Tampa Bay Bucs thread: back to back to back to back NFC South Champs (1 Viewer)

Is it just me, or does Arians seem like he doesn't do much and the inmates are running the asylum? It's like he's just there to watch the team do their thing and doesn't seem very interested. I dunno.

What’s the playoff seeding pic look like assuming all win out? I thought we were #4, but NFL.com lists us at #3 behind the Rams.

sorry, I almost cost us the game today folks. I went out with the family to hit some golf balls and didn't wear my Brady jersey. I thought I would be home before the game started but didn't get home until half time. Luckily, I was able to change at the half. That was close!

If Dallas wins we’ll be the 4.  Need a lot of breaks to get to 2.
Bucs need Fournette back and I'm not sure that's going to happen.

Bucs need a better version of Mike Evans

Bucs need Gronk to be what he was early on in 2021

Bucs need Shaq Back

Bucs need a WR on the current roster to..."Step Up!"

Bucs need a lot of things to go their way but most of it revolves around getting something going for the playoff run.

4 Seed likely to host Coach kliFF and the Smurf, that should be a win. Bucs can travel to Dallas, they can travel to Los Angeles but I do think a return to Green Bay will not end the same way as last year.

I hope Brady signs on for another year and the Bucs go out and LOAD UP again on Offense, it's not over in 2021 but it looks lie things have gone bad here down the stretch. Reminds me a bit of Brady's last year in New England

But he did bring the Bucs today and he did WIN the game today that Brown quit on, it's possible the Bucs go into a rare mental team persona them VS the WORLD and that would be just fine with me.

Rams need to lose to the Niners. Doesn’t seem particularly likely but we may be better avoiding the 7 anyhow if the Saints get it.
I’d love to see them in the first round. Exorcise the demons.

Two regular season losses to the Saints is Tampa’s prerequisite to a Lombardi.

Gonna be a hard road either way. Eagles/Niners in round 1, @Rams round 2, probably @Packers round 3. They made it harder on themselves.

Ya it feels like maybe a let down year for them. Losing your top rb and 2 of your tip 3 wrs is just brutal. But never count Tom out.

Nah I know they have a chance, a good one even. Just two likely road games is challenging. Hopefully Tom gives it one more year.

They'll need Shaq, JPP, and LaVonte back.  JPP hasn't been getting it done in pass rush, but he's a better run defender than Tryon.  The Eagles want to run the ball now, and the Bucs have been getting gashed lately.  Good matchup for Philly if these guys aren't 100%.  Devin White hasn't been the same splash play guy this year either.

Tampa looks like a one and done playoff team to me.  They've cake walked through the season.

We’ll see. They have Tom so they could easily go on a run in the playoffs. They aren’t the favorites but I wouldn’t want to see them if I were the Packers either.

Maybe there’s a switch they can flip. They weren’t really consistent or dominant at any point last year either, but they entered the playoffs pretty healthy other than Vea. Can’t say that this season.

But, Tom.

Tom Brady has thrown 93 touchdowns in 37 games as a Buc.

it’ll never be better than this. Gotta enjoy every single game.

Best possible scenario for the Bucs after what they went thru a couple week ago and then the AB debacle, Godwin-IR, Fournette-IR and yet...

Bucs end up drawing the #2 Seed and what that means is if Tampa Bay wins vs the up n down Eagles that truly like to run the football and the Bucs are pretty good at stopping it with Vita Vea the new $72M Man.

-Assume Dallas can fend off San Francisco and I have my doubts but if they win in Big D next week then they automatically come to Tampa Bay the next week so in essence Green Bay has the much harder draw because they are likely to face the NFC West in their opening game and I would give the Rams a fighting chance if hey travel to Green Bay.

-Bucs Beat Dallas, Rams beat Green Bay, Bucs host Rams for the NFCC and I'll stop the train right there and see if we can even get to that point.

-If Dallas gets beat by the Niners and we are talking Shanahan vs McCarthy so you gotta factor that in but if the Niners win then you get the Rams/Cards coming into town but maybe they will be exhausted. Assuming the Bucs beat the Eagles, I'm thinking it won't be that close. I've watched a lot of Eagles games, great fan base around here, no ill will but they are shaky and the Bucs should be coasting by the 3rd/4th Q if they get focused.

I would be rooting for Dallas fellow Bucs fans. Bucs can feast on the NFC East and I'm sure Dallas would love a rematch of Opening Night.

That's all well and good and I appreciate the effort -- in particular I think SF takes out Dallas -- but let's not kid ourselves here.  Tom Brady will be posting up at Aaron's Last Chance Saloon in Wisconsin on 1/30.

Unless you got ref crews that don't wear those colors, it ain't happening.

