Subscriber Contest to be Unveiled by Wednesday Morning (4 Viewers)

I saw a news feed that said the skins are looking to trade fred davis. Yay skelator.
Good riddance. He's been the only dead weight on my roster for this contest. Can't complain too much since I picked up Garcon as well based on the idea that RG3 would be more in tune with both this year. 1/2 isn't horrible.

made it through week 7, but I doubt I make it past week 8. some tough bye weeks for me. I will be taking a zero from the TE spot (gates on bye, finley out).

Moving on to week 8 after a 168. With a big games from Helu (Hello!), Kerley, and Eddie Lacy. Thank you for saving my bacon! No new contributors but it looks like Weeden has joined Redman and Dwayn Allen for wasted money. Looks like an interesting week with all the injuries last week and all the byes this week. I expect another low cutoff. Hopefully this team has enough to make it through.

So far 24 out of 29 have played (82.8%).

Newton (4/7) Vick (3/7) Weeden (0/7)

Bush (5/7) D. Williams (2/7) Lacy (4/7) Helu (2/7) J. Bell (3/7) Redman (0/7) Polk (1/7)

Mi. Floyd (4/7) Hopkins (2/7) G. Tate (2/7) Hartline (3/7) Patterson (0/7) Wheaton (0/7) Kerley (2/7) K. Allen (3/7) Thompkins (3/7) J. Hunter (0/7)

Graham (5/7) D. Allen (0/7) Eifert (2/7) J. Thomas (6/7)

Zuerlein (3/7) Forbath (1/7) Gano (3/7)

Browns (1/7) Ravens (6/7)

Flex: RB 3, WR 5, TE 6

Players out for the year (or cut/benched): D. Allen, Weeden, Redman ($22/$250)

Players passed Bye week 11/29 (37.9%)

Here are roster survival rates after week 7. Enjoy!

QB - Vick has carried my team. Time to pass the baton to RG3!

RB - Wilson was obviously a waste. Helu has been my best value, besides Jilius and Thompkins, who everyone has. I dont feel too bad though...my second choice wouldve been MJD. Sproles was the way to go. Bush and Forte doing great though.

WR - Should have spent a bit more. I need Garcon, DJax and Hilton to keep me afloat. Amendola has been a huge drag.

TE - Going with Gronk was genius. I knew it was unlikely that I would get eliminated early on. With I had also gone with Gordon and Blackmon. Julius was a steal but everyone already knew that and rostered him.

K/DEF - Went with the 3 K, 2 DEF strategy. I may have issues this week on DEF...Baltimore on BYE and Washington @ DEN :( But after this week, no K or DEF BYEs!

Turns out that my BYE weeks are pretty perfectly spaced out. I did a great job there. My only concern is no longer there because Wilson's BYE no longer matters.

What I need to survive this thing to the end:

-Vick to stay healthy

-Amendola to start pulling his weight

-Wilson to contribute late in the season somehow

-Hilton to flourish in the WR1 role

-Need a strong showing this week without my best player (Forte)

Team Holloway

QB Luck $16 used 4/7 bye 8

QB Bradford $10 used 3/7 IR - really bad timing for Bradford's injury leaves me sans QB this week

RB T. Richardson $27 used 2/7 bye 8 switched mid-season

RB McCoy $27 used 6/7 bye 12 - with Richardson bye week change ONLY have McCoy, Powell and Dunbar this week

RB Forte $26 used 7/7 bye 8

RB Powell $3 used 4/7 bye 10

RB Dunbar $3 used 0/7 bye 11

WR Fitzgerald $23 used 5/7 bye 9 - really need some big scores out of WR (Fitzgerald, Blackmon, Givens, Thompkins)

WR Andre Johnson $21 used 5/7 bye 8

WR Blackmon $11 used 3/7 bye 9

WR GIvens $10 used 1/7 bye 11

WR Vincent Brown $9 used 1/7 bye 8

WR C. Patterson $8 used 1/7

WR Thompkins $2 used 3/7 bye 10

TE Witten $23 used 5/7 bye 11- Witten and J Thomas need to maintain the pace

TE Allen $9 used 0/7 OUT IR

TE J. Thomas $2 used 6/7 9

PK Hartley $4 used 2/7 bye 7

PK Hauschka $3 used 4/7 bye 12

PK Forbath $3 used 1/7

DST Ravens $4 used 2/7 bye 8

DST Lions $3 used 3/7 bye 9

DST Panthers $3 used 2/7 - could you a few picks, a sack fumble and a TD or two tonight

It is more than a challenge to survive this week and another injury would put this team in serious jeopardy even it if survives this week.

Good Luck everyone Enjoy all the banter

RB R.Bush 26

WR D.Jackson 14

WR Josh Gordon 24

TE J.Graham 19

PK Sturgis 5

112 so far, have another RB slot plus 2 flex to go...Bernard, Lacy, Rodgers, Helu, Tate basically to draw from. We'll see, have a feeling scores are gonna be down this week with the byes.

Yep...pretty sure I'm gone this week. Need AJ Green, D. Thomas. J. Thomas, and Gonzo to have outstanding 2nd halves.

Nothing from those guys this week, starting to look pretty dicey for me.

Well I've been cruising along just fine, however next week is my time.

QBs- Luck (on bye), EJ (injured)

RBs- Spiller (injured and largely ineffective, wouldn't be surprised if he sat a week), Forte (BYE), MJD (uninspiring), David Wilson (uhh...yeah...), Chris Polk. Maybe MJD will show up and carry?

WRs- Green, D. Thomas, Andre (BYE), Thompkins: need a big week from my three WRs playing.

