THANK GOD. :laugh:

This is what RA's banter with me was about earlier. I told him I didn't want to be forced to draft Wilson and have two Jets on my team. Wilson was my highest-ranked player left.

Then you are set with a capital J
Which you'll never forget
'Til they cart you away
When you're a Jet
You stay a Jet!

4.10 Garrett Wilson - WR, NYJ

Surprised he was still out there - or maybe I missed it on the spreadsheet.

Midnight Oil - The Dead Heart

Peter Garrett is the lead singer. Or Representative Garrett to you and me.

@Northern Voice

I didn’t pick up on that exchange. Garrett may have a lot of ugly targets, but a potential 40% target share can’t be ignored.
Yes it can. This is a Jets-free zone.

Yeah DJ Moore had a spectacular season with Fields under center. I saw him still out there and was talking myself into him.

Fine I'll do it, Dashboard are too tempting to pass up.

4.11 Tyreek Hill, WR, MIA

Dashboard Confessional - Screaming Infidelities

Well, as for now I'm gonna hear the saddest songs
And sit alone and wonder how you're making out
But as for me, I wish that I was anywhere with anyone making out

@Ilov80s up

Was hoping he’d slide a few more spots.

@Northern Voice

One of the most memorable concerts I ever saw was the Oils at Red Rocks in '94. Garret was a force of nature in those days. And still took time out of the show to scold some parents in the front rows who had a baby, and made us wait 5 minutes until they found baby ear plugs to give the kid, who was in front of one of the speaker banks.

I recall there was some discussion about participants not posting songs when they made transactions during the year.

HA!

How about posting them when (or shortly after) you pick? I've tried to bring the playlist up to date, but I know the playlist is short on songs (50 right now for 60 picks). I'll update as I can but
1. Please no youtube links. If you can't link spotify, just post the song and artist and I'll do my best to find it
2. One song only! @rockaction , you posted 2 for one of your picks; I didn't add either. Post as many as you want for shtick, but please designate one for the playlist

Thanks

The sight of Peter could make any kid cry.

4.14 - Tetairoa McMillan, WR Car

Another upside pick here. Looking for a song and will post in a few.

@Don Quixote
Tet is #4 and is an another young guy for my team, so this song and artist works on a few levels.

Baby Again - Four Tet

Oh yeah love the music choice and football player too, we got rookie fever here

Had some Four Tet lined up too. Good choice. Need to pivot…

With the smallish bench I realized I need to be somewhat mindful of bye weeks. At the very least it’s the tie breaker between players in the same tier.

With pick 5.1 in the draft, the Anzac Diggers select:

Jacory Croskey-Merritt, RB, Washington Commanders

Gotta go with another college song here for my man Bill, saw Warren play at Rutgers on a date with my now-wife, must have been '83.

ROOKIE FEVER!!!!
My auction league has it because of how our keeper rules are designed. This league? Either this really is a banner year for rookies (QBs excepted) or the Shark Pool hype has been taken to another level.

5.03 - Calvin Ridley, WR Ten

Not a rookie, but he’s depending on one to get him the ball. Seems to be the favorite target so far.

Ridley: “Hey Rook, I’ll keep running routes further down the field if you keep throwing it to me. How deep is your love?”

How Deep is Your Love - Calvin Harris

As my old great-gandma Missy "7 fingers" Murphy used to say, "Sonny, you can't lose a fantasy league in the first few rounds, but you sure can win one. "

5.05 WR George Pickens Cowboys

Double movie connection here, the song is from the soundtrack for Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid which is connected to the old west cowboys and cattle wars. The movie also starred Slim Pickens.

Knockin' on Heaven's Door by Bob Dylan

@Northern Voice

These guys came and went pretty quickly but are hugely influential in the genre. They also helped Jimmy Eat World get their first record deal (I considered going "Lucky Denver Mint" by Jimmy Eat World for the song here but seems a bit early to double down on an artist, even the one that brought emo to the masses.

5.06 - Bo Nix, QB, DEN

Christie Front Drive - November

@zamboni

Are we allowed to play around with the filter sheet on the google doc (to do filters)? Or will that mess anything up?

There's a second tab that's meant to be for that - "filter sheet". Looks like it's populating like it's supposed to but it's all just carried over from past versions of the sheet so I'm not 100% sure

Yeah I wasn’t going to touch the draft sheet
