Stupid Lockout is affecting FF Leagues (1 Viewer)

The local league I play at here in SLC, UT is being shut down, the commish just said he puts too much time into Fantasy Football and needed a break. But I believe that he is stepping away because of the lockout. If there was no lockout right now people would already be giddy about another year of Fantasy Football.

Not only does the lock out effect the NFL in general now it is effecting Fantasy Football - unbelievable. Any good CFL or NCAA FF leagues??? That might be where the fun is at this year. If you could come up with a good NCAA Football Fantasy setup you could really market that this year and could have potential to go somewhere.

Doubtful the lockout's the reason this time of year.

People just need a break sometimes. Being commissioner is a hassle -- especially if you're not using something like LeagueSafe (with a payment deadline). I quit being commissioner of my local several years back (before LeagueSafe) after having to hound people for payments. Took a lot of fun out of it.

My longest running league has always had lots of activity on the league forum in the offseason. This year though it's been dead there, to the point where most of the league actually didn't even show up for the rookie draft and I've had to personally email/call people to try and get them back to the site.
