I can't even remember why I called my team the Froghoppers. I know the full name was too long and got cut to that.

Not gonna change it at this point.

?

Maybe?

They were goofy. I am too. Least I always dug their vibe and appreciated it. Here they are a three-piece, three-stringed bass, almost-Phish, would be almost-famous homage act.

So many liked their quirky first. I liked when they leaned into their goofy ungravitas even further and just went with it on II.

I love The Presidents, but that wasn't it.

Decided to pay money for a couple guys I could have gotten for free.

CJ Stroud, QB Hou
(Hopefully his brain is less foggy by week 14)

I’ve Suffered a Head Injury, The Verve Pipe

Devin Neal, RB NO
(he was a Kansas Jayhawk)

Kansas, Neil/Neal Young and Crazy Horse

Damn, so I thought I was pretty decently ensconced in the win column last week. I think I was sitting in the clubhouse up ~27 on Ilov80s with only his George Pickens to go. I was sort of confident going in, even though I know how dynamic Dallas is and that nothing is ever set in stone—but I figured CeeDee was playing and it was in Vegas, so that 76% probability of winning just might hold.

Welp, I was able to get some stuff done, but I kept looking up from my computer and every time I did George was catching the football and was subsequently doing something significant. The first time I saw him he was scoring a touchdown and celebrating, and then the next time I gathered up the gumption he was running after pivoting and turning while he broke tackle after tackle after tackle. So yeah, the ~27 Ilov80s needed going into the game seemed pretty damn easily anttainable, and I just shook my head knowing it was pretty much a done deal. He scored ~29.

I would say I don’t have much luck in this league but I cut Stefon Diggs in Week 3, so I don’t think luck is quite the explanation this year.

What’s the Rate My Team saying? “We think you have a 30% chance with poor in-season management?” That tracks.

I felt like these people did about old George.
