Saw it in theater. Enjoyed it. I'm sure there is stuff to nitpick but I enjoy everyone in the cast so it was a fun ride.

Watched season 1 of Exit, which is "A dark drama series based on true stories from Norway's financial scene", and had to take a break. There's too much control, degradation, brutalization of anyone lesser than this group of 4 friends who've had fantastic business success to the point they don't really have to work and just spend most of their time indulging themselves. "Anyone lesser than this group" includes spouses, and there are some real evil maneuvers going on in that regard.
I'll wait awhile before watching season 2. Right now it's like 2 of the main characters are in between Mr. Potter from It's a Wonderful Life and Frank Booth from Blue Velvet.

Finished it last night. Was kind of corny but was decent enough to watch. This one I felt would have been better watching slower. There were so many misdirections that it made it a bit silly to watch quickly. Each episode did a good job of having a good cliffhanger so waiting a week would have added to it a bit but we were bored so powered through them.
I thought the ending was ok, saw some other folks not like that part.

I voluntarily allowed myself to have the ending spoiled for me after reading a few different reviews that all said it was a big let-down. After learning how it ended, I was glad that I didn't start the series. I hate stuff like that.
My wife and daughter both enjoyed it though.
This is a very hit and miss show. Some of the episodes were painful and others were ok. It really hinges on if the guest is any good at improv. I gave up after a few shows but a show with Bateman and Rudolph might get me back in.

My biggest take away is that Joel Kennaman as Det. Holder is just amazing! And Mireille Enos as Det. Linden has the "dark and brooding" part completely covered!

Finally finished all 4 seasons of The Killing.
I'm really glad I went back and re-watched it: I had forgotten a lot of the details.
Seasons 1 & 2: It was interesting to watch the fall out of the family of the victim. The only problem I have with programs like this is that over the course of a single season they seem to chase 7 or 8 suspects. One after another with more intensity and aggression with each passing suspect.
Sesaons 3 was by far my favorite. Very dark, and intense. Not a lot of false leads being chased and only a couple of suspects. The only downside as it rolled into Season 4, the case from S3 wrapped up too easily.
Season 4 - the Cadets - I lost interest in the story line, but loved the Linden and Holder characters so much, I pushed through.
The Holder character is one of my all-time favorite police drama characters.

I'm late to this, but I started Alice in Borderland last night. I'm only two episodes in, but I am really liking it so far. It's not exactly Squid Game, but it's got an awful lot in common with Squid Game. Nearly everybody in Tokyo disappears for some (as of now) unexplained reason, and the people who are left are forced to play little games that result in a bunch of them being killed off. It doesn't take itself too seriously, which is a big plus in my book for this type of thing. If you can handle some really terrible dubbing, it's worth checking out.

Just finished over the holiday weekend:
The English - Entertaining western with good action scenes and some cool villains. It's like a cross between a spaghetti western and a graphic novel (e.g. Sin City). The non-linear storyline really didn't seem necessary and I think I'd have liked it better if the story and character motivations were revealed earlier instead of being revealed in like episode 3 or 4 or whatever it was. 7.2/10.
The Banshees of [impossible to spell and pronounce Irish town] - Brilliant acting (Ferrell is phenomenal in his role) and well-told story. Some pretty funny moments, too (the scene of Colm in the confessional was hysterical and totally something one could see two stubborn Irishmen doing in a small Irish town) in what is otherwise a depressing story. 7.8/10
Burnt - Cooking/food porn movie with Bradley Cooper. There really are seeds here for a good movie, but it goes off the rails at several points and just falls pretty flat. Also, it's hard watching this after seeing the series "The Bear" do what Burnt tried do so but do it sooo much better. 4.5/10

Slow Horses is decent enough. I liked season 1 and am most of the way through season 2. It's not awesome or anything, but fairly solid.

Currently watching the Swedish series Springfloden (Spring Floods), (Swedish with subtitles), 2 seasons, 10 episodes each, about 45 min./episode, and I'm at S01 E06. Interesting series, involving a college student preparing for police work studying an unsolved murder case from years ago and then getting very engrossed in it. Julia Ragnarsson is the college student and does a decent job in the role and is impossible to look away from when she's on camera. Other characters are fleshed out well enough to be believable. And as usual in Scandanavian series big business is involved in a bad way. At this point it's both interesting and enjoyable.

I've read a few reviews from people here on Slow Horses that are not favorable. I thought season 1 was pretty good. I think what I've seen of Season 2 (which is all of the available episodes) is better.
Gary Oldman is great.

This has been really fun. My favorite character is Janus Ferber, the lawyer for the rogue team. Every scene with him cracks me up. #AmbienSandwhich

Loved this movie. One of my favorites and I thought very creative at the time. It's a good rewatch as well. Highly recommend.

Big fan of Slow Horses, thought season 1 was great and season 2 is just carrying on.
Finished Glass Onion today, liked it, fun watch. Also just finished Jack Ryan, again, liked it. Not sure what you all are looking for but all of these are solid shows.
