You’ll have to pick up a K/D before games start by either dropping a player or putting someone in the IR spot.

I plan on putting Aiyuk in my IR spot when he qualifies and picking up my kicker then.

Yeah, waivers will run and you pick up scraps. I couldn't care less about my kicker and D for week one because I've always streamed. It hurts my FAAB and jacks up my transactions, but I account for the FAAB and play a heavy churn style (even in dynasty). I try not to hold mediocre returns on my bench and defenses and kickers are really fungible. I actually think that's a good way to play it, although if I ever were to hurt for time my strategy would totally switch.

Yes, after waivers run players are free agents

Yes so on Tuesday after all the games are over, you can put a blind bid on for a player. The highest blind bid gets the player and everyone who bid lower keeps their money. The ubbid on players are then free agents until they play the following week and get locked again.

Oh crap. You know, it might have been the response that got me to take it seriously. Reading it in the context of the timing might have been really important. It's like if you're talking about free speech legality and somebody in the room stands up and yells "FIRE!" You might laugh until other people start running out the room with genuine concern on their faces.
