Summerpalooza III: FFA Music/Fantasy Football Draft - Congrats League Champ Pip's Invitation (2 Viewers)

Funny enough it didn’t hurt that bad. The edge of the can hit me (I had no idea the can was even up there). I just shook it off and went about my business until I felt the blood dripping down the side of my head. It doesn’t even hurt much now so long as I don’t touch it.

Be lucky to get that production total over the next 5 games.
Diontae Johnson has missed time with his concussion and back and might have actually led to Washington getting Wally Pipp'd. You really can't keep Claypool out of the lineup after four touchdowns.

Oh no.  He's going to lead my comeback in this here league.  :)

Vinyl night this evening, so far:

  • Tokyo Police Club - Forcefield - purple splatter vinyl reissue that came in the mail last week
  • The Strokes - The New Abnormal (a 2020 fave)
  • Rolling Stones - Let it Bleed.
I should probably go to bed soon but as tomorrow is a holiday, I'm debating finishing off the night with Harvest or Everybody Knows This is Nowhere  (@Pip's Invitation)

I also picked up Taysom Hill (QB New Orleans) who is from Pocatello.  Nikki Sixx is from Jerome, which is about 100 miles away.  Therefore:

Mötley Crüe  -  Dr. Feelgood

I also picked up Austin Hooper (TE Cleveland).  Nine Inch Nails is from that city, so I'll let them hook me up.

Johnny Cash  -  Hurt

Ok my season is now over with Dak out for the year and the two NY QBs being garbage but before the game...
I lost Dak in another league too. Maybe you can get Dalton off the wire. In this league my QBs are fine, but the rest of my players have been injured, are inconsistent, or just plain suck. My misfits are going to have to play spoiler to better teams it looks like.

simey wait...

Did I just win because Jonnu Smith caught a touchdown on 4th and 1 up by nineteen points from the eight/seven with under two minutes to play?

Indeed. Holy smoke, that's funny. I needed that.

Don't forget from across the line of scrimmage :tinfoilhat:
Completely across. When they didn't drop the televisual blue line down indicating the line of scrimmage and then said it was unable to be determined, I kinda got all giddy and laughed about my good fortune, barring a stat correction on Thursday.

eta* Sorry, Mrs. R. I'm still tittering as I type this.

11th coming into this week.  Record low score last week, solid 'F' grade.  Amazing what having your 2 decent QB's in the lineup does for ya, amiright@?@!?

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

KP still won this week...
Draft like an alpha, and you don't have to bother with these lineup changes and waivers things.  ;)

Fittingly, it was @simey who got me that win because after I saw that post, I at least swapped in Mike Williams for my NE wr that was in there...

I don't think they can correct that because it was a referee ruling not a stat mistake.

Well I just lost my #1 guy and actually had a lot of hope for Jones this season - seemed poised to break out. Oh well.
Funny how that works. QB was supposed to be a huge weakness for my team but Hebert and Fitz look like studs and it’s my WRs who are killing me.

If someome needs to fill their super flex, I can trade a "quarterback" (Nick Foles or Kyle Allen) for a solid flex player this week.

I'd trade Mayfield or Burrows too. Maybe someone needs to trade their one good QB for two of my awful ones or something.

Just like how he's going to be my go-to in Shiny's league. Drafted this guy everywhere except for dynasty, where I got snagged waiting on him to go in his proper draft slot according to probability. Next time: IGNORE THE PROBABILITY.

If you have "guys", take them when you want to take them. Especially if you're at or near a turn.

Yeah, unfortunately I can't even claim that he was my guy. Bryan Edwards was because of his college production. I picked him with 2.07 of the rookie draft. Claypool I'd mocked a bunch of  times at the spots I had -- the 2.7 and the 3.1 -- but I went Edwards at 2.7 and waited for Claypool at 3.1. Nope. That said, we had no turn in our rookie draft. All linear based on record and tiebreaks from the past year. It operates like the NFL one, not like a snake draft. (Don't step on snek.)

It's funny. I'm a combine guy because there's no competition questions nor hedging. It's you and the scouts and pressure and the clock. But I bricked on Claypool until I started drafting him in redraft everywhere after being sorry I got beat to the punch in dynasty. I am going to regret MIms at 2.04 and Edwards at 2.07 over Claypool in that league. Oh well. Live and learn. I'll be much better next year in my second go-round with this.
