Need to shake it up, and no idea what food LA is really known for.
Me either, but I when I think of LA/Hollywood, I think of Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous (champagne wishes and caviar dreams), so Im going with deviled eggs topped with caviar and fresh chives. Picked up a jar of the black lumpfish variety for under $10 at the grocery store.  :moneybag:

So all the dozens of games I have seen Brady play don't count?   All the previous SBs don't count for some reason?   I already don't remember all the SBs Brady has played let alone all the playoff games.  I don't see how one game matters at this point.

And yes, another Pats SB is boring to me.
Not judging, GB.  I know I'm in the minority.

But I would think Brady winning a SB game would be a better story than him beating JAX in Week 3.

Well, now I know if you are quoting someone from a previous page, even though it doesn't appear to post, it does.  No need to hit Submit a second time.

Absolutely.  Tom Brady losing Super Bowls is a thing of beauty.  With a loss next weekend he would tie Jim Kelly and Fran Tarkenton for the all time record for Super Bowls losses.  Nothing will not deny Tom Brady another chance at immortality.
I think I've found my reason to watch the game.

And I don't blame anyone for watching the QB GOAT or coach GOAT or dynasty GOAT.   I fully expect the Pats to win since they are playing incredibly well.

Looking for instant pot recipes for the big day.

Not a Pats fan but I'm rooting for them. I love Brady and want to see him crush the rams.

For those hosting or bringing dishes to Super Bowl parties, what is your solid go-to?

We host and in addition to me making Buffalo wings (fry them myself) and a bunch of other unhealthy snacks (chips, dips, pizza bites, fried mozzarella, etc.) I also try to serve food based on the teams in the game. Last year was crab rolls and cheese-steak sliders.

Need to shake it up, and while I may default back to crab rolls, have no idea what food LA is really known for. Tacos? French Dip sliders (believe that was invented there)? Bacon-wrapped hot dogs (had a good one last time I was there).

Looking for the tried-and-true food crowd pleasers from your parties -- and any tested recipes you had.
My chili of course.  And Hogs in a Sleeping Bag

Headed to Vegas next Friday.  12 of us.  Mostly die hard Rams fans though we have couple who are Patriot lifers.  We booked the weekend back in November, and lo and behold it's Rams vs Patriots.  Mandalay Bay. Santana concert Saturday night.  The for Sunday we have the best table arrangement for sick SB party at the Foundation Room/House of Blues.  New jerseys ordered to represent in the city all weekend.  So looking forward to it!  Hope my Rams step up but I realize it's an awful lot to ask of Goff and a young team.  Heart is with the Rams but head says this is a no brainer Pats play..I'll play the over and some props - not betting on the game as I won't be against the Rams

Perfect opportunity for an emotional hedge, no?  I'm not a Rams fan (49ers fan) but I hate the Pats.  So I put enough money on them that at least if they win outright I'll profit, but if the Rams win I'll be happy with the amount I "paid to be happy."

I like the way you think.

“I know it’s arguably the best party day of the year, with 98% of America throwing down with awesome food, gambling, and enjoying the last football game of the year...... buuuuuut Tom Brady is a doo doo head. I’m staying home alone and watching Oprah”
Game's on a Sunday. I have to get up for work the next morning. Even if I were to watch, it would be at home with the wife. It's football, just not really that big of a deal to us.

I keep having this feeling Pat's RB Rex Burkheart  is going to do something that changes things. Yep, gut feeling., hell, a fumble?  a great run?  Something~~~

When have we ever seen all four teams left standing where two plays changed everything for all four teams?

Should have been Saints vs Chiefs.

An off sides and a non pass inteference call changed everything.

As far as munchies go,  as long as there are plenty of them, all that matters.
I can name 4 games in a row: Cowboys beat Lions on a iffy pass interference call, then Packers beat the Cowboys on the Dez catch/no catch, then Seahawks beat the Packers on the muffed onside kick, then the Patriots beat Seahawks in the Superbowl with the last second INT.

Seeing the Pats crush them would be a nice change from their usual great/lucky/miracle last minute finish.

It boggles my mind how such a great team can never beat anyone by 7 or more points in any Super Bowl. All of the other NFL dynasty teams seem to do that at least once.

When the refs control the game, they also control the outcome.  They will let the Pats players do what they always do molest oppossing wr, have their ol continuously hold and much more.  What will be fun seeing,  I'm not gonna watch this crap show.  Is listening to the Pats fan complain about the calls on monday when they get smoked by two touchdowns.

Who am I kidding the refs will once again play a huge factor in letting the pats win.  In another fixed game the pats win 23-20.  Goodell says there is a ref problem and they'll look into it during the off season.  Lol!
