I don't think the cut will necessarily be very high. There are only so many LT, LJ, Brees, Manning, and Wayne owners out there. Looking around, it's unlikely that a lot of teams own today's big performers. A lot of the Lundy, Droughns, M. Bell, Ahman, J. Horn, C. Johnson, and C. Henry owners already bit the dust because those guys have not been consistent. Colston had a big day, but was he even available in this contest? If so, I'm sure the percentage of owners who selected him is miniscule. Likewise, guys like Greg Jennings, Cadillac Williams, Tiki Barber, Reggie Bush, Laveranues Coles, LaMont Jordan, Anquan Boldin, and Deuce McAllister had less than stellar days.
I tend to agree with this a bit. LJ had such a poor start, I didn't think there would be many LJ owners left.

If Delhomme does not do much tonight, he'll affect the cut quite a bit. 30.7% own him. With Sims and Kitna being rounding out the top 3 QB's ownership wise, he may need a TD pass or two to raise the cut into the 120 range.

I am still in and a happy LJ owner.

In slightly better shape than I thought, but I'm seriously going to be sweating this one out

105.4

with T Taylor and Gabriel trying to replace 6.3 and 4.2

and

Watson trying to replace Scheffler's miraculous 9.4

and

Minnesota trying to replace Cincy's woeful 2.

Surprised there haven't been 30 "what's the cut line" posts, since after all it has been a whole 10 minutes since the game ended ;)

-QG (seriously fearing the turk this week)

Currently at 122.3 with T. Williamson (-4.1 or -1.4) and D. Gabriel (-4.1 or -1.4). Should be enough to last another week and all my bye weeks are over.

I hear the Turk coming. 109.75 by my calculations, with Ben Watson (-1.3) and the New England D (-0) yet to go. Unless Troy Williamson is miraculously healed by gametime, the axe may fall. If not for the monstrous performance by Reggie Wayne, I'd be all out of it.

Looks like I might make it through around 115 with Watson (-3.0). Plummer was my only QB this week and the only player I haven't used all season, glad he decided to show up this week.

I definitley advanced behind Peyton Manning, Fred Taylor, Rudi Johnson, and the Chicago Bears' defense but man, my WRs are going to be the death of me soon:

TJ Housh (my lone consistent performer)

Rod Smith

Derrick Mason

Amani Toomer

Troy Williamson

Travis Taylor

Brandon Stokley

Thanks to P Manning, LT2 and R Wayne :

164.5 + T Williamson (-8.9), B Watson (-3.0) and N England (0)

I'll see you next week.

People wrongly assume that because there were many high scoring athletes that there will be high scores here. Thing is, percentage-wise, people are not going to own all these top guys on any kind of level...
One example:At the start of the contest, there were 31 entries with both LJ and LT. Only 5 of those entries were still alive to enjoy their huge numbers this week. Not that those two guys were the only ones to have big weeks, but it's an example that demonstrates the general point you were making.Still, there were some people with huge weeks. 62 live entries have LT-or-LJ and Reggie Wayne. Three of those entries have Vick to go along with the above pair.

Just out of curiosity, what's the rest of the roster look like for these teams?

Based on rough math, sitting around 142. Vick, LT2, Fred Taylor were my high scores of the week. Sweating next week, with Delhomme, Boldin, and Akers on BYE. :bag:

121-ish. I still have Brad Johnson to go -0.

I suspect I have the worst QB situation going forward -- Johnson, Simms, and Culpepper.

So how much of a bump can we expect tonight? Two decent defenses out there. I am sitting at 106.9 with Ben Watson to go. Hopefully I can get to around 115 or so and make the cut!

117.2 + T. Williamson (-8.9).

Whew, looks like I'm around for around week. Thank you Reggie Wayne! Honorable mention to Jamal Lewis for finally showing up for the one week I needed him!

93.3 with watson (-0) and t.taylor (-0) to go.

:X

having greg jennings, chris chambers, harrison and b.edwards seemed a lot better 5 weeks ago..

Not sure how much the cut will go up, but I believe I'm sitting at 109.5 with Chester Taylor needing to beat 13.4 for more.

Rivers 14.7

M Barber 18.6

R Johnson 13.4

C Henry 19.1

Holt 9.8

K Johnson 2.9

Witten 20

Kaeding 8

Jacksonville 4

109.5

There's a few players tonight who appear on quite a few rosters. So there's some potential to increase the cut depending on how these guys do......B.Watson on 2700 rostersT.Williamson on 1600 rostersD.Gabriel on 1200 rostersGostkowski on 1000 rostersL.Maroney on 720 rostersC.Taylor on 400 rostersVikings D on 400 rostersPatriots D on 400 rosters

Wow, very similar to my team ... 122.1 with Williamson and Gabriel going as well (-3.3 or -6.3)

After reading this post, I just realized we only count certain players, not all of our players. So THAT's why some of our scores are in red... :wall:

The last four weeks really turn this game on its head. I've got a pretty good team (will make the cut again this week) built mostly from value plays, but no pre-draft superstars:

Bulger, Vick (Brooks)

Gore, Taylor, Foster, Benson (Brown)

Roy Williams, Javon Walker, Antonio Bryant, Doug Gabriel, Chris Henry, Michael Clayton (Bradford)

Watson, Troupe

QB has been a gold mine for me, and one or two guys at RB and WR have done well enough each week to get me through. By stacking the team with guys who will put up decent #s, I've been fairly consistent.

But if I make a couple more cuts, I don't think this team of value picks has a shot of being a top points getter across four games. The five guys owning LJ and LT will be in a great position if they can get into the shootout.

So the question is...how do you build a team that's consistent enough to get to the end AND have the horsepower to win if you get there?

Are you all calculating your own scores? I didn't see the post this week where that guy posts the scorers for guys who have played so far. Did I miss it?

Seems like everyone has Ben Watson on their team, so barring a huge night by him, it might tick up another 5-7 points.

LJ carrying me too. I doubt I'll be back next week, though.

95 with one of Wiggins/Watson (-0) and both Taylor and Williamson (-1.4) to go.

With so many people also playing Watson and Williamson, I need a big game out of Wiggins and Taylor to get to the 110 or so I figure I'll need.

Is it that difficult to calculate your own scores?

Im probably :bye:

I have ~90 with Gabriel and Williamson both needing to score more then 5pts, Watson needs more then 2 and the Pats D to be +...

Gonna be sweating this week...
