1st and Ten. Go Bulls.
I'm up to the beginning of season 5.Started this last night. WOW. Most of the jokes and comments would not be allowed today. Although I love the game footage used is actually of USFL teams.
Some of the actors though: Delta Burke, Tony Longo, Tiny Liston
Some Shannon Tweed, Donald Gibb (OGRE!)I'm up to the beginning of season 5.
its terrible. i stopped somewhere in episode 2. my wife hated it and could take no moreJust started watching Space Force. Had huge expectations (I'm a big fan of The Office and pretty much the entire cast of this thing) but the reviews obviously tempered that.

I liked this one...not perfect, but no bag needed imo.Wife and I are watching Colony on Netflix. C level at best USA network alien thriller. LOVE IT.![]()
The series starts on Sunday. It seems like the premise is loyal to Gardner's source material regarding time period, and atmosphere.Matthew Rhys from the Americans going to be on HBO version of Perry Mason next month. Playing him before he was a lawyer I believe - I think as a PI?
Great show...Decent amount of discussion in this thread. Most Prefer the subtitles over the dubbing (not me).Started watching Dark on Netflix. I really like it. It has a sci-fi/horror feel to it. Only issue is it’s set in Germany and they dub the English over the actors talking. Doesn’t bother me though. I am still on season one but it looks like they are releasing season three soon.
With John Lithgow and Tatyana Maslany from Orphan Black...I'm in!The series starts on Sunday. It seems like the premise is loyal to Gardner's source material regarding time period, and atmosphere.
Finished season 1 last nite (not sure why it took me so long to get back to it). It’s great!Narcos, Mexico: season 2: this entire Narcos franchise is pure gold. Watch any and all of them, you can thank me later.
Man, can't quit this show. So, so good.Ok, so I started watching another Italian show that I mentioned earlier.

will definitely be diving in... thanks for the recgianmarco said:Man, can't quit this show. So, so good.
it's not bad. it just isn't that good... especially given the people involved. every episode feels like they held back from going for it... and feels like it tries too hard to make carrel's character a "good guy" (which goes for the overall tone of the show too) instead of just letting a funny idea completely loose and making it as absurd as it should be. this would work better without any attempts at heart-warming plot or writing. feel like the chimp ep was as close as it got.jamny said:3 episodes in on Space Force. good description. turns out a gb from college is one of the exec producers and writers for this... he's had a amazing run prior, so hopefully this doesn't dim his future prospects.
check the thread for it. I just started it too... binged the hell out of S6 and am now watching it on the History channel.we're watching Alone on Amazon Prime.
kind of interesting for some reason.
i'm only a couple episodes in to season 2. seems like someone might diecheck the thread for it. I just started it too... binged the hell out of S6 and am now watching it on the History channel.
"for some reason"?... maybe because it's amazing watching people survive in the wild? appeals to a lot of what I like about post-apoc shows/movies.. except it's a reality show of the utmost- no producers or directors telling the people what to do or say (aside from how the show edits things)... just man/woman against the wild and themselves.
My just turned 13yo son is addicted.Started watching The Order on Netflix the other day. Already up to episode 8. It's a little cheesy but the episodes have kept my attention and trying to figure out what will happen next. About a guy that goes off to college and joins a secret society to "avenge" his moms death. Good looking cast, some funny moments, some suspenseful moments, overall the 45-50 minute episodes go by fast.

Finished it over the weekend. Got to the end and thought "thats it?". I'm not sure "its not bad". But you are right, it isnt that good either. So much wasted talent. I hate when shows deliberately make people around the main characters into forced drama or, not sure how to explain it. But the media manager and the 1 star general who was the receptionist, neither needed to be as blatantly bad as they were. They could have done what they were intended for with more humor or depth, instead they were just there to get in the way.it's not bad. it just isn't that good... especially given the people involved. every episode feels like they held back from going for it... and feels like it tries too hard to make carrel's character a "good guy" (which goes for the overall tone of the show too) instead of just letting a funny idea completely loose and making it as absurd as it should be. this would work better without any attempts at heart-warming plot or writing. feel like the chimp ep was as close as it got.

One of my favorite shows on Netflix right now. Bill Burr is a funny mother####er.Just finished Season 4 of F is for Family on Netflix. Really enjoyed this season. Has some typical cartoon silliness, but at it's core is a very raw/real family drama with enough comedy to keep it from going over the top. Bill Burr is aces.
Watch it with subtitles and German dialog. That's how I did it.skillz said:Started watching Dark on Netflix. I really like it. It has a sci-fi/horror feel to it. I keep meaning to start this, then something else pops up.Thanks for the Shameless recommendations. Made it through Season 4 in a little over a week. This show is great and was exactly what I was looking for.
My wife really wanted try this, and I enjoyed criticizing the entire first episode, which ruined it for her. LOL.The Floor is Lava - Fantastic. I mean - its sort of dumb. But its REALLY funny. And there is little that is more entertaining than watching someone's face smack off a fake rock as they fall.
Highly entertaining show.
That's the Meth Diet for ya.Can't believe how much weight Rick's son and Chumlee lost over the past few years.
Right, but that’s half the fun. I love how they slow mo the faces hitting the hard surfaces. Some of the people are absolutely awful. Hey, rather than help the lady teacher who got my scaredy-cat ### across something, I’m going to go to the next thing. All he had to do was get her foot on the thing he was on and she could stand on both and not impede him. Multiple times people took the bridge across and then didn’t even bother to hold it so the next person could come over. A whole lot of stupid, but fun to watch them mess up. Also, do they let people drown or suck them out through the bottom? I’m sure it’s editing but I love how they go down and never seem to come up. That liquid appears to be hot from some of the reactions. My wife really wanted try this, and I enjoyed criticizing the entire first episode, which ruined it for her. LOL.
I feel like they pick the dumbest teams of all time to be on this, with each group worst than the last.
I think S2 is good but maybe a step down from S1. S3 kind of a bore, although I was probably on my phone half the time and not fully engagedIs killing Eve Worth watching after season 1?

On #2, amazing. He was useless and got to the end only because of her. You know she does everything for him at school too and he probably is as self centered as he is on the show. It’s fascinating how in a game setting you can get a handle on their real life persona. You hit on all the good stuff here.
1) Watching faces hit the hard surfaces is the best. So much fun to watch.
2) I couldn't BELIEVE that dude didn't grab her leg. After all she had done for him.
3) Where do they go???