I agree on SF having a great shot at beating Dallas and Az could also upset the rattled Rams.  And NE will need a windstorm, which could happen.

If I were Green Bay I’d be rooting for Dallas next week. I think San Fran is the third-best team in the conference, drawing them and Deebo and that run game in round 2 would be rough. Give me the Rams-Arizona winner over them any day.

I feel good about drawing the Eagles. They are pretty clearly the 7th best team in the NFC playoffs. They can run the ball but I’d be very surprised if they can hold Tom down. Should be fun.

Plus, SF should win easily since Jimmy G is the 7th best QB in the league according to you, and Rodgers is ranked 32nd

Oh yea I found the real list today. I guess in that one they didn’t reveal the grades outside the top-3 so I don’t know what that order was.

Rodgers

is 2nd and your boy was 20th. I’ll go dig it up for you.

Here you go, plz keep telling me how

Wentz

is good
Sure, so he's the same as Russell Wilson then.

By the way he's 13th on the other list once unlocked.

I don't think he's amazing, but he had a very good season before the meltdown at the end.

If it wasn't for the fact that the league went to 17 games this season, the Buccaneers would be hosting the 49ers in the wild card round, while the Eagles wouldn't have even made the playoffs.

The whole season would have gone differently.  You can't say this.

Eagles fans both here and on Twitter are extremely confident, saying the Eagles will win. I mean, the Bucs did almost lose to the sorry Jets a few weeks ago but they were playing like a bored team and had 4 starters out.

If the Bucs play their A game there is very little chance the Eagles win, but maybe they won’t? I have to think Tom has them ready to go.

Never bet against playoff Tom Brady is still a tried and true rule, at least against the Eagles.

Before the final seeds were set, as a Packer fan I wanted to see the Cowboys then Bucs at Lambeau. That would be two fantastic games with some historical ties. Every team is a tough out now, but those were the games I wanted to see the most. The Packers beat the Rams, Cards and 49ers already this season.  All are dangerous teams who could win any game, but I've already seen them this season and would much prefer seeing some new blood at the Tundra.

Yea I can admit as a Bucs fan I’d prefer the home nfc title game obviously but going back to Lambeau for another title game and Brady vs Rodgers and Bay of Pigs etc is super cool.

I’m good with whatever this ride has been like a dream honestly.

If we don't do something different, it's going to be a long day.

And if the Eagles somehow beat the Bucs,

I think people are sleeping on TB and I think they were on Cruise control most of the second half this year given they knew they had that division wrapped up.

Ya Capella, the above posts from all the Eagles fans here sure does look like they're "extremely confident and saying the Eagles will win" *eyeroll*

If LaVonte is good to go I’m a lot more confident. If he’s still out the Eagles have a fighting chance to get their ground game humming.

Also like reading that the rain may be done by the time the game starts. That bodes well for TB.

All that said, the Bucs haven’t seemed like a hungry team to me all year. They just kind of out-talent everyone.

I posted a few weeks ago that they look like a one and done “shrug because we won it all last year” squad. But, we’ll see. I’ve got some $ on the Eagles to cover the -8.5. That’s for sure.

Is that every quote in the Eagles thread? lol.
There’s multiple people in there predicting a win. I’m sure you saw them when you were cherry-picking the quotes above.

Yea. Now sounds like a lot of wind. Sure Brady can throw through it.

I do agree they haven’t been hungry and try to just out-talent everybody. Maybe they’ll turn it on for the playoffs but I’m not really counting on it.

13-4 when you’re bored is pretty good though.

LOL this guy hops into our thread with some lame trash talk literally out of nowhere with zero context, paraphrasing:  "Funny fact Tampa has more titles in 18 months than Philly history" or some stuff now he's taking our quotes and making it look like we think we are gonna roll over you guys. I dunno, I think the game will be closer than our first meeting and we have a shot? I mean, its the playoffs. I guess if you gotta do stuff like this to hype yourself up you might not be all that confident.

Good luck gang! Should be entertaining!

I see you've helped yourself to the Eagles thread, Capella.

It's a mixture of extreme righteousness, long postings, and total butthurt for the most part. I visit often for the lulz.

Of course you're paraphrasing, Terpman22. Of course you are.

LOL whats your angle here buddy?

Yea that was a mistake lol. I didn’t talk any crap except when djackson said the Bucs will go back to the garbage can when Brady leaves, as if the Eagles have been running some prolonged dynasty over there.

I have nothing against Eagles fans. My favorite sports memory came against the Eagles. How could I be mad at them?

I don’t have a problem with Eagles fans predicting a win or being confident. Who cares? I just thought it was surprising.

Before I muck up the TB thread with my fascination with the Philly thread, I'll go post there and draw the heat away.