TEs- The way I see it, these three are going to decide my fate. Witten, Gonzo, and D. Thomas.

Next year I'm definitely going with a larger roster. I missed HARD on my RBs besides Forte. If I picked better/deeper here, I think I'd have a good chance of making it to the end. Maybe I'll go with a QB with an earlier BYE next year.

Well... none of this happened. In at 96 points.

Pretty disappointed, this is my favorite part of the fantasy season. Earliest I've ever gone out and lowest point total I've ever had.

See you all next year.

Feeling pretty good about moving on, despite losing five guys to the bye week:

140.70

+
Eddie Lacy

+

Golden Tate (- 7)

+

Jared Cook (- 7.4)

+

Steven Hauschka

I need a big night from Russell Wilson as I am at 79.9. My other QB is Luck who is on a bye. I need a miracle.

Also have Golden Tate (his score will count as my other WR is a 0) and the Seahawks (-8)

WTH happened to Kenbrell Thompkins? Looks llike I need some injuries to get him back in the game.

I'm at 168 with only Lacy left. Based on the responses in this thread, I think I'll live to fight another week.

Dexter McCluster and the Cincy defense really came through for me in a week where a lot of my studs underperformed. Knowshon continues to be the saving grace of my RB group as well.

Being lucky seems to be key.

Personally speaking I went with a 21 man roster for the first time (usually 27+)

Brees and Bradford - gotta hope brees can perform the rest of the year

Spiller, d. Murray, c. Johnson. - idea was few rb high scoring...so far pretty bad group

C.Johnson, a.johnson , c. Givens, v. Brown, j.avant,l. Hankerson, k. Thompkins - same idea here. Didn't want to spend so much on calvin but he has the potential for scores others can't match

J. Graham, j. Cameron, j.Thomas - went with 3te due to flex player changes. So far so good

3k/3 def.

I like the smaller roster idea but luck on injury avoidance is key.

I am at 115.8 plus whatever Lacy gets me in the 2nd half. I have Givens (-7) and Hauschka (-5) tomorrow night. I have been averaging about 50 points above the cut, but I think I might be done. Brady, Vick and Bradford at QB.

I think if you can get to 130 this week, you should be fine.

Megatron aside, there were a lot of very subpar performances from teams highest paid players this week. Along with the byes, I'd say the cutline could be in the teens or 20s.

:hifive:

With Lacy I am in the Mid 120s, have Golden Tate going tomorrow night to hopefully fill my last flex and get me over the 130-135 barrier where I would be a lot happier.

Cutline just posted as of 9:30 p.m. ET at 109.70

10 p.m. moved to 111.80
10:30 p.m. at 115.95
11:00 p.m. at 116.70
2:30 a.m. at 118.40

Lance Moore, welcome to the Subscriber Contest. I realize that Kenny Stiles as taken most of your targets, but I am hopeful you can contribute down the stretch.

This was my tough bye week and I skated thru with a 160+. Looks like 125 could cut it this week. See you all in week 9! :football:

Unless Cook has a week 1 performance against the Seahawks or Hauschka kicks 5 fieldgoals, I am out. I need somewhere between 25-30 more points (-7 kicker, -3.5 flex). Injuries+week 8 byes+no one other than Newton stepping up=see you next year.

Ugh, out this week with barely a struggle. I've averaged better than 200 PPG until this week and now I'm out with something like 102 points scored this week. A big f' you to the Eagles players (Shady, Vick, D-Jax, looking at you) for laying an egg on my biggest bye week.

I'm out unless Golden Tate and Chris Givens each have a record-setting night.

With Forte on a bye the only RB that did anything for me was Joique Bell. Ouch.

I'm sitting on 108, but have a slugger's chance with Lynch (-0), Richardson (-1.7 flex), Rice (-8.5 WR or -1.7 flex), Cook (-7.4 TE or -1.7 Flex), Zuerlein (-9), and Seattle (-10)

My second flex is only 5.7 right now, so a chance for multiple guys to grab a flex spot tonight. I figure I might have 25-30 points in my team tonight. Lynch is averaging about 18 points, and Cook is averaging about 8 (taking out the week 1 anomaly)

Just a hunch, but I think the line will move higher than normal this week. With all of the byes/injuries, I think more of tonight's scores will count for teams this week.

Hopefully it is a low scoring game tonight, both for this and for my 2 fantasy games in the balance. I am at 123.9, I think. Forte being out kills my RBs since Wilson just plain sucks. Gronk, Julius Thomas, Kerley, Thompkins and Blackmon doing nothing didn't help. They have combined for 9 starts in the last 3 weeks and this week only Blackmon and Thomas counted for a whopping 7 and 7.4. All year, outside of my weakness at RBs, I have only had 1 score below 10 count for WR/TE/Flex, so getting 2 definitely got me my lowest total of the year by 53 points.

Lacy moves me over 130 with Golden Tate slotted for my last flex, I have others but we are talking 2-3 points, would like a few from Tate just to be safe.

Vick was a moron for playing this week. He said he was 80% going into the game and then re-popped his hamstring. I have Vick and Kaep (week 9 bye) on my subscriber contest, so he effectively screwed my entry. Where the hell was the medical staff on this one? How many times do players need to re-injure themselves before teams do the smart thing and let a player heal before going back into the fire.

CJ Spiller - Wanted to play, medical staff kept him out, likely to be healed up next week. Smart trainers.

Vick - Wanted to play, medical staff does a "whatever", now injured for another 3-6 weeks. Morons all around with the Eagles.
