Always a good idea. I grabbed both because going with only a 1 point guy as a reserve TE made me nervous. If Watson goes down, 3/4 of the contest is screwed. With both, I should have pretty solid production all year long at TE, without spending TOO much.

I originally had McMichael and LJ, but traded McMichael in for Watson and used the extra dollar to upgrade at WR. Might have been a bad move but this is my first year in a survivor. Plus the WR I upgraded to keeps my top 5 WRs on different bye weeks, with only 6 and 7 on the same week.

I'd agree that you shouldn't pass on a player solely because he is popular. I think it's dangerous to take one popular pick after another, but I don't think one pick will hurt. I agree. But generally speaking I think you want to be different.That being said, I drafted the Warner/Leinart combo with everybody else and their mom and I don't regret it...of course not too many have the Warner/Leftwich combo so I'm happy about that.

Right but I'm talking about the early weeks where more people get through. The 2% would definitely make it, but so would most of the Watson owners even if he tanked solely based on the fact that most people have him. The people who take someone other than Watson might see more benefit in the finals, but I'd be worried about even making it that far.

I didn't pick a team to beat the majority of people, I picked an all or nothing team.I wouldn't be surprised if most people beat me in this particular competition, because I took on a high risk/high reward strategy with players like warner/lefty/maroney/c. brown/t. jones/m. jones/galloway etc. etc.

Alot of people took Rudi (myself included) I guess no one is overly concerned about his lack of receptions in this format?

I just wanted safe/steady/cheap RB production...that's why I took Rudi. I don't think many people took him though.
