The hell if I know. I still wear the ones that have a cord that plugs into the phone, and then you put the little ear buds in each ear.Beats headphones (are they still trendy?).

The rules have been the same over the last 5 years in this league. There is clearly some frown upons on the rule of not having to draft a position (although you have to have it when the season starts). It feels uncomfortable doing something that others feel is unfair even though it's always been within the rules. And in the future I suppose it will be.
I just looked at what kind of band they are, and there are several descriptions, and one of them is "math rock." I then had to look up math rock. I have seen you talk about Steve Albini before. We're going to see Shellac tonight. Seattle is the first stop on their tour, and Steve says they haven't rehearsed in months and that the potential for disaster is high. Should be fun!
Jealous. Big Shellac fan.I just looked at what kind of band they are, and there are several descriptions, and one of them is "math rock." I then had to look up math rock. I have seen you talk about Steve Albini before.
Hmmm, I just had to look up "math rock," too!
Sounds like a case of "a Villa Strangiato".I just looked at what kind of band they are, and there are several descriptions, and one of them is "math rock." I then had to look up math rock.
Not doing that, but we have to maintain a legal roster at all times. One K and one D are sufficient.I'm old (school) enough to have played in a league that had fixed roster requirements for the entire season i.e. you had to draft and maintain two kickers all year.
We've been throwing position player darts for a while now. A top defense and kicker will have more value than two more RB/WR flyers, if only because the K and DST will remain on your roster until their bye weeks vs. a late-round rookie or deep sleeper who'll likely be dropped in the first two weeks of the season.

I guess that means my pick was ok this time. Eagles have such an easy schedule all year. Hopefully I won’t have to mess with my D.
Sony? Nice add. Made sense for the Chargers to add someone. Spiller and Kelley haven’t proven reliable. My deep sleeper just apparently signed with the Chargers hours after I drafted him.![]()

If it makes you feel better, one the players I drafted a couple rounds ago just got cut.Well at least I have both of them on my team![]()
No worries, I just wanted to confirm at that time that all I need to think about now is kicker.
Hi there.Justin Tucker isPumped to blow this first pick!![]()
I'm going to tell the story now because I believe it happened 20 years ago today, August 31, 2002, which the internet tells me was a Saturday.I have an anecdote about that tour. I might have told it in the GP4 thread. Don’t have time to get to it now, but I’ll try to remember it later:20 years ago, this tour— these dudes on this record opening for Queens of the Stone Age touring on Songs for the Deaf, Lanegan in tow… just blowing the roofs off jointsThe album that one comes from, Source Tags and Codes, is amazing. One of my favorites of the ‘00s. Their other albums are spottier.Song: How Near, How Far -- ...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead
I don't think I've ever listened to these guys before. I was always intimidated by their name.
AOTY 2002 Source Tags and Codes
Corroborrated here: https://xpn.org/2016/08/01/the-khyber-1992/I'm going to tell the story now because I believe it happened 20 years ago today, August 31, 2002, which the internet tells me was a Saturday.
In 2002, …And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead played a last-minute gig at The Khyber when their Electric Factory appearance with Queens of the Stone Age was cancelled. They wreaked havoc on the room, using their guitars to bust out the drop ceiling above the stage and knock the smashed tiles into the front row.
Worlds Apart was a real divisive record. When I saw them on tour for that, a guy standing near me vocally complained every time they played a song from it.Same happened in DC (9:30 club) where TOD filled the night with a headlining set and basically everybody got to come back to the rescheduled Queens date for free. I don’t remember those kind of deets but I know I fell in love with the band until, well, their next album and I knew it was time to hedge the bets but.. I love their 2nd and 3rd, and their garagey yet wholly professional and entertaining set was a total slam fest

Olive the pug came home from the vet last night and is back to her same rambunctious self today. Thanks for all the well wishes. Thanks simey.Does she have canine bloat? Well wishes and prayers to her.My dog is in the vet ICU. She started vomiting out of the blue yesterday and then developed diarrhea. She got very lethargic in a matter of minutes. She was hypotensive and hypothermic upon arrival.
We thought she was a goner but is improved a bit this morning. Not out of the woods yet though.
She is a petite pug so I don’t think it’s bloat. We just got a call from the vet. They think she was in anaphylactic shock as she developed a typical allergic rash. They gave her steroids, antihistamines and IV fluids and she has improved considerably this morning.
That's wonderful. Olive has a mischievous look in her eyes. You have to look out for those raven haired beauties.Olive the pug came home from the vet last night and is back to her same rambunctious self today. Thanks for all the well wishes.

@The Dreaded Marco Don't you have a Dr friend that went to ECU?I forgot to make a song pick for Hamler.Pip selects K.J. Hamler, DEN
I think. He chose "K.J. Osborn, Den" but Osborn has already been selected. I'm using Occam's razor here.
Yes. One of my pediatric practice partners is a proud ECU grad.ECU and NC State play each other Saturday on ESPN at noon. I pull for both of those programs, but I am an ECU alumni, so I want them to win. The rest of my family went to NC State. ECU used to be great in football, but they have struggled since firing Ruffin McNeil several years ago. State is ranked #13 and ECU isn't ranked (they're #1 in my rankings). I hope the Pirates win or at least put up a big fight. I want the Pirates to rip the Wolfpack to shreds!@The Dreaded Marco Don't you have a Dr friend that went to ECU?
16.2 Matt Prater, K, Arizona Cardinals (thank God)
Sir Mix A Lot - Posse On Broadway
It is A WELL KNOWN FACT that Prater likes to cruise the main drag of whatever city he kicks in.
